Trump's Oval Office Hobnob With Russian International Operatives

Do you recall this?

Paul Ryan speaking on behalf of Trump against Clinton as the GOP successfully deployed "do not Trust Hillary" strategy.

" I get great briefings, isn't that great?"

After the visit, we have a few matters to consider. First, Trump and company claimed they were duped and Russia's TASS news released images without Trump's approval What the hell did Trump and company think would happen with these photos? Did they feel TASS would only conduct a private Putin oozfest about his top US spy hobnobbing with the gullible Trump? Or, is Trump and company lying about being duped.
What came next was no surprise. The White House denies shared classified INTEL.
Your social vote  for Trump, your third party vote or your non-vote in 2016 is bringing our house down.

Putin oozfest about his top US spy hobnobbing with the gullible Trump. Or, is Trump and company lying about being duped? After all which transpired with Trump's consorting with an adversarial nation via hosting top emissaries (one a known Russian spy), wouldn't you expect more to the story?

The BBC
MSNBC also reported ob the Washington Post article.

Trump again stumbles, his White House and cabinet circles the wagons, broadcast and social media come alive...and we are certain Putin is loving it. His money stooge is paying dividends.

A White House Message To Fox (News)

Last night's State of the Union ( SOTU) Speech was one of a kind marvelous.  I will comment on the SOTU tomorrow or the next day.

The following is a fitting end to a great day in US history ad US politics. The White House sends Fox News a message that I suspect they did not feel Fox would reveal.

The message is point-on and indicative of a White House with a presidential denizen who will not run for office again.

Apropos!

President Obama Does Not Stand Still

Yes, we will share against the perception the Obama Administration will just sit back and ride the tide through the next few years.

It is truly sad the GOP governors will not cooperate with the past push for a continental rapid transit system.

The White House, Washington

A few weeks ago, I shared with you that President Obama would declare 2014 a year of action, acting where he can to build an economy that ensures opportunity for all Americans. And he's already taken steps to achieve that goal in the areas of education and skills, job creation, energy, and raising the minimum wage.

I wanted you to be the first to know about new actions the President will take this week to keep that progress going.

This week, the President will announce new action on manufacturing, infrastructure, and transportation jobs, and a new initiative to ensure everyone who is willing to work hard has a shot at success.

On Monday, President Obama will meet with governors from across the country. On Tuesday, he'll announce the winners of two manufacturing institutes. On Wednesday, he'll launch a new competition encouraging new investments to restore our crumbling infrastructure. On Thursday, he'll unveil a new initiative with the private sector to make sure every young man of color who is willing to work hard and lift himself up has an opportunity to succeed. Here's where the President has already made progress in 2014 to make sure we keep moving forward.
Thanks for getting the word out,

December 7th 1941, Pearl Harbor Day

photo and caption credit - Franklin D. Roosevelt Library Public Domain Photographs
The dying USS Arizona with 2,000 plus sailors also dying

We must never forget!

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." - George Santayana

"Those that fail to learn from history, are doomed to repeat it"        - Winston Churchill

I recall visiting the Pearl Harbor USS Arizona Memorial quite a few years ago.  Two points from the visit stand emblazoned in my mind..never to be erased.  Fist, watching drips of oil rise the surface form the sunken Arizona then 60 plus years later was a phenomenal experience. The oil never stops .....drip, drip, drip and leaks to the surface  and, it has continued now for 70 years.

Second,  a not so known fact. Elvis Presley gave benefit concerts in Hawaii While filming the Movie 'Blue Hawaii". Once he learned there was no memorial and the US government would not foot the cost, he stepped-up. I think it safe to say Elvis is responsible for the memorial.

Presidential Proclamation -- National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, 2012

NATIONAL PEARL HARBOR REMEMBRANCE DAY, 2012
BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
On December 7, 1941, our Nation suffered one of the most devastating attacks ever to befall the American people. In less than 2 hours, the bombs that rained on Pearl Harbor robbed thousands of men, women, and children of their lives; in little more than a day, our country was thrust into the greatest conflict the world had ever known. We mark this anniversary by honoring the patriots who perished more than seven decades ago, extending our thoughts and prayers to the loved ones they left behind, and showing our gratitude to a generation of service members who carried our Nation through some of the 20th century's darkest moments.

In his address to the Congress, President Franklin D. Roosevelt affirmed that "with confidence in our Armed Forces -- with the unbounding determination of our people -- we will gain the inevitable triumph." Millions stood up and shipped out to meet that call to service, fighting heroically on Europe's distant shores and pressing island by island across the Pacific. Millions more carried out the fight in factories and shipyards here at home, building the arsenal of democracy that propelled America to the victory President Roosevelt foresaw. On every front, we faced down impossible odds -- and out of the ashes of conflict, America rose more prepared than ever to meet the challenges of the day, sure that there was no trial we could not overcome.

Today, we pay solemn tribute to America's sons and daughters who made the ultimate sacrifice at Oahu. As we do, let us also reaffirm that their legacy will always burn bright -- whether in the memory of those who knew them, the spirit of service that guides our men and women in uniform today, or the heart of the country they kept strong and free.

The Congress, by Public Law 103-308, as amended, has designated December 7 of each year as "National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day."

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim December 7, 2012, as National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. I encourage all Americans to observe this solemn day of remembrance and to honor our military, past and present, with appropriate ceremonies and activities. I urge all Federal agencies and interested organizations, groups, and individuals to fly the flag of the United States at half-staff this December 7 in honor of those American patriots who died as a result of their service at Pearl Harbor.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this sixth day of December, in the year of our Lord two thousand twelve, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-seventh.

BARACK OBAMA

About Dot Com
In honor of the 70th anniversary we offer four features about Pearl Harbor:

We look at the early history of Pearl Harbor and how the area became home to the United States Pacific Fleet in the years just prior to World War II.

We look at the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 and its aftermath in the Territory of Hawaii. We then examine why we must remember what happened on December 7, 1941.

A collection of historical photos taken immediately prior to, during and after the Japanese air attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on Sunday, December 7, 1941 as well as a number of historical photos documenting the salvage efforts which followed the raid.

Hurricane Isaac and Administration Preparation

Famous Post Katrina Fly-Over!
That was boring!

Jeb Bush said President Obama should stopping blaming things on his brothers.

Well, Jeb, your brother performed as the absolute worse president in United States History with maybe one exception for former President Harding.  He left office with the lowest approval rating in modern history (Only to be surpassed by Dick Cheney) and rightfully so. Mishandling of votes in your states (as former Governor), placed your brother in the office.  Your brother 'jobbed' the nation from day one. Eventually he moved to hiding war debt on other budgets. He cut benefits for vets to fund two wars. He laid a ridiculous il-advised (unfunded) Medicare change on our elderly, and while pushing throw taxes policy more beneficial to the nation's wealthy.

Jeb Bush, like many in the nation, chooses to forget the extent of an economic 'grave' his brother dug for the nation.  He wants to push the past away as if it is some forgotten time that Obama should have been able to completely obliterate within three (3) years. The Bush "grave" was so deep, people started to shovel dirt over the mortally wounded United States.  Jeb Bush should thank President Obama and his administration for stopping the 'shoveling' and allowing just enough sunlight across the land to ward-off an economic depression. A depression his brother clearly started and attempted to disavow for 12 months (Decemebr 2007 - December 2008).

The list of 'fault' for Jeb Bush's brother is as long as Louisana's Lake Pontchartrain is wide.  As I speak of Lake Pontchatrain, I reflect back on Jeb Bush's brothers handling of pre-Katrina warnings. George W. Bush received warnings from his hand-picked, crony placed, "Brownie" as the New Orleans regional FEMA director.  Bush ignored "Brownie's" warnings from pre-hurricane underdeveloped levees through belated ignoring 'doing the right thing' via cancelling a vacation just before the storm. Thus, his famous fly-over a few days after the levee's broke.

Republican whack job attempts to get into the White House

Joe The Plumber
You asked for it Joe. You gave them mantra...they live by mantra.

During the 2008 election a few notable 'ugly' American manifestations comparable to horror movies came from the GOP. First, was the completely 'ignorant' decision to have Sarah Palin on the ticket as a VP Candidate. I will add, typical poor GOP decisions-making is exacerbated by the fact that John McCain was at least 72 years of age during the campaign. Thus, he would be approaching his late to mid 70's right about now and he would do so with a 'chopping at the bit' loon in "seat number two".

The Second GOP carnival-like phenomena was the inimitable Samuel Wurzelbacher, Joe the Plunger, I mean Joe the Plumber, (the non-plumber and father of the Fox News and GOP 'Obama socialist" mantra, decided he would usurp all policies, and rules by 'bull-rushing' the White House.

Huffington Post - POLITICS filed the following report this afternoon.
