Daily Kos Repost (GOP Spine?)

The following is a post from the Daily Kos.

We have avoided modifying the post outside of the removal of various links that are not germane to sharing the piece. If you wish to view those links, click the article title.

Republican senators crying for the Kurds are the enablers who made it happen

Marco Rubio (R-FL)(right) at Senor Lopez Restaurant August 13th, 2018 in Detroit, Michigan. Republican US Senators are spending this morning crying for the Kurds.. or, if not that, at least the US Troops who were put in danger.

Recent decisions by the administration regarding Syria are a strategic error and further diminish the character of our great nation.

As Turkish backed fighters approach a Kurdish held city in :
-700 supporters escaped
-Erdogans forces are filming themselves beheading Kurds - U.S. troops are at serious risk of being cut off & of coming under attack by enemy fighters.

Republican senators who watch the catastrophe happen now bemoan it. They knew what they were getting with Trump. Every. Single. One of them. It wasn’t just that their constituents were telling them, everyone with common sense could see it. Still, their constituents showed up to town halls, to their offices, and everywhere possible to let them know Trump was an unstable baffoon who would lead us to disaster.

For Republican senators though, the quest for power itself was all that mattered. If Donald J. Trump could reset the US Courts to undermine abortion, gay rights, and the rights of unions to organize, then who cares about the global catastrophes being caused.

The Guardian has a great article about the damage being done.
“This attack wll spill the blood of thousands of innocent civilians because our border areas are overcrowded.”
The impact of the invasion on local communities is likely to send tens of thousands of people towards the Iraqi border, officials in Iraqi Kurdistan said. “We’re very worried about it,” one official said. “Of course we’d need to take care of them.”
Between Ras al-Ayn, and the town of Ain Issa – which was also bombed by Turkish jets – a local driver said the number of new exiles had started to grow by the evening, adding: “There are groups fleeing using whatever they find. People are scared of the artillery hitting hear the town.”
Republican senators waking up today and wringing your hands? You might try washing. I think I spot a touch of blood.

A Day In The LiIfe Of A Trump Stooge Operative: Kushner

Image may contain: text

So much for Trump in Britan... Let's move to the promised stooge.

Jared Kushner on the 2016 Trump Tower meeting.

There is much more. I have linked the Axios on HBO piece below the following segment.

You will witness in the segment is called nepotism cronyism and indifference to the maximum.  We have a Trump relative via marriage completely ignore answering a basic question to avoid angering his impetuous and childish father-in-law.

Axios's Jonathan Swan sat with Jared Kushner for what eventually came across as not only a waste of good airtime and a show segment, it appeared to validate the inner core psyche of those who serve Trump.

While we don't expect any different from Trump's inner circle of sycophants, advisers, politicians and his distant hordes of supporters, we are amazed at the extent Kushner was unable (unwilling) to even adequately respond to Swan.

Did Kushner himself come up with an answer regarding the Russian meeting or was he handed a script? He certainly seemed to have practice a script as scripts from Trump's White House are more often than not outside the realm of logic. Not only does Trump's team have an inability to tape into a presentation with attention to logic, but Kushner's answer to the Russian meeting question is also an insult to anyone with an ability to hear and assimilate rational information or to discern and eliminate the utter irrational. He couldn't even come to say inappropriate contact from adversary nations to members of election teams should be reported to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

But, of course, he couldn't respond in the affirmative. Kushner nor any of the participants in the now historic meeting contacted the Justice Department regarding their willingness to meet with Russian for Hillary Clinton dirt.

Trump Incoherence (No Hand Makeup)

The following is a TheDaily Kos post and has been posted just as is posted ont he Kos page.

Incoherent Donald Trump repeatedly babbled about the 'oranges of the Mueller investigation'

Speaking to reporters in the White House today, Donald Trump made several statements that were not only bizarre, they were downright incoherent. Take for instance, this moment when he was talking about the Mueller investigation. Listen as he repeatedly uses the word “oranges” instead of “origins” while talking about the Mueller investigation. He does correctly, albeit partially use the word “origin” in one instance, but he’s clearly struggling with the word.
Take a listen.

Wow -- Trump repeatedly mangles the word "origins," on three separate occasions saying "oranges" instead. 😳

That wasn’t the only eyebrow raising part of the appearance. Here are a few other lowlights. Here he discusses his father, who he says was born in Germany. His father, Fred Trump, was born in the United States.

Trump just said "my father is German, was German. Born in a very wonderful place in Germany." Fred Trump was born in New York.

TRUMP threatens to close border with Mexico as soon as this weekend, then rants about immigration during Oval Office meeting with NATO secretary general: "What we have to do is Congress has to meet quickly & make a deal... to be honest with you, we have to get rid of judges."

In the two clips below, you can hear Donald Trump accuse three Central American countries of “arranging” the migrant caravans to the United States.
And in the final clip, Donald Trump touted his top secret healthcare plan. The one he’s been promising since he began campaigning in 2015. It’s so secret we’ll probably never see it. Like Donald Trump’s tax returns.

Trump accuses the governments of Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador of "arranging" migrant caravans.

"They don't put their best people in these caravans," Trump says. "We're not going to have them in the United States."

TRUMP on his new, as-of-yet-unspecified health care plan: "We're going to have a phenomenal health care... we will be showing you at the appropriate time. It's much better than Obamacare."
