Rand Paul Staffers Continue To Amaze!

There are people in the nation who actually think Rand Paul is "cool."
"Hey, the man traipse around in his blue jeans sport coat attire sporting RayBan Sunglasses as if he just stepped off the cover of GQ Magazine."
"He is a Libertarian; he will be the third coming of Cheech and Chong via legalizing Marijuana!"
"Name another candidate who's father espoused legalizing heroin."
Is there another GOP candidate who throws around the word "liberty" as much as Paul?  (As long as you are not a black person who wants to enjoy the legal right for private business owners to serve you in their establishments or unless you are a black person and enjoy the forced segregation of facilities based on race.)
"He is loose with his rhetoric and cannot be pushed into an oratory corner."  (Misinformation is his defense and chest shield while also serving as a tool to impart a false reality or situation.  In other words he is a serial liar and major opportunist. Watch as he tells a group of Medical students about his affinity to "misinformation."
If you are a bigot or racist, you know deep down the DNA that manifest as young Paul was raised to adulthood.
Make no mistake the blue jean adorned Rand Paul is not cool; he is in fact zany, disingenuous and frankly shifty.  He also attracts characters who frequently exhibit behavior quite outside the scope of normal human (adult) behavior.

Exhibit One

Jack Hunter ( Former staffer) Jack Hunter, who is Paul's director of new media and credited writer with the senator on the 2011 book The Tea Party Goes to Washington, has called himself the "Southern Avenger" since 1999 and has expressed support for the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln, according to the Washington Free Beacon, a conservative online news site.
During better times with family
Exhibit Two

All said it is important to remember, the people who intimately work to win General Elections end-up in critical posts in the White House. If that isn't frightening enough in the case of Rand Paul, think about past elections.
Imagine this.....
And Nicole Wallace incessant bickering with Sarah Palin.
Replete with John Sunnunu and the Etch-A-Sketch man and a cast of real characters.
Now think about Rand Paul and his camera licking party official New Hampshire serving the nation at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Celebrate Lincoln's Assassination?

As is the case with President Obama, hatred of Abe Lincoln persist among the nation's more regressive, opportunist and intellectually deprived denizens.

Believe it or not the nation has a group of Confederate revisionists who remind of groups endemic in the GOP. A group who will never find safe harbor in progressive and liberal America. Before reading about a group who espouses celebration of Lincoln's assassination, follow a quick set of reports on how such groups are feed by money grabbing demagogues.

Former Rand Paul communications director: The Southern Avenger.

The Charleston City Paper

While a member of the City Paper’s stable of freelancers, Jack wrote in support of racially profiling Hispanics, praised white supremacist Sam Francis, blasted the House of Representative’s apology for slavery, claimed that black people should apologize to white people for high crime rates, defended former Atlanta Braves pitcher and racist John Rockerand Charleston County School District board member Nancy Cook after she said some mothers should be sterilized, argued that Islam was aninnately dangerous threat to the U.S, professed that he would have voted for a member a British neo-Nazi political party if he could have, considered endorsing former Council of Conservative Citizens memberBuddy Witherspoon in his bid to unseat Sen. Lindsey Graham, compared Abraham Lincoln to Adolf Hitler and Ike Turner, and continued to profess the erroneous claim that the primary cause of the Civil War was not thefight over slavery, ignoring the decades of American history leading up to war and South Carolina’s very own Declaration of the Immediate Causes for Secession, which clearly note that protecting slavery was the preeminent motivation of state leaders.

As for that persona he created for his writing and radio personality, that’s a character called “the Southern Avenger.” And while the site for The Southern Avenger still exists, purportedly, as of last year, its star no longer dons Confederate flag masks to make his points. From The Washington Free Beacon:
From 1999 to 2012, Hunter was a South Carolina radio shock jock known as the “Southern Avenger.” He has weighed in on issues such as racial pride and Hispanic immigration, and stated his support for the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.
During public appearances, Hunter often wore a mask on which was printed a Confederate flag.
Prior to his radio career, while in his 20s, Hunter was a chairman in the League of the South, which advocates the secession and subsequent independence of the Southern States from this forced union and the formation of a Southern republic.”
“The League of the South is an implicitly racist group in that the idealized version of the South that they promote is one which, to use their ideology, is dominated by ‘Anglo-Celtic’ culture, which is their code word for ‘white’,” said Mark Pitcavage, the director of investigative research at the ADL. The ADL said it does not necessarily classify it as a hate group.
The Avenger has moved on post the Paul campaign, and today is on a reclamation project with reflection of contempt for his past antics. He is often quiate as stating: "I am not a racist, I just played on on the radio."

I am posit, he speaks as many Right-wing Demagogues live. They spew vile obscene messages to people who have psyches 'salted' with racial hatred from birth to full adulthood. If you need an example Crooks & Liars offers a look at the fields of racists and bigots who soak it all in and move their sycophancy to action.

Neo-Confederate Group Plans Celebration Of Lincoln Assassination

I'm really glad there's no more racism to worry about in the United States, aren't you? Because now we don't have to worry about people like this: Warren Throckmorton notes, just today announced that on April 14 it will host a celebration of the anniversary of the "execution of the tyrant Abraham Lincoln."League of the South…

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Rand Paul And (BORROWING) Speeches [VIDEO]

When people live disingenuous lives, they often do little harm to others. They are their own worse enemy and they often lose battles with themselves. Yet, once the person becomes a politician, the person's dis-ingenuity takes on an affect of a very different being.

While I will not use idiotic and fairly tales to describe the revelations about Rand Paul, the tea party politician is showing increasing levels of weirdness, zaniness, and outright manipulation.  All lead to a politician who is on a mission (the US Presidency), and who is willing to completely opportunistically mask himself.  We will ignore his ill advised speech at Howard University,  we will pass on comment about his finger in the nose talk, and we won't go back three years to his rambling and inane comments on the Maddow Show.  Our reference is much more recent, and a very much phony. Phony with a purpose  and reminds of Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde.

Paul is now on the defensive regarding his very obvious plucking verbiage from Wikipedida to assist in building a speech.  Rachel Maddow again broadcast a segment on Paul and his latest conversion to Mr. Hyde.

Maybe Kentucky Senator Paul is suffering form his separation from his long time spokesperson: The Southern Avenger!

What a sad state of affairs.

UPDATE:  A little icing for this Paul cake....

Rachel Maddow says Rand Paul's 'Gattaca' speech 'was totally ripped off of Wikipedia'

There’s no love lost between Rachel Maddow and Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.
The MSNBC host for years has criticized the rising Republican star and libertarian during her evening talk show. So when Maddow went on a rant about a recent stump speech Paul gave on behalf of Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli, at first it seemed like business as usual.
During remarks Oct. 28 at Liberty University, Paul ventured into a diatribe against eugenics -- a sensitive topic in Virginia, where until 1979 it was legal to sterilize the mentally disabled -- when he brought up the 1997 sci-fi thriller Gattaca, starring Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman and Jude Law.
It’s at that point Maddow said he got into trouble, claiming Paul’s comments about the movie were "totally ripped off of Wikipedia."
