As Trump's World Turns: Trump, CPAC, And The Song Remains The Same

In February 2018, Trump peppered his sycophant CPAC audience with a dose of celebrity very much outside the realm of reality when one considers a US President. "bald spot moment."

Yes, believe it.

After a year of Trump TV via the White House and an accumulation of an additional 5,000 lies and at least four major cabinets "resignations (or terminations), Trump again took the stage at the annual conservative oozfest.  Let's take a few peeps at his tow hour plus performance.

Since I interjected Trump Administration departures, here is a link to a February 28, 2019, New York Times piece about the unprecedented number of positions vacated under Trump.  In 2018, the sings of a sick organization manifest with these departures: CBS.

Now for a glimpse at CPAC.  (Brief digression:  To the person (visitor) who visits the page and leaves comments exhorting more writing vs. making my point via video and images. When I consider Trump and CPAC, I'd rather take a seat in front of my freezer, open the door and watch experience the joy of watch water freeze to ice. If you know your physics, my seat and viewing would be a major waste as ice freezing with an open door is impossible. Nonetheless a far more productive undertaking than sitting or even 30 minutes of Trump at CPAC.)

Trump speaking at CPAC...  No words

How embarrassing and shameful to see an adult and the nation's top elected official stoop to such silly antics. Check out the image below.

President Donald Trump hugs the American flag as he arrives to speak at Conservative Political Action Conference, CPAC 2019, in Oxon Hill, Md., Saturday, March 2, 2019. (AP Photo/Jose Luis Magana)

The Atlantic best captured the CPAC cesspool and Trump's clown show. The AtlanticThe 7 Most Bewildering Moments From Trump’s CPAC Speech

How about a US president who spends a moderate amount of his 122-minute performance insulting a former Attorney General he used to prop-up his early campaign. Then Senator Jeff Sessions was the first member of Congress to offer copious support for Trump.

Please excuse the profanity. Credible and respectful US Presidents don't come to a podium and sprinkle profane language throughout their message.

North Korea?  After this regarding Otto Wambier's comatose return to the US  and his death...

...Trump goes here at CPAC.

Of course, there was much more but I abide by my longstanding policy of only scant comments about CPAC.

Without understanding how VOX could keep Trump's most bizarre CPAC moments to seven, the piece is worth a quick read.

The AP also ran a piece about the veracity of Trump's visit to the 2019 oozfest.

Let's close with these.

It is so easy to dupe the uninformed who have allowed themselves to fall into deep sycophancy.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: When A President Should Shut Up

A few days ago we published this piece:

The piece has a genesis in personal observation of the very visible portrait of former US President Andrew Jackson hanging visibly near Trump's desk.

It seems the nation's 45th President continues to sit for interviews without realizing his signaling his deep-rooted bigotry and racism, is harmful to the nation. He may tickle the innards of the nation's overt and closeted white nationalist, but he also signals a regressive personality to non supporters and people across the globe. Trump's early morning interview led to comment about Andrew Jackson. (Newser) (Mediaite Sirus audio).

President Trump: "Why was there the Civil War? Why could that one not have been worked out?"
— CNN (@CNN) May 1, 2017

View image on Twitter

Here's Trump's full answer on "swashbuckler" Andrew Jackson and the Civil War: "Why could that one not have been worked out?"

Long story short, Andrew Jackson was a murderous slave owner and perpetrator of genocide against Native Original People North Americans.

While the Internet is full of varied scribes and articles about the causes of the US Civil War, we offer a very abbreviated piece which seems to capture the essence of what we learned about the war.

Wonder if Trump (and Bannon) are not aware Jackson died 16 years before the Civil War? Rest assured Bannon knows Jackson was a slave owner. Of course, there wouldn't have been a Civil War if Jackson was the US President.

Donald Trump is a dangerous person.

Quinnipiac Survey: Poll Majority Trust Media Over Trump

He attacks the media, yet he is fortunate the media has not yet focused on his total commitment to pursuits of leisure Vs the job of the Oval Office.

The fake news media is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the people"

Well, actually CNN Media is reporting on a Quinnipiac survey with results not so favorable for the NYC bloviator (Who now occupies the White House).

Quinnipiac's survey found that 52% of voters trust the media more than they trust Trump, while only 37% said they trusted Trump more. Among Democrats, 86% said they trusted the media more than the president.
But among Republican voters, the balance is flipped: 78% said they trusted Trump more than the media, while just 13% said they trusted the media more.

AOL News also reported on Trump's Vs. the media regarding trust and believability.

Of course, Trump and his cadre will not criticize Fox News.  Wonder why?

It works!

TPI Gazette: Roger Ailes, Donald Trump And Conservative Hatred

The is so much "ugly" going-on in conservative American, we simply must post-up a gazette. You choose your mustard from an increasingly sour part of American.

Roger Ailes out at Fox. Didn't you ever wonder why so many women on the network employee liberal leg and thigh policies? One has to wonder if Ailes will ever (out of spite) reveal which of his leggy displays "played the game."  I suspect he wouldn't go there until the woman (or women) start to adorn "I didn't do it" or "Didn't Do Roger" buttons on live TV.

Trump Quick Hits!

Ninety-one percent lies....That is pathological to say the very least.

Tuesday night's Republican 'hatred and oozfest was supposed to be about jobs.  Well......

A man of little class.

More Trump uber wealthy servant loving lack of class and insensitivity.

If You Only News
But while the unctuous evil spawn was pretending to give a flying f*ck about ordinary working class people, his true colors came out in a tweet that has since gone viral.

Now there’s the entitled, spoiled brat we all knew Trump Jr. to be. The mask has come off and boy is he ugly on the inside.
Like his father, Trump Jr. seems to have very little interest in helping anyone else but himself. He found out his gardener missed his own sister’s wedding to work on his property and he couldn’t help but be smug about it. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Now the Trump family is trying to convince America that their history of self-serving behavior will be good for America? Don’t count on it.

Now this is big!  Could Trump's phantom speech writer have committed an illegal campaign act?

As is frequently the case, we end the Gazette with a touch of icing.  If you fail to see a changing conservative America, book a time capsule and visit Munich Germany 1929.

Ron Paul Revisits Proven Dog Whistle For An Audience Of Secessionists

Your daily does of GOP racism!

Deep rooted and ingrained via American heroes

Am I writing about John Wayne? "No" I am going to walk through some panted Ron Paul racism.

Is there any wonder we continue to experience overt racist from noted white nationalist celebrities like Ron Paul?  Paul exposed:

Bob Cesca's The Daily Banter (excerpt below)
Ron Paul said:
“I was always annoyed with it in Congress because we had an anti-war unofficial group, a few libertarian Republicans and generally the Black Caucus and others did not—they are really against war because they want all of that money to go to food stamps for people here.”

A quick look at data from 2010 an 2013:
The Atlantic
AddictingInfo February 15, 2015
Of course, we realize the Black Caucus has district constituents who are no African-American (or "black" if that is your preference). We also know such open thinking was not at the core of Paul's comments. The data above was the last thought and concer of racist dog and facilitating dog whistles.

In the 1990s, Ron Paul is alleged to have penned a vile newsletter that was over-the-top a cesspool of racist enticements for readers who soaked-up the garbage like the largest landfill across America.

January 2012, Wendy Gittleson, Addictinginfo published a piece that included excerpts from Paul's Newsletter. It is important to keep in mind the items your about to read are a minuet representation of the body of work.

“If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be.” – Ron Paul, 1992
“Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the `criminal justice system,’ I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal.” – Ron Paul, 1992
“We don’t think a child of 13 should be held responsible as a man of 23. That’s true for most people, but black males age 13 who have been raised on the streets and who have joined criminal gangs are as big, strong, tough, scary and culpable as any adult and should be treated as such.” – Ron Paul, 1992
“What else do we need to know about the political establishment than that it refuses to discuss the crimes that terrify Americans on grounds that doing so is racist? Why isn’t that true of complex embezzling, which is 100 percent white and Asian?” – Ron Paul, 1992
Paul’s campaign doesn’t deny the existence of the newsletters, just his involvement. As it turns out, Paul might not have written the newsletters but according to Hathway, he did read them and in fact, he proofread them. From the Washington Post:
“It was his newsletter, and it was under his name, so he always got to see the final product. .?.?. He would proof it,’’ said Renae Hathway, a former secretary in Paul’s company and a supporter of the Texas congressman.
The Post also reports that:
It is unclear precisely how much money Paul made from his newsletters, but during the years he was publishing them, he reduced his debts and substantially increased his net worth, according to his congressional and presidential disclosure reports. In 1984, he reported debt of up to $765,000, most of which was gone by 1995, when he reported a net worth of up to $3.3 million. Last year, he reported a net worth up to $5.2 million.
They quoted an anonymous source within Paul’s organization:
A person involved in Paul’s businesses, who spoke on condition of anonymity to avoid criticizing a former employer, said Paul and his associates decided in the late 1980s to try to increase sales by making the newsletters more provocative. They discussed adding controversial material, including racial statements, to help the business, the person said.
“It was playing on a growing racial tension, economic tension, fear of government,’’ said the person, who supports Paul’s economic policies but is not backing him for president. “I’m not saying Ron believed this stuff. It was good copy. Ron Paul is a shrewd businessman.’’
Regardless motive, strategy, intent or potential financial gain, Paul and his published guttural racist passages in the newsletter. While we will not expend keyboard time on Paul's cohorting and snuggling with white supremacists, it is a social reality.  If it quacks like a duck, if it walks like a duck.......

Rod Paul with Don Black (and son Derek) at 2007 Values Voters Conference.  White supremacists at the Values Voters Conference?

Don Black was once the Grand Dragon of the KKK The meme wording reads as Derek Black was the Grand Dragon......a writers sentence structure slippage.  It should be noted Derek Black has repudiated the white supremacist ideology and gone very pubic with his repudiation.

I digress for sake of clarity and fairness, let's stick with the racist meandering of Ron Paul.

Bob Cesca, his week, published a piece regarding Paul's continued wallowing in overt racism.

Following Pro-Secession Remarks, Ron Paul Says the Black Caucus Was Only Anti-War Because Food Stamps

Last week, Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) announced to a group of right-wing secession fetishists that secession and nullification is “happening” and that it’s a “good thing.” Naturally, the crowd of rednecks and neo-Confederates hooted and hollered at the announcement, though it’s unclear which states are seceding and when.

Not for nothing, but the last time secession occurred, more than 625,000 Americans were killed — roughly two percent of the entire U.S. population, if you include the southern states. In modern numbers, that’d be roughly six million corpses.

This is a “good thing” to Ron Paul.
Now couple this with his remarks today on the equally-as-kooky Lew Rockwell show. While discussing sanctions in the Middle East and ISIS, Ron Paul said:
“I was always annoyed with it in Congress because we had an anti-war unofficial group, a few libertarian Republicans and generally the Black Caucus and others did not—they are really against war because they want all of that money to go to food stamps for people here.”

Right, so the congressional Black Caucus is only anti-war because of food stamps.

Read more at The Daily Banter

Cesca's point is "spot-on". The Black Caucus, anti-war, and food stamps as a collec point of a speech could only emanate from for the mind of a demagogue delivering a message with a focus on disparaging a target group.  In this case, Paul "went" racist with a group of secessionists.

Reflections On Caution About The First Iraq War

Reflections on an issue of national importance.

REUTERS/Chris Helgren
As we relive circumstances resultant from George W. Bush's desire to perpetrate war against Saddam Hussein, we are again facing intervention into Iraq. A potential intervention that should only exist as a bad dream the minds of Americas. Yet, it is reality, it is ever-present, and it is a reverse nation killer.  We are about to follow the urging of people who literally love the prospect of war as if eagerly anticipating a Fourth of July fireworks show.

American jingoists from the Right and accommodating Democrats simply cannot seems to exorcise thirst for war form the US psyche. From wanton slaughter of First Nation Native North-Americans through relishing George W. Bush's Iraq "Mission Accomplished," we seem to seek opportunity for war like the neighborhood kid who is best at the game of marbles. The Dreaded Marble bully!

The war mongers have no regard for the reality of the Iraq War. In addition to a lose of international decency and GOP war policy that literally helped to rob the middle class of 80% of our wealth, we experienced other more tangible cost that were far to great a sacrifice.

Business Insider published a piece this morning with glaring delineation of the cost of Bush's war. Once you navigate to the piece via this link, you will notice Insider focused on direct cost of the war. as stated above, the piece doesn't reach into violation international law, the outing of a CIA Agent via Karl Dick Cheney;s stooge Scooter Libby, nor does the piece tell of damage to the US and world economies. Yet, the Insider piece is brilliant in its author's close. After reviewing a long and detailed list, the reader comes to this:

"0: Nuclear Weapons of Mass Destruction found (though a bunch of chems were discovered)"

As part of our credo to "Never forget the past as guard against reliving it," we think it important to visit with three relevant communication marks in Iraq War History. Critical marks as we contemplate potential for following jingoist back into Iraq.

Chris Matthews, MSNBC, Hardball

Illinois State Senator Barack Obama during the 2002 run-up to the US charge from Afghanistan to Iraq.

.......looking back and lessons learned from one who spoke out.
Obama's Speech Against The Iraq War

My grandfather signed up for a war the day after Pearl Harbor was bombed, fought in Patton's army. He saw the dead and dying across the fields of Europe; he heard the stories of fellow troops who first entered Auschwitz and Treblinka. He fought in the name of a larger freedom, part of that arsenal of democracy that triumphed over evil, and he did not fight in vain. I don't oppose all wars.
After Sept. 11, after witnessing the carnage and destruction, the dust and the tears, I supported this administration's pledge to hunt down and root out those who would slaughter innocents in the name of intolerance, and I would willingly take up arms myself to prevent such tragedy from happening again. I don't oppose all wars. And I know that in this crowd today, there is no shortage of patriots, or of patriotism. What I am opposed to is a dumb war. What I am opposed to is a rash war. What I am opposed to is the cynical attempt by Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz and other armchair, weekend warriors in this administration to shove their own ideological agendas down our throats, irrespective of the costs in lives lost and in hardships borne. What I am opposed to is the attempt by political hacks like Karl Rove to distract us from a rise in the uninsured, a rise in the poverty rate, a drop in the median income — to distract us from corporate scandals and a stock market that has just gone through the worst month since the Great Depression. That's what I'm opposed to. A dumb war. A rash war. A war based not on reason but on passion, not on principle but on politics. Now let me be clear — I suffer no illusions about Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal man. A ruthless man. A man who butchers his own people to secure his own power. He has repeatedly defied UN resolutions, thwarted UN inspection teams, developed chemical and biological weapons, and coveted nuclear capacity. He's a bad guy. The world, and the Iraqi people, would be better off without him.

But I also know that Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States or to his neighbors, that the Iraqi economy is in shambles, that the Iraqi military a fraction of its former strength, and that in concert with the international community he can be contained until, in the way of all petty dictators, he falls away into the dustbin of history. I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a U.S. occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences. I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaida. I am not opposed to all wars. I'm opposed to dumb wars.

So for those of us who seek a more just and secure world for our children, let us send a clear message to the president today. You want a fight, President Bush? Let's finish the fight with bin Laden and al-Qaida, through effective, coordinated intelligence, and a shutting down of the financial networks that support terrorism, and a homeland security program that involves more than color-coded warnings. You want a fight, President Bush?

Let's fight to make sure that the U.N. inspectors can do their work, and that we vigorously enforce a non-proliferation treaty, and that former enemies and current allies like Russia safeguard and ultimately eliminate their stores of nuclear material, and that nations like Pakistan and India never use the terrible weapons already in their possession, and that the arms merchants in our own country stop feeding the countless wars that rage across the globe. You want a fight, President Bush?

Let's fight to make sure our so-called allies in the Middle East, the Saudis and the Egyptians, stop oppressing their own people, and suppressing dissent, and tolerating corruption and inequality, and mismanaging their economies so that their youth grow up without education, without prospects, without hope, the ready recruits of terrorist cells. You want a fight, President Bush? Let's fight to wean ourselves off Middle East oil, through an energy policy that doesn't simply serve the interests of Exxon and Mobil.

Those are the battles that we need to fight. Those are the battles that we willingly join. The battles against ignorance and intolerance. Corruption and greed. Poverty and despair. The consequences of war are dire, the sacrifices immeasurable. We may have occasion in our lifetime to once again rise up in defense of our freedom, and pay the wages of war. But we ought not — we will not — travel down that hellish path blindly. Nor should we allow those who would march off and pay the ultimate sacrifice, who would prove the full measure of devotion with their blood, to make such an awful sacrifice in vain.

As the nation succumbed to Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/ Rice/Tenet and Powell WMD subterfuge, Fox News broadcast a less than 2:00 minute segment with a guest who has come to be a friend of The Progressive Influence and Facebook Friend; Walter FieldsCEO and Executive Editor NorthStar News.

America should be careful about those who long for war.

Deviate Image Circulates Via Right-wing Deviates

We ordinarily avoid the most disgusting exhibitions of Right-wing derangement, but there are times when one just has to speak out.

Randa Morris of Addictinginfo published a piece we are going to share.  We realize once published it is impossible prevent viewing by people who are very young, but as we thought about the images, we came to that point of "Well, maybe our young should see the extent to which SOME conservative Americans will stoop to malign." If they will share behind the scenes images to attack the 44th President of the United States, what will they do to attack you and me?

If you have visited The Progressive Influence from time to time you have seen the disparaging Obama/ape images. You have seen the Confederate Flag waved proudly in front the White House; occupied by an African-American.  You never saw such actions as long as the White House was occupied by a white president (a person of conferred privilege). Without a doubt you have, like me, observed not one word of contempt from the GOP, right-wing media and from right-wing pundits if employed by other than MSNBC. Silence and failing to confront tyranny enables and has been proven as a serious human foible throughout the history of mankind .

Attacks on women, public schools, public employees, unions, auto workers, non-Christians, veterans the elderly minority voters, and the impoverished leads to one conclusion.  They will eventually come for you!

We remind!

Martin Niemöller (1892-1984) was a prominent Protestant pastor who emerged as an outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in concentration camps.
Niemöller is perhaps best remembered for the quotation:
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

New Level Of Sick; Right Wing Nut Job Photo-Shops President’s Hand In His Daughter’s Pants

AUTHOR:  DECEMBER 3, 2013 3:49 AM
Photo-shopped picture falsely portrays Obama as child molester.
A right-wing sicko posts a photo-shopped picture that looks like Obama’s molesting his daughter, and it goes viral. Is there nothing these people won’t do? From the Libtards facebook page.
Right wing degenerates are circulating a badly photo-shopped picture of President Obama with his daughter, Sasha. Even if nothing up until now did, this photo suggests that there is no level to which right wing hatemongers will not stoop, in order to to smear the president.

The photo-shopped picture supposedly shows the president molesting his daughter, Sasha.

A right wing fanatic who goes by the name of Dixon Diaz, claims to have taken a photo of the president with his hand down the front of his daughter Sasha’s pants. Diaz is circulating photo-shopped picture on facebook, twitter and other social media sites, claiming that it is real.
In spite of a slew of complaints in regards to the photo-shopped picture, including many from his own followers, Diaz continues to defend the image as “not faked.” In an effort to show his fellow right wing fanatics that the picture is “not faked” Diaz posted these two images side by side. On the left is the photo-shopped picture that Diaz claims to have taken, on the right is actual photo.

It’s not hard to tell the picture is a fake.

Even a casual glance at the two images, shown side by side, makes it easy to tell that Diaz’s photo is a fake. While I hate to even bother wasting time on debunking this absurdity, Diaz claims that the second photo was taken just “seconds before or after” the original. If that were true, then Sasha Obama is growing at a rate faster than any child in history. Her one arm alone would have gained several inches, in a matter of seconds. Her legs (from waist to knees at the bottom of the photo-shopped picture) appear to have grown even longer, even faster.
Diaz tries to explain the difference in Sasha’s height by suggesting that “maybe she went down a step.” The only problem is that if you measure Sasha’s legs, arms and midsection, these areas completely change in proportion, from one image to the next. President Obama’s arm also becomes miraculously longer in Diaz’s photo-shopped picture. So does his tie… The easiest way to tell that the image has been doctored, without even measuring the key points, is just to note how much the photo-shopped picture blurs in certain areas, especially around Sasha.

Not even Diaz’s followers believe the photo-shopped picture is real.

Not even the cultist followers of Diaz’s “Libtards” blog and facebook page took this photo-shopped picture for anything but a fake. That leaves me to wonder why he still has followers at all. He says that he took this photo himself, yet he makes no claims as to where or when it was taken. Then there’s the fact that the image shows Sasha as a girl much younger than she is today. Yet, there’s no explanation as to why Diaz is just now posting the image online, apparently years after it was taken. Since even Diaz’s supporters have called this photo-shopped picture out as a fake, it seems like they would catch on to the fact that Diaz is nothing but a scam artist. Why keep reading his blog and following his page, once you know that?

It’s hard to imagine how the right wing can stoop any lower than this.

Is this photo-shopped picture a whole new low for right wing fanatics? They’ve accused the president of everything from being a terrorist to having a gay lover. They’ve plastered racist photos calling for the assassination of the president on social media outlets and have created an entire film festival of lower than low videos for youtube. After the past 5 years of hate-mongering, there are very few “new lows” left for them to stoop to. Yet, by photo-shopping a picture of the president with his hand down his daughter’s pants, they found one.
It seems hard to imagine how the right wing could stoop any lower than this photo-shopped picture of President Obama and Sasha. Maybe they’ve actually made it all the way down to the bottom wrung this time, leaving themselves nowhere to go from here, but up. I doubt it. But we can always hope.
