As Trump's World Turns: "Leadership", Zero Tolerance, YOU GOV, Fact Check,

Image result for poor leadership quotes

A pure leadership void.  Your GOP vote embodied in one meme.

It is a pathetic reality with Trump and it has repeatedly happened since January 2017.

Zero Tolerance (POLITICO)

Various media are reporting Trump now regrets signing the Executive Order to address family separation. How erratic and impetuous? Such leadership kills organizations (and in our case a nation).

MSNBC recently ran a segment with three graphics from a CBS/You Gov survey. Our screenshots are posted below.

Do you see why Trump is expressing regret for signing the Executive Order?  Imagine the flak he is catching form his inner circle which may include some of his offspring and flak from many GOP Congressional who represent that people whose personal opinions is reflected in the YOU GOV survey.  Yes, Americans most ugly chapter in many decades is rooted and nourished in conservative America en mass. Fear of a browning nation, an aversion of all matters non-white, xenophobia and other socials ailments among conservatives is the problem.

Pew Research published a piece which indicates immigration to the US is on the decline as part of its Five Facts about illegal immigration.

How does Trump associate and from brief campaign manager feel about being confronted with tragic stores about family separation? His comment embodies the essence of Trumpism.

Another example of leadership.

Yesterday, we published this piece.  This morning Trump goes completely childish with one of his many morning tweets. I do not recall reading any articles or reports of Trump having visited the Red Hen restaurant. Did he dispatch an inspection crew to visit the establishment?

If all of that is true, why would Huckabee Sanders wish to eat at the Red Hen?  No, Trump used the tweet to feed his herds of sycophants. Any rational person should wonder if it is legal for elected officials to publicly criticize a business as such.

Image may contain: 1 person, textIf the answer to the previous question is "Yes", is it possible a president elected (only via the "Leadership", Zero Tolerance, YOU GOV,  Fact Check, and not duly elected via the people) is excluded from the law?

New York Magazine commented on Trump's attack on the tiny restaurant. NYMAG.

Of course, we have to visit with Trump's Impromptu presser of last week.  MSNBC's Katy Tur fact-checked 19 untruths (lies) from 45 (via The Raw Story).  The nation's 45th and the truth, or an inability to speak truthfully.

On another front..... Take a peep and listen to an example of out-of-the-closet: xenophobia (racism).

Ugly, eh?

Leadership? Well, it is a matter of perspective until the lack thereof fails the people and the nation.

If you are a person with full control of your thought processes, particularly the more rational of your cognitive processes you have to at some time wondered why so many Americans harbor a strong affinity for Donald Trump.  What makes them tick and why would they have developed such a deep affinity for a person who lies much more than he speaks the truth, a person with clear indications of severe narcissism and a person who appears as one who would be king?

Trump has settled out of court on issues involving housing discrimination, outright fraud (Trump University) an I am certain other matters which a buried in his secret world of private business dealings. He has been broadcast on video speaking of what amounts to the physical abuse of women. A 70-year-old Trump broadcasting on the Howard Stern Show agreeing with the 62-year-old Howard Stern it was OK to refer to his 21-year-old daughter as a "piece of ass".  Additionally, there are over 12 women who have come forth with the accusation of Trump's physical abuse.

More recently, we found evidence of Trump's utter contempt for women during his 2016 campaign for the US Presidency.

And, via his stalking of Democrat Party opponent candidate Clinton during a televised debate. Also, notice Trump literally read Clinton's debate notes. One would think the moderator would have intervened as he read his opponents notes.

All said take another moment a review how Trump won in 2016:

Data for 2016 were collected by Edison Research for the National Election Pool, a consortium of ABC News, The Associated Press, CBS News, CNN, Fox News and NBC News. The voter survey is based on questionnaires completed by 24,537 voters leaving 350 voting places throughout the United States on Election Day including 4,398 telephone interviews with early and absentee voters.
Exit Polling told the story of the white woman vote. Despite his utter disregard for common decency regarding women, white women joined white men in electing Trump (along with millions of non-voters who via their choice were defaulted Trump voters).

From November exit polling to an early December 2017, Pew Research poll and Trump's approval ratings.
The new national survey by Pew Research Center, conducted Nov. 29-Dec. 4 among 1,503 adults, finds that President Trump’s job approval rating has declined over the course of his first year in office.
Currently, 32% of the public approves of the way Trump is handling his job as president, while 63% disapprove. Trump’s job approval is little changed since October (34%), but lower than in early February (39%), a few weeks after Trump’s inauguration. Pew Research Center surveys are based on the general public, rather than registered or likely voters. Trump’s approval rating in the current survey among registered voters is 34%. (For more on the differences in these bases, see “A basic question when reading a poll: Does it include or exclude nonvoters?”).
Despite the obvious erosion of Trump support among his voter base, it is a worthwhile consideration to understand what makes his supporters "tick". Why the support for a person who so seems to only care about himself and his family and who lies more than any past US President? He speaks of record-breaking White House leadership. Well, he certainly has far surpassed the level of lies recorded via his predecessor.

Is it possible so many have no regard for honesty and decency?  Or, is it possible Trump's election is an existential reality of a metastasized GOP Southern Strategy

A University of California study may shed light on certain aspects of that Love Of Trump. We have opted for excerpts with a link back tot he full study report for our deep readers.

Social Psychological Perspectives on Trump Supporters

Thomas F. Pettigrew

No one factor describes Trump’s supporters. But an array of factors – many of them reflecting five major social psychological phenomena can help to account for this extraordinary political event: authoritarianism, social dominance orientation, prejudice, relative deprivation, and intergroup contact. Research on the topic demonstrates that these theories and concepts of social psychology prove centrally important in helping to understand this unexpected event. This paper describes the supporting data for this statement and demonstrates the close parallels between these American results and those of research on far-right European supporters.
The Tinder
The Trump movement is not singular within the United States (the Know Nothing movement in the 1850s, the Wallace movement in the 1960s, and the more recent Tea Party Movement). Moreover, other democracies have seen similar movements (e.g., Austria’s Freedom Party, Belgium’s Vlaams Blok, France’s National Front, Germany’s Alternative for Germany Party (AfD), and Britain’s U.K. Independence Party (UKIP). In virtually all these cases, the tinder especially involved male nativists and populists who were less educated than the general population. But this core was joined by other types of voters as well. Five highly interrelated characteristics stand out that are central to a social psychological analysis – authoritarianism, social dominance orientation, outgroup prejudice, the absence of intergroup contact and relative deprivation.
Authoritarianism and Social Dominance Orientation (SDO)

Intergroup Contact
Relative Deprivation

While every word of the report is of less interest than key points in each of the five categories, it is important to consider the author's diligence in providing international evidence of the study findings.

The study is a good read. We will leave you with that suggestive point.

Trump Six Months In Office

Image result for trump polling down

America...we really should expect better from the White House.

Record low approval levels, Russian hacking, and healthcare are serving as an anvil to Trump's Administration as surely as he is overweight.

A just released ABC News/Washington Post Poll shows the extent of the political and leadership bleeding.

Pew also recently published a poll with another stark reality about Trump.

ObamaCare A Thorn For The GOP

After years of conservative and Right-wing politician railing about the ACA (AKA ObamaCare), it seems the worms has turned with most Americans interested in keeping the core of the law.

The GOP majority in the US House of Representatives have, over the past few years, wasted 58 repeal ObamaCare votes. Each vote cost the nation $1.4 to $1.6 million per vote.  The math yields an alarming waste of our tax dollars and Congressional resources wasted on obstructing Obama.

Connect The Dots offers a graphic with specifics lists of ACA benefits important to millions.

The following Huffington Post favorability ratings are also reflective of a GOP out of touch with the nation, even though Pew Research data shows a much highrr favorbaility rating.

Pew Research continues to publish polling results with a favorable disposition to the ACA.  Contrary to Trump peppering his minions with words of "fake polls" Nate Silver;s 538 blog lists Pew with an B plus rating and a slight left lean (to be fair).

Talking Points Memo published a piece earlier today with favorable ACA results at the level of 54% approval. (CLICK image below)

What is it about the ACA doesn't the GOP understand?  Would you care to wager, the majority party in the US Congres will work to motivate the ACA Vs. a full repeal?  Of course, GOP ideology induces fears of improvements which will appear as such, but in the long run fail the spirit of providing healthcare to Americans.

Any Foundation For Fascism Is Grounded In Media Control

Have we actually moved to the use of media to advance an agenda which may have a basis in gleeful support from Russia's Putin? It appears Trump and company are about promulgating a dual mission. First, cover up Russian involvement in Trump's campaign win (along with associated interaction with Russian officials). Second, Trump and his henchmen are literally working to develop a communication support system akin to that developed for the Third Reich by none other than Joseph Goebbels.

Watch, read and discern what follows.  There is no other name for this (figurative) horse.

Take a look at how Trump and Bannon's gaggle shook out.
◆ NY Times
◆ LA Times
◆ BuzzFeed
◆ The Guardian

◆ Breitbart
◆ Washington Times
◆ Fox

So, Trump and his communications team, invited a handpicked "co-signing conservative media outlets to literally feed information via those outlets to Trump's supporters.

Where have we seen such as we consider post 19th Century history?

Pew Research regularly polls regarding American ideology and media considered attractive and relevant based on ideology.

Pew Research (2014 Ideology survey)

Ideological Placement of Each Source's Audience

A whopping 44% of those who responded to Pew's survey said they got news from CNN in the past week. Other network and cable news outlets — Fox, ABC, NBC, CBS, and MSNBC — took the remaining top five spots. Fox's audience leans conservative, while CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC have audiences that lean left.
Even with data which is approached three years old, the Trump/Bannon/Priebus strategy is stark and as revealing as Trump's comb-over. Restrict real media, real journalist and feign away from probing eyes from people who are not part of the Trump sycophancy or the Trump target audiences.

While MSNBC didn't make this particular Trump "real news end run", MSNBC ran a couple of segments last night worthy of international scrutiny.  A Department of Homeland Security leaks has revealed telling details about Trump's flawed travel ban. We are also coming around to what is appears more and more like a Nixon political cover up. We have posted the following segment as a contrast to any reporting you will find on Fox News, Breitbart (in any form) and other conservative propaganda networks.  Late night MSNBC:

I ask that you review the Pew Research graphic once again before you move to the following parts of this post.
Mediaite published a piece about yesterday's "choice" non-public briefing with media sources to the right of the Pew graphic.

CNN and Other Media Outlets Blocked From White House Gaggle

A number of media outlets have been blocked from attending a White House press gaggle being held today. Among those banned are CNN, Politico, the LA Times, BuzzFeed and the New York Times. (CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin immediately commented that this was “not okay.”)

Spicer requiring sign up for an 'expanded pool gaggle' -- w/ right to exclude reporters, after berating smaller pool this morning.

Partial list of orgs invited 2 limited access Spicer briefing: Breitbart, FOX, WashTimes, WSJ, CBS, NBC, ABC, Bberg. AP invited but declined
The Associated Press and TIME boycotted the gaggle due to these outlets being banned.
