Defending Trump And A CNN Fact Check

Image result for huckabee sandersWhile hosting a rally performance in the Great State of Mississippi, Trump offered up a mega dose in unpresidential speech making.  The backdrop of his performance is noteworthy for a number of reasons: pud applause as him maligned and mocked Dr. Ford, Mississippi fact cats and dolls standing behind 45, as a noticeable absence of Trump's "Blacks Love Trump" black guy.

The arena was classic GOP from the heart of the GOP Red State territory.  And Trump performed lie a stand-up comedian and bully while under the guise of local support for a women GOP politician. Watch as Trump thrills his sycophant audience.

Watch as one of the nation's most admired women defends Trump's bullying. Oh yes, according to Snopes dot com, a survey regarding the Most Admired somehow absorbed, Huckabee Sanders. And that speaks to the pitiful state of the United States. A person who lies for a living (and highly paid for the craft of lying) is considered by a large group of fellow Americans as Most Admired.
Now watch CNN's Anderson Cooper fact check the Huckabee's remarks and Trump's attack on Dr. Ford.
Trump will get his "get out of jail card" Kavanaugh on the SCOTUS. He will, via the confirming votes for the GOP and Democrats whoa re by name only Democrats, also have placed an alleged drunk and sexual assaulter on the Court.

But, do you think the nation cares?  We can rest assured the nation's conservatives are happy with the Kavanuagh proceedings.

Pepe The Frog And Hand Signaling: Manifestations From White Supremacist

Image result for ok signal memeFor well over one year, we have avoided or only scantily mentioned the neo-subliminal hand messaging form the nations social underbelly. As the past three weeks have passed into the millennium, we can not avoid touching on another example of growing racism and Anti-Semitism in the US.

Related image

I have heard there is a campaign of denial regarding a (new) white supremacists hand signal which accompanies the adoption of Pepe the Frog (Pepe The Frog via The LA Times) as subliminal declarations of what amounts to social terrorism.

Yes, I have seen images of former President Obama flashing what has long been considered the OK sign. The OK sign has also been flourished by some on the Right who seek to either hide, disguise or feign naivety regarding the recent social messaging signal. A signal employed, for the most part, adults who subscribe to an inner core of Caucasianism and Anti-Semiticism trumps (excuse the convenient pun). Alas, we witnessed the overt use of the sign during Trump's SCOTUS Nominee hearing.

The very unusual juxtaposition of the fingers on the woman's right hand seemed particular curious Especially after she apparently received a text message from someone.

After a weekend of reporting regarding the woman's hand positions. we witnessed and even more obvious flash of the sign. Linked here. Of course, the woman's husband declared the first signaling as a non-issue based on the reality his wife is part Jewish and Mexican. The Hearing witness aide's ethnicity make-up means absolutely nothing once we consider it regarding conservative  America.

Well, that settles that, doesn't it? Before you allow the previous sentence to affrimatively ring around in your mind, think about a current member of the Court and his legacy in US history. Clarence Thomas and his over-the-top disdain for all Supreme Court matters regarding African-Americans.

If you are thinking as this post as a bit greasy "nothingburger", take a look at the nation's number one so-called "Alt-right" leader and public figure.  Please recall "alt-right is a self-anointed label from Spencer.  How better to cloak white supremacy if the wearing of white robes and hoods is out of vogue and a relic of our past.

The sign has been associated with white-nationalist figures like Richard Spencer (pictured), who made the sign on the steps of the Trump International Hotel on election night

Notice the location of Spencer's formal salute to his movement.

During the recent Hurricane Florence threat to North and South Carolina, we find another bold representative of growing US white supremacy. Linked.  NBC News

Let's close with a few peeps at Twitter posts regarding an underbelly reality manifesting in the United States.

SCOTUS: Gives Trump A Travel Ban Path

NOTE: CBS video has an auto-start. Consider scrolling down to the video and enacting pause until you are ready to view and listen.

We will devote minuscule space and time to another example of the seriously regressive state of US Courts in the hands of a president who has an undeniable lean towards authoritarianism or a hybrid form of totalitarianism.

While I have little knowledge of the various iterations of Trump initial band, I understand that previous rulings against a blanket ban were modified. Modified to include Venezuela and North Korea. Now that Trump is schmoozing with Kim Jong Un, I wonder how he will modify the ruling when Kim or Putin voice objection.

The conservative Court strikes again.

It is important to note throughout history court systems in totalitarian states (or the national government cousin of the totalitarian state: authoritarianism.) are either non-existent or the courts are cosigning judicial bodies for the whims of the leader.

One has to wonder how the Trump inner circle will actually administer the ban.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: No SCOTUS Vote If the NRA Doesn't Approve

Republican leadership is not only performing full-court obstruction against the 44th President of the United States of America, they are performing in-your-face political money-grabs against the full scope of the nation.

See if you depict any mention of the American public, as you watch and listen to 51 seconds of Mitch McConnell working on behalf of moneyed constituents and within the realm of protection regarding Citizens United contributions. According to a recent Gallup poll a majority of polled Americans favor a Garland confirmation.

McConnell's Sickening Obstruction

Of course, you didn;t find mention of the voting pulbic.

Las December Reverb Press posted a piece that sums up the reason for GOP leadership unconstitutional obstruction against President Obama's SCOTUS nominee to replace Scalia.

The image just below is without a legend to facilitate easy discernment of the message.  If you visit the Reverb Press post below, you will find all information you need to get a bulls-eye shot of American Republicanism.

The NRA Gave These 9 Senators Over $22 Million To Vote Down Gun Laws (CHART)

The NRA and their bought-and-paid-for Senators have blood on their hands. How can not one, but three gun bills fail to pass after two horrific mass shootings in just one week? How can our GOP-run congress remain so cruelly indifferent to our grief and outrage? Since Adam Lanza gunned down 20 first graders, six teachers, and…

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Scalia's Death A Murder?

Supreme Court Justice Scalia dies of natural causes on a (nobody paid) expenses  vacation sponsored by the owner of a ranch who reportedly received a favorable decline to hear a case decision from the SCOTUS has ignited infernos of Right wing conspiracy demagoguery.

The Washington Post ran a 1:50-minute segment regarding Scalia's death and its ruling as a natural death.

Before additional reference to the Washington Post piece, how about a dose of Right wing nutjobbery icing laden with what I call "marketing paranoia." Marketing Paranoia simply put is the act of promulgating pure garbage tin-hat oratory to facilitate feeding sycophant listeners and viewers.

On Saturday night, after the announcement of Scalia's death, far-right radio host Alex Jones turned to Facebook to post an "emergency transmission." A Facebook "emergency transmission" ahs to be tantamount to a Soylent Green mega-phone exhortation. The video is 17 plus minutes long, and I do not encourage that level sensory exposure to Jones.  I skipped through the video.

The insanity of it all!

Truenews End Times radio host, Rick Wiles, took the death of Scalia to an even more shameful level: Obama killed Scalia as a "pagan sacrifice!"

The Daily Beast summed it up best.  Their piece on truthers run amuck is both point on and "full stop."

After observing the rash of far-right demagoguery and utter insanity, the details of Scalia's death is emerging. Beyond his natural causes death, we are reading via The Washington Post, Scalia was on a "who paid" expenses sojourn to a Texas ranch. The trip was apparently funded facilitated by a wealthy Texan, John B. Poindexter, who may have not long ago benefited for the Court's declining to hear a case involving his manufacturing company. Poindexter admits that Scalia did not pay for the trip, but claims he (Poindexter) Also did not pay for the trip: "Scalia was a guest."

We have read reports in the past of Scalia, Thomas accepting all-expense paid sojourns, so nothing new there. Of course, their excursions seem to violate the basic Canons of Judiciary ethics .  If the nation fails to uphold violations of the Ethics Canons, we should as a minimum stand tall against insane assertions from the Right regarding Obama's complicity in Scalia's death.

These same Tin-Hat preachers send copious amounts of air-time railing about Obama as a weak president. Wouldn't it take more than a nefarious character to involve in a plot to assassinate a Court Justice. Certainly a person too weak to enact fanciful wars overseas wouldn't embark of such a mission. Of course, not; the real shame of these demagogues is their total disregard from their audiences. How is it possible to separate their oratory from that of Hitler's lying Minister of Communications, Joseph Goebbels?

As was the case with Goebbels, successful oratory is only possible with acceptance from audiences that want to hear what the demagogue preachers.

The shame of it all!

Campaign 2016: Jeb Bush Continues To Stumble (Iraq War?)

The war in Iraq....

Jeb Bush has to address a linger horror of US politics and poor choices perpetrated by his brother, George W. Bush The Iraq War.

Jeb is no different than the rest of us as experience the existential reality of life after the 2000 election. An election handed to George Dubya, via Jeb, a Republican state Attorney General (Katherine Harris) and a SCOTUS stacked to the rim with conservatives from the early 1980s throughout he turn of the century.

Will we ever outlive or live-down the horrible vestiges of eight years of Bush/Cheney? The question is rhetorical, the answer is "no."

Bush continues to bode poorly inn the shadow of the 2003 invasion, after a May 2015 major stumble regarding his thoughts on "What we know now ...looking back on the Iraqi War" and the "I miss heard the question" response to pubic flak regarding his initial answer.

Jeb Bush hardly is miss heard the question. The younger Bush succumbed to his real need to uphold the family banner via non-indicting comments about his brothers horrific misjudgment and related INTEL subterfuge. The weak presidential candidate spoke from his heart without pre-thought or strategy for handling a question he should have anticipated. Any journalist without specific preparation regarding potential for Iraq War question.  Did the Bush camp feel the safe confines of Fox News would come with such a question? A major SNAFU and a mistake from an inept campaign team and shifty candidate.

The Dubya legacy offered his younger brother the first major campaign landmine and the young Bush stepped on the hidden combustible as if sporting four legs and feet.

After his "I misheard" remarks, where does the meandering candidate go from what we know now?  He stumbled directly into a potentially more egregious remark via his comments about US over-funding of women's health issues.  A nuclear fusion landmine that will haunt the candidate until his campaign ends.

Wouldn't you know, as surely as the sun rises and sets on a 24 hour cycle, the younger Bush would make another unfathomable campaign blunder. His comments regarding Iraq with sole focus on President Obama and former, early this week, foray into Iraq.

The nation has come to know the GOP as a party that embodies the essence of conservative America. One characteristic of US conservatism is forgetfulness or strategic avoidance of sensitive issues that date back as recently as six months. Everything with the GOP is yesterday, today and a conservative future.

Jeb Bush's campaign hopes cannot include talk of the US Economy, Trade, Deficit Spending, or actual social issues. What does a candidate do when his/her bag of campaign rhetoric runs shy of full and varied issues. They grab one or two issues and do the best they can to garner attention. What grabs attentions? The Middle East, ISIS, ad for the GOP abortion. Bush chose to speak about Iraq as integral to US foreign policy and an area the GOP as decided is an Obama vulnerability. Bush in Simi Valley, California spoke talk of Iraq.

The choice was a logical choice for the GOP as we consider the following from US New and World Report. Issues critical to the US electorate are polled as much as our television viewing preferences. The following graphics show how issues impact and influence the US electorate and how those issues ebb and flow (2016 back through 2014).

Now take a look at a US News and Word Report for the 2014 election cycle ad the 2015 ff year.

A graphic showing the most important problem for the United States.

We are certain of two things. The two surveys while four years apart represent results from separate sets of respondents. Another is the enhanced reality of ISIS, failures of the Iraqi government ,and the conservative perception of Obama's lack of interest attacking Syria (weak). Since the US Government and the US Economy continue to top the list of concerns, the GOP as no attention garnering option beyond "Terror" (National Security). Without doubt a critical issue, but a one horse show issue and a precarious show/issue at that.

Why Bush would address the conservative Simi Valley crowd with Iraq as a key issue is understandable. However, when the younger Bush is forced to avoid any reference to his older brother, it seems he is forced to adopt that common GP practice of selective offense while with a deflated ball. There is nothing like dissecting an issue without consideration of the genesis of the issue. Bush's Simi Valley address highlights the fallacy of Jeb Bush as a candidate for the Oval Office.

If his brother wallowed in the business of grudge perpetration, ideological crusading that manifest in the invasion of Iraq, Bush is seriously flawed as a prospect for the GOP nomination. Since, National Security (terrorism) rules the campaign pantry of the GOP, Jeb Bush cannot visit the pantry.

The facts regarding Bush "Dubya" and Iraq are irresistible and unable to cover via "Poor INTEL."

We recently ran across a recent post from The Daily Kos that also places Jeb's Iraq war reticence and his "I now nothing" strategy regarding his brother's invasion.

Daily Kos No Jeb premature withdrawal wasn't the fatal error in Iraq Invading in the first place was....

I predict Jeb Bush will fall out of the GOP Primary contention before the spring of 2016. He will have become just another George W. Bush American casualty.

TPI Morning Gazette: Non Progressive News, Michelle Obama, Schumer, GOP Elitism, SCOTUS

Non-Progressive News...

The swinging public sentiment of the SCOTUS.
Between 2014 and 2015, Democratic support for the Supreme Court surged to 76 percent. Meanwhile, GOP approval sunk to 18 percent.
Posted by Talking Points Memo on Thursday, July 16, 2015
As the Court ruled contrary to Right wing opinion and policy on slam-dunk judicial advocacy cases, conservative satisfaction the Court has waned, while progressive sentiment has sky rocketed. As the Court ruled on Citizen's United voting rights and stop and seizure cases favorably for the Right we never once heard the phrase "judicial activist" from conservatives.

2014 30 second clip of Citizens United "bragging" about the impact of their court cases on issues of today: linked.

June 2015 Jeb Bush bemoaning SCOTUS ruling on ObamaCare: linked video.

The New Republic captured and posted reactions to Same Sex Marriage ruling: linked.

My perception of the Court: Strongly conservative with five "locked-in" conservative Justices on cases that involve civil rights (eg. voting rights, etc). From another perspective, and a perspective that has far reaching impact on the courts legacy, two of the five stalwart conservative Justice often become very open minded follow majority opinion.

With two recent case rulings the Court has gangrened significant progressive support as indicted in the Gallup polling.  But, we await decisions in the next Court session that will certainly swing pubic sentiment back to the Right.  One such case is the Texas college student affirmative action case: Fisher v. University of Texas. The case is a slam-dunk win for the Right.

Elitsim and "Your GOP."

Your GOP and its Confederate Flag Army. No, the GOP does not claim the protest revelers, but rest assured these people do not vote progressive.

The interactive map looks similar to a map of GOP voting bloc states. Color legend in upper left of graphic and interactive data with holdover of each balloon.

A question has a resin related to the waving of the Confederate Flag against the nation's president. Oklahoma was not a Confederate State during the Civil War.  The question, "Why the flag waving in the state?"  The answer is simple and straight forward: "racism."

The next piece only lends to a full post. It is a classic an irrefutable exhibition of over-the-top racism.

CNN, CNN what is going wrong among your production teams? And, were are your getting this talking heads?

If You Only News

The First Lady of the United States is a beautiful, educated woman who deserved our respect and has earned our admiration. For more than six years she has been a positive role model for women, particularly minorities, and championed the fight against childhood obesity.

To the right-wing extremist, she is a drain on the economy, forces kids to eat beets and drink soy milk, and needs to keep her mouth shut “except when she’s trying to rein in” her husband.

The latest hatefest comes from the most misogynist page on Facebook, Stop Hillary in 2016. A meme posted there and the plethora of stupidity in the comments illustrates just what kind of imbeciles the GOP depends on to keep their base alive:

Michelle Obama is by no means a small woman, but anyone, male or female, would have to agree that if you have enough pictures taken of you you’re bound to find a few that are unflattering. This hate page specializes in just that, and while they tend to focus mostly on Hillary Clinton, every once in a while they can’t help but rile up their fan base full of morons to show enormous disrespect for the President’s wife.

This “issue” stems from Mrs. Obama’s school lunch initiative.  The informationally-challenged GOP base has taken it upon themselves to decide that the initiative to help our kids make healthier decisions was somehow mandated by the First Lady in a new “First Lady Order” system where First Ladies have the authority to enact or change federal law.

The law was, in fact, passed by Congress, not Michelle Obama, though she did work with nutritionists and school cafeteria managers to help mold the original bill.

That doesn’t matter to conservatives, who care about nothing other than hating her because she’s outspoken, driven, female, and of course, black.

The ignorance of the comments is absolutely astounding:

The President recently said in a speech that he wants Michelle to have equal pay.  What he meant, of course, is that he wants women to be paid as much as men.  That quickly turned into a gaggle of goofballs thinking Michelle Obama was going to be paid to be First Lady.

This is exactly the kind of stupidity the GOP loves.  She has said out loud that she hates white people?  I think we’d all love a link to where that happened, and no, a link to a Rush Limbaugh quote isn’t the same thing.

A Republican’s idea of what a First Lady should be is simple: Silent, always smiling, and white.  Michelle Obama would have done much better with these a-holes had she put on a Nancy Reagan mask the day her husband was elected and never taken it off.

Apparently the constitution has been amended to require that those exercising freedom of speech be elected to something.
The fat jokes are almost to be expected, even though she’s in no way fat, but every once in a while you come across a particularly dimwitted simpleton who posts something like “she’s smuggling illegals.”

It’s a true SMDH moment.

Here’s the best one; There’s one in every crowd:
He’s an independent who in a single comment spews no less than half of the right-wing nutjob conspiracy garbage propagandized by idiotic pages like Stop Hillary 2016 and Fox News.

If independents were truly that clueless we’d all be screwed.

All images and comments are public posts on the Facebook page Stop Hillary in 2016 |  Featured Image: Michelle Obama on Facebook

That was your conservative America with cloaked racism galore.

We on the Left find much more pride in a true depiction of the FLOTUS.

S.E. CUPP Looses Her Emotions

When the reality of bigotry and dehumanizing ideology strikes home to a millennial new mouth piece, true emotion can follow.

As long as S.E. CUPP was banking away dollars at Fox News, her posit was often overlooked as inane, but she offered valued viewing and ratings potential.

Nice tatoo!

Outside of the facilitating confines of Fox News with dedication right-wing production teams, the conservative talking head shows a different face and set of emotions. Cupp's tearing up in the following CNN segment is indicative of the futility, crassness and utter insensitivity of conservative and GOP ideology (and policy).

Cupp perofred wella s a rfgithiwng tlaking head wwhen the topic was minorities rights, civil rights, the US economy, Obama as "weak" and all that emanates for the GOP. But, when the SCOUTS legalized same sex marriage in all 50 states, CUPP conservative paradigm was shakened with effusive emotion.

SCOTUS ACA Vote Sheds More Negative Light On GOP Anti-ACA Strategy

SCOTUS vote to uphold tax credits for ObamaCare  enrollees: 6-3 to uphold!

CNN Image
In March of this year, the Congressional Budget Office estimated a repeal of the Affordable Care Act would result in a $210 billion to the deficit.  John Boehner and his House of Representatives know the CBO estimate and filed the data away behind a wall labelled "winning elections."

In 2012, Marketplace Dot Org estimated the cost of House of Representative votes. Marketplace came up with a figure of $2 million each day for a session of Congressional voting.

About our math: We calculated the cost of a vote by totallilng the annual salary of 435 House members. Then we added that to the total amount of annual allocations each House office receives. Finally, we divided that by 366 days in 2012 to determine the total cost per day. Click here to check our math (link may not work properly).
A CBS Miami affiliate posted the following in May 2013. The CBS affiliate estimates House cost per vote at $1.4 million per vote.
May 16, 2013 - The Congressional Research Service said it costs $24 million to run the House for a week, so the first 33 votes cost taxpayers approximately $48 million. The numbers translate to approximately $1.45 million per vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act in the House of Representatives.
As of February 2015, the GOP Tea Party infested House voted 56 times on a 'message vote regarding ObamaCare. "Message vote?" The John Boehner House with all GOP elected representatives knew their votes would never pass the US Senate. Yet, they persisted for sake of sending a message about their disdain for the Affordable Care act. I also feel they worked to send message to their major anti-ObamaCare constituents: Uber wealthy Wichita oligarchs, the Koch brothers their Million-Dollar Donors Club supporters.

The math is clear. The House frivolously expended (56 X $1.4 million) = $78.4 million on messages to conservative America.

Despite reliable and verifiable data mentioned above John Boehner took to the microphone and uttered as follows.

 House Speaker John Boehner

"The president's health care law is hurting our economy by driving up health costs and making it harder for small businesses to hire. Today's ruling underscores the urgency of repealing this harmful law in its entirety."

 Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell

"Today's decision makes one thing clear: Congress must act to repeal this misguided law. Obamacare has not only limited choices and increased health care costs for American families, it has made it harder for American businesses to hire."

CNN SCOTUS at a glance
Despite the fact 16 million healthcare enrollees have opted to enroll int he aca, despite the fact millions of pre 26 years of age derive medical benefits via their family coverage and despite the fact seniors derived pharmacy ad donut hod relief via the ACA, the GOP charges on with effort to repeal.

Today we are actually watching the destruction of a party for sake of 'message.' We are hearing what amounts to electoral threats of "full repeal" with a GOP win of their White House in 2016. GOP leaders know as well as any sane American a full repeal of the law will induce all aforementioned personal and budget horrors, they charge on.  Is there any real value in continuing to message uber wealthy oligarchs for campaign contributions?

We await a credible fact check of Boehner's claims of economic personal and corporate doom with the proliferation of ObamaCare.
