Trump: We have defeated ISIS (Really?)

Leadership matters.

TIME Inc

Let's also watch Pence echo Trump's remarks: linked, here. Does Pence have an original bone in his body?

Well, is it possible ISIS doesn't want the US to pull our troops from Syria?  What follows is an obvious strategy to garner attention from the US.

MSNBC Morning Joe

Of course, you know Putin wasn't a larger role in the Middle East and has long wanted a back down of a US presence.

What Putin wants. Trump gives.

Imagine any past US President seeking the attention of a Russian or Soviet Leader to the point of childish beckoning.  At the G20.....

Trumpism Gazette: Grows and Spreads (It will Eventually Touch You)

We use the phrase "rational Americans" in any of our posts. Realize we do so with absolute certainty the nation is suffering from chronic insanity on the political and social Right.

Take a look and listen to the perfect examples of why we separate Right and Left for purpose of prose. When the political advertisement has core props of numerous firearms and with consideration of the overwhelming number of firearm deaths across the nation, our contempt for all things Right is reinforced.

A candidate for the Governorship of Georgia

Now we speak of the hurt from Trumps ObamaCare cuts?

The good doctor and that letter we all knew he did not write. Talking Points Memo and John Marshall.

Trump as Nobel Peace Prize Recipient?

Are you up to speed on the current move to secure a Nobel Peace Prize for Trump?  Of course, the President of South Korea is speaking openly about the matter as he, as a middle of the road peacemaker, has sought peace with Kim Jong Un since he took office a year ago. If you are not aware of other efforts don't feel put off. Most TV media isn't covering Trump's wish for the Prize; social media, on the other hand, is rife with reports of subterfuge via stolen identities to nominating Trump.

National print media have published a few accounts of the fake letters  We feel the Washington Post piece is a detailed accounting of what is known to date (linked here).

Let's think for a minute. We have a doctor admitting he didn't write letters widely published in 2016 as a testimony of Trump's great health.  If you recall the former White House Physician to the President also read a letter of praise for Trump's health which included an advertisement for Trump DNA. Funny and strange things are occurring with letters during the era of Trump.

Now for a quick run through what seems daily reports regarding a nation which is regressing regard race. Regressing to a time when nonwhites were rarely mentioned in the press, the media and seemed to live as what I (disparagingly) call The Invisible Negro.

I will wager not one of his police calling neighbors voted with a Left lean.

Also something remarkably conservative about this sheriff.

Wonder if Trump finds these people as "fine people on both sides?" Better yet, how about that death penalty he espouses.

Speaking of conservatives embracing racism. How about a bit of Pence and his snuggle with Arpaio? "

 “America’s toughest sheriff”

Since 2015 Trump has been very open and preachy about our need to seek the death penalty against "drug dealers". While I have little to no sympathy for anyone who sells drugs, it should be noted Trump hasn't commented in any form regarding the 47 white supremacists recently arrested in Texas for the manufacturer and selling all sorts of harmful street drugs.

Follow the story via the Huffington Post.

Do you think Trump would recommend the death penalty for those arrested if they are found guilty?

Do you recall this from July 2015

How about we end with a peep at the real impact of Trump/Ryan's tax cuts (which Ryan loves to call "tax reform")?

Tax Plan And The GOP Facade

...the lies continue

The inarguable suckup of the 20th and 21st Centuries. Mike Pence, unleashed a stomach-curdling suckup to Donald Trump which most rational men and women would reserve for private suckling. Not the Trump style.

Various media are reporting Pence offered kissing praise of Trump every 12 seconds throughout the three-minute oral massage. If one thinks about the fact Pence never once looked a set of notes, the rational person has to acknowledge Pence is a second to none tsunami level ass kisser.

Take a look and listen, if you missed it earlier in the week.  Also, watch as Trump receives his suckling. Imagine Rome's Nero or Sadaam Hussein receiving lavished praise while gloating like an expectant father.

As is commonly the case with Trump and company, Pence's remarks were laced with lies.

Image may contain: 1 person

Alas, Pence wasn't the only lie purveyor over the course of later last week. Trump and his daughter also provided backup chorus renditions of Trumpism.

Today marks a great win for all Americans. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act provides $5.5 trillion in tax cuts, $3.2 trillion, or nearly 60 percent, of which go to families.

12:08 PM - 20 Dec 2017 from Washington, DC

The USA TODAY effectively dealt with the $3.2 Trillion lie.   Linked.

CBS and most credible media also reported on Trump and his congressional operatives comment after the bill signing. The CBS fact check follows via an excerpt and the linked article.

A look at remarks made Wednesday and earlier about the tax plan Trump will shortly sign into law.
PRES. TRUMP: "It's the largest tax cut in the history of our country." — remarks Wednesday.
THE FACTS: It isn't. For months Trump has refused to recognize larger tax cuts in history, of which there have been many, or to grant that other presidents have enacted big tax cuts since Ronald Reagan in the 1980s.
An October analysis by the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget found that it would be the eighth biggest since 1918. As a percentage of the total economy, Reagan's 1981 cut is the biggest followed by the 1945 rollback of taxes that financed World War II. Trump's plan is also smaller than cuts in 1948, 1964 and 1921, and probably in other years.
Valued at $1.5 trillion over 10 years, the plan is indeed large and expensive. But it's much smaller than originally intended. Back in the spring, it was shaping up as a $5.5 trillion package. Even then it would have only been the third largest since 1940 as a share of gross domestic product.
CBS linked.

Yes, the linked article also reached into Democrat "falsehoods" (lies).

Do you believe Americans will eventually tire of Trumps lies?

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Trump, TrumpCare, Repal ObamaCare And Your GOP

ObamaCare Facts dot com

Have you followed the developing story of US Senate efforts to ramrod an ObamaCare repeal through the chamber prior to a September 30th, procedural deadline? If you have followed the story, you know a preponderance of US Senators are ready to cast a vote to effectively turn national medical coverage legislation over to the states. If you haven't followed the story, follow it below.

We start with an MSNBC segment via the network's Ali Velshi.
The details from a liberal network perspective.

Take a minute and watch what happens when GOP elected operatives appear on camera while totally ill-equipped to  speak intelligently (without lying) about a bill the party wants to rush through to a vote. Wisconsin's Ron Johnson should have declined the interview.

If you have a few more (video) minutes take time to watch "Mr. Quip" Vice President Pence avoid questions about pre-existing conditions guarantees with a false statement about a Thomas Jefferson quote.
False
Pence"Thomas Jefferson said, ‘Government that governs least governs best.’ "
— Mike Pence on Thursday, September 21st, 2017 in comments on 'Fox & Friends'

Is there anyone in the Trump cabal who can wear a collar called credible? Maybe Pence should also avoid on camera interviews. A decent thought, but how can one campaign to replace Trump if he doesn't show on Fox & Friends with misinformation to feed the shows absorbent audience.

If you are a news geek or a person who enjoys Jimmy Kimmel, late night ABC, you are following his point-counterpoint with Senator Cassidy (R-LA) and the aggregate GOP talking heads who support TrumpCare. The current kerfuffle started after Kimmel delivered an emotional monologue about the post-birth health of his second child (born with a serious/chronic heart disease).

As Mitch McConnell moved his Senate GOP Majority towards an ObamaCare "kill bill," Cassidy appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show and stuck his naive foot in his mouth all the way through the heel of the foot. As you watch an excerpt from the Kimmel show (from May of this year) think about what is currently transpiring with the Senate efforts to kill medical care for millions while offering significant tax cuts to the nation's Top .01% (many of which financially supported Trump's election).

It is also important to note Kimmel's is catching the wrath of conservatives who are obviously following tightly transcribed talking points which include one rotund New Jersey governor referring to Kimmel as "not a serious person...on this matter."

Kimmel vs the GOP is one item and a sure loss for the GOP. Kimmel's personal experience with chronic ailments didn't relegate his family to financial ruin. Think of families in the hundreds of thousands who receive similarly dire health diagnosis without the comfort of millions to secure the best healthcare.

What does the bill actually take away from current ObamaCare recipients (and the recipients of medical coverage under ObamaCare)? The nation's (and possibly the world's) most credible news sources, NPR sums-up the Cassidy-Graham bill as such.

"The Graham-Cassidy plan would take health insurance coverage away from millions of people, eliminate critical public health funding, devastate the Medicaid program, increase out-of-pocket costs and weaken or eliminate protections for people living with pre-existing conditions," says Georges Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association, in a statement.
Here's what it does:
Graham-Cassidy essentially deconstructs all of the major programs created by the Affordable Care Act, gathers up the money and hands it over to states to run their own health care programs.
It gets rid of both the subsidies that help people buy individual health insurance policies and the reimbursements to insurance companies for offering price breaks on copayments and deductibles to the lowest-income customers.
It rolls back the Obamacare Medicaid expansion that was adopted by 31 states and Washington, D.C., and it eliminates the Basic Health Program that was created under the ACA and implemented in New York and Minnesota.
All the money that currently goes to those initiatives would instead be distributed to the states as block grants that would particularly benefit those states that did not expand Medicaid earlier and those states with lower health care costs.
And, what do some in the White House think about the developing bill and possible vote?  Politico reports at last one White House officials has stated they 'don't know what to think" the developing bill.  (Talking Points Memo)

Under normal condition's I would adjoin the Politico report with a question like: "Can you believe that?"  As I consider Trump and his GOP, the need for such a rhetorical question doesn't present a real need.

Finally, how does the healthcare industry rate the GOP "kill ObamaCare" bill. Huffington Post link.

It seems health care isn't buying the GOP tax cut bill.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Pence And His Staff (Incompetent, Funny And Revealing)

What you are about to read through seems to be endemic to Trump's Administration?  The embodiment of the delineated FUBAR supports my growing suspicion the Trump team did not expect to win the presidency. If we think back through the past four weeks, we find almost daily evidence of a Keystone Cop operation and a commitment to regressing the nation back to the 1940s.

Behold the embodiment of governance only fit for a high school level civics class.

Vice President Mike Pence tweeted to proclaim his solidarity and support for the Jewish people of Israel.

So far, so jingoistic.

But that wasn't the first version - this was:

All seems normal until you take a much closer look at that Israeli flag emoji.

Correct - that's not the Israeli flag. That one belongs to Nicaragua.

A Conservative Gallery of Horrors: Fifteen Days of Pure Hell!

It has been a terrible two weeks for conservative America. Their national moniker, the confederate flag, has come under fire since its pictorial brandish via a killer of nine African-Americans during a prayer worship session. The SCOTUS also handed conservative Americans a fat case of heartburn and psyhic fizzle via a series of rulings that culminated in legalizing same sex marriage in all 50 states. Thus, it is time for a run through a TPI gallery of conservatism.

Let's start our review of the gallery with a Mediaite segment featuring a noted rightwing minstrel who will see a marked decrease in his earnings potential int he near future.

Mediaite.....

Screen Shot 2015-06-24 at 11.14.00 AM
A discussion on Fox News surrounding efforts to remove the Confederate flag from Southern state Capitol buildings took a sharp turn Wednesday morning when The Black Sphere founder Kevin Jackson uttered this assertion about the young, white man who shot and killed nine black people in Charleston, South Carolina church last week: “Liberals created this kid that shot up the church.”
Video follows

Kevin Jackson must be taken in context. He is yet another example of minstrels who flock up against President Obama and progressive America. He and others like him (including the increasing emotionally unstable Cornell West) will see their television airtime and earning potential exponentially subside when President Obama leaves office Fox news and other media will have no need for "color commentary" (pun intended) via black minstrels.
Lincoln Theodore Monroe Andrew Perry, better known by the stage name Stepin Fetchit, was an American comedian and film actor. And he was brilliant!

Kevin Jackson placates Fox News's white audience like the fictional character called Stepin Fetchit.

While Haley's only offense was her comments in support of removing the Confederate Flag from the south Carolina capital building, she became an object of conservative hatred and scorn. After a few days of flak regrading Coulter's "Dog Whistle" us of anti-immigrant oratory and cloaked racism, Coulter went here

Unbelievable.

Fox News dogma has no end and speaks tot he level of hatred endemic in its viewers. We must always remember, Fox News is a business and Business can only remain viable and an ongoing business concern if the business gives its customers (viewers) what they want.

Yet another Fox News talking head demagogue equates the Justice ruling on same sex marriage with a diminution of democracy.

 Image result for democracy
  1. Democracy definition. A system of government in which power is vested in the people, who rule either directly or through freely elected representatives. Note: Democratic institutions, such as parliaments, may exist in a monarchy.
Fox News' Charles Krauthammer thinks today was a terrible day for democracy.
Posted by Mediaite on Friday, June 26, 2015
A little something for Krauthammer.....Freedom To Marry comprehensive polling data that tells the real story of 'majority' support for same ex marriage. The operative word here is "majority," as in democracy.
Hannity is so sad you might even be able to taste his tears. They even float judicial impeachment - and Hannity includes John Roberts!
Posted by Media Matters for America on Friday, June 26, 2015
We will visit the gallery a bit more as America's conservatives are percolating beyond the precipice of sanity and boiling over with anger.  Wonder why no anger about the Citizens United ruling, voting rulings that negatively affect black people, decisions that facilitated discrimination against child bearing aged women, and absolutely no anger about the many corporations friendly rulings from the Roberts Court.

Robert's Court aside, issues related to the Confederate Flag speaks volumes about the GOP and its regressive civil rights hating constituents.

MSNBC' Chris Hayes ran a segment that follows a radio broadcast in which a caller was taken to task after she express empathy and respect for ancestors who may have held the flag.
