Marip Piperni And The GOP End To Racism!

Re-blog from Mario Piperni Dot Com.

Rosa Parks, Racism and The Modern GOP

Rosa Parks -

Glad to see the RNC being called out on their idiotic Rosa Parks tweet for their suggestion that racism has ended.

03-12-2013 3-54-33 PM

Oh, okay.

Nothing to be shocked or surprised at here. It’s business as usual for a political party whose very existence is based on being able to attract America’s entire lot of racists and bigots. As was clear during the Trayvon Martin uproar, the GOP operates on the premise that racism is a thing of the past…or, at the very least, this is what they’d like their mindless sheep to believe is true. If there’s no racism to speak of in America, then every bigoted racist move they pull (e.g. voter ID laws that target black Americans, Confederate flags at Tea Party rallies, birtherism…) can’t be racism, can it now? Pure bullshit, of course, as Ron Rosenbaum explains in a 2012 Slate piece.

I’m not saying all Republicans are racist. I’m saying that as a party, ever since Goldwater and Nixon concocted the benighted, openly racist “Southern Strategy” in the ’60s, the Republican Party has profited from overt and covert racism.
The Southern Strategy was designed to capitalize on Southern white resentment of court-enforced busing to end school desegregation, of the 1964 Civil Rights Act’s prohibition of discrimination in interstate commerce, of enforcement of the 1965 Voting Rights Act to prevent historically racist Southern counties and states from discriminating against blacks who sought to exercise their right to vote where once they’d been effectively barred. By playing on these issues, Nixon and other Republicans of this era won many traditionally Democratic votes in the South. Later, GOP opposition to affirmative action, race-based hiring “quotas” and all other methods of compensating for the debilitating legacy of slavery, Jim Crow and segregation fed into what was one of the momentous shifts, a total turnaround in just more than a decade (1970 to 1984) from a solidly Democratic South to a solidly Republican one.
Which is how the RNC tweet like the one above came to be.
The first truth is that this staffer, whoever it was, in all likelihood made this slip for a reason. She or he has been schooled to believe that racism did end, and that all present-day discussion of the problem is just whining from society’s takers. We might call this a central tenet of the right, although the word tenet dignifies it too much. It’s more like a fact-free conviction, held by people who are never capable of imagining walking a hundred yards, let alone a mile, in another person’s shoes.
Whoever this tweeter was, s/he has been hearing the refrain since the day s/he got into the game. Yes, there was racism, and it was wrong. But racism, she’d have been tutored to believe, was a Democratic problem (check that; a Democrat problem, her tutors would undoubtedly have said). She’d have heard all about how it was really Republican Sen. Everett Dirksen who passed the civil-rights bill (which is like saying the Serbs defeated the Nazis—they were on the right side, but they hardly carried the heavy artillery). She’d have been instructed to repeat “Party of Lincoln!” at the necessary intervals, and she’d have been coached in the phony, euphemistic language that Republicans use to acknowledge certain past sins but to press forward, sunnily noting that all of that is “behind us.”
[...] It’s amazing that it’s been six decades since Rosa Parks did what she did, and there hasn’t been one prominent national Republican leader who has said simply: “We were wrong. We, the white people of the South, the evangelicals, George Wallace’s famous beauticians and firemen, the beating heart of today’s GOP—we were wrong.” I’d like to see that tweet come out of the RNC, but I’m not holding my breath.
You want something else not to hold your breath hoping it’ll ever happen?
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Bob Dylan said:
This country is just too fucked up about color. … People at each other’s throats because they are of a different color. It’s the height of insanity, and it will hold any nation back—or any neighborhood back. … It’s a country founded on the backs of slaves. … If slavery had been given up in a more peaceful way, America would be far ahead today.
Yes: “A country founded on the backs of slaves.” And a party cravenly unashamed to base its existence on the backs of slaveholder states. Journalists, start telling the truth about the GOP.

The Rosa Parks and bus diagram images are works of the U.S. federal government and therefore in the public domain.

Richard Cohen: Bigot, Racist Or Poor Writer? [We can assume he is not a poor writer!]

I have read images such as those posted below are offensive to one nationally know writer.

Michael Murray and Alyson West with their daughter, Alexandra. The Atlanta couple has created the popular Tumblr, in response to the hate stemming from a recent Cheerios ad.
Jenn and Meadow of New York City.Gabriel, Dana and Beth of Atlanta. Richard, Kieran and Kamakshi of Rockville, Md.
The original Cheerios commercial that sparked a string of racist backlash for featuring an interracial couple with a biracial child.

Seriously, did you see anything about the images and video above that would make you "gag?"

Allow a bit of sarcastic reality.

The developers of the Cheerios commercial should be commended, the General Mills Vice President who refused to take-down the commercial once it hit media markets and took flak, should receive accolades.  You should know the innocent and carefully crafted 30 spot was developed to avoid any just about all opportunity to come across as offensive even to the nation's bigots and racist.

Of specific note, the black male is comfortable in another room well away from his white wife. There is no bedroom scene, no shred partial nudity, no touching (even innocent touching), certainly no kissing or even an embrace! Ah, the creativity from the highly compensated ad agency. Yes, we are aware the commercial was developed to depict family life, so some of my points above were actually flip (but relevant overall). Cheerios did not evade the ultimate American taboo for some Americans by avoiding the interracial family with white/black parents. A couple of well known companies (one surface coating products and one insurance company) developed interracial couples with the black female/Asian male coupling. Those commercials received no noticeable angst among the nations racists. Cheerios (General Mills) caught hell from a moderate number of racist because they took their coupling to the more common (generally accepted) coupling of white/black interracial couples.

For some, race in America is more an issue than national security.

Apparently, one well published writer for the Washington Post finds the following image repulsive (my word). He even went beyond race in his fiery screed;  he attacked the newly elected New York mayor's wife!

We realize there are millions in the United States who would not hesitate to join Richard Cohen in his state of "gagging repulsion," but we wonder about his brash openness. Most racist (or the more intelligent racist) continue to mask their deprived social and psychological state. The majority of racists no longer use the Ante-Bellum/Jim Crow garb more commonly associated with overt racist. They lurk on the internet or they attend events generally reserved for conservatives or republicans. It is rarity to find a nationally known writer for a national publication come out of his closet, and he is doing it more frequently.

Cohen's remarks published in the Washington Post. Gawker's Hamilton Nolan.

Mr. Cohen's column today centers on the prospects that various Republican contenders for the 2016 presidential nomination may have in the Iowa caucus. Iowa, Cohen notes, is a conservative state, which may pose a challenge for Republicans perceived as moderate.
Then, out of nowhere, comes this paragraph, which we have bolded for ease of reading:
Today's GOP is not racist, as Harry Belafonte alleged about the tea party, but it is deeply troubled — about the expansion of government, about immigration, about secularism, about the mainstreaming of what used to be the avant-garde. People with conventional views must repress a gag reflex when considering the mayor-elect of New York — a white man married to a black woman and with two biracial children. (Should I mention that Bill de Blasio's wife, Chirlane McCray, used to be a lesbian?) This family represents the cultural changes that have enveloped parts — but not all — of America. To cultural conservatives, this doesn't look like their country at all.
I... I... think, perhaps, that even in the most generous of interpretations, that could have been... more clearly stated?

Cohen has verged on revealing a deep hatred of African-Americans in the past and very much equally public. The following is an excerpt from a Cohen article related to the murder of Trayvon Martin. Another shameful example of his twisted mind and keyboarding skills follows via Gawker:

Not every columnist would look at the death of an unarmed 17-year-old black kid, shot after he was racially profiled, as an occasion to write a column about how all black teenagers deserve to be racially profiled. But the Washington Post's Richard Cohen is a very special columnist. The killing of Trayvon Martin, Cohen writes, is
a quintessentially American tragedy — the death of a young man understandably suspected because he was black and tragically dead for the same reason.

I noticed while researching this piece, some writers refuse to label Cohen's acts as they are: unadulterated racism without questions. Let's define "racism" against the more commonly used (and softer) word: bigot.

 noun \ˈbi-gət\
: a person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, etc. : a bigoted person; especially : a person who hates or refuses to accept the members of a particular group (such as a racial or religious group)

 noun \ˈrā-ˌsi-zəm also -ˌshi-\
: poor treatment of or violence against people because
of their race
: the belief that some races of people are better than
Full Definition of RACISM
:  a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
:  racial prejudice or discrimination

Huffington Post's Ryan Grim and Katherine Fung published a piece earlier today reporting Cohen's aversion to being called a racist. The piece reads like a Cohen crafted satire. (Of course, Cohen does not write satire). He indicates he was speaking from a perspective of the Tea Party. Cohen made the assertion (or claim) and immediately indicated all Tea Partiers are not racist as some are black. Surely, Cohen has writing skills commensurate with use of writing constructs that could have avoided what he claims as some sort of metaphorical writing.

We have posted a short deck from the HuffPo piece. The full article almost reads like a Sarah Palin interview: convoluted, irrational and strikingly weak deflection. The authors of the piece performed admirably in reporting the utterances of a writer who I feel got caught hanging his robe and hood in the closet.

Huff Po
Richard Cohen says that his latest piece was not intended to be and shouldn't be read as racist.
"The word racist is truly hurtful," he told The Huffington Post on Tuesday. "It's not who I am. It's not who I ever was. It's just not fair. It's just not right."
The Washington Post columnist came under fire on Tuesday for writing that "people with conventional views must repress a gag reflex when considering the mayor-elect of New York — a white man married to a black woman and with two biracial children." He insisted that he was expressing the views of some people within the Tea Party and not his own.
"I didn't write one line, I wrote a column," Cohen said. "The column is about Tea Party extremism and I was not expressing my views, I was expressing the views of what I think some people in the Tea Party held."

Well, Cohen speaks! As I read the excerpt I could think of nothing beyond the posted words related the killing of Trayvon Martin. After thinking even more about his comments related to Martins killing, I do not wish to read his article. The Daily Beast published about Cohen's deflection, here.

While I remain committed to my belief that the nation's "It is OK to be a bigot" emanates from Kevin Phillips, Lee Atwater and Ronald Reagan, it is amazing the manifestation of overt racism since Barack Obama assumed the presidency.  I make no pretense to know Cohens ethni/relgious background, nor do I have insight into his DNA.  However, I have a suspicions. Of all writers he should be cognizant of the horrors of racism. He writes about the hurt in being called a racist. Well, I find Mr. Cohen is not very self-observant or personally reflective.

Laura Ingraham Out Paces Limbaugh With A Gunshot Audio Effect! Gun Shot!

Queen of the Right-wing demagogues plays gunshot sound over audio tape! A shooting sound!

OK, we are not into the daily ravings of right-wing talk radio. In fact, all AM radio hosted shows have converted to conservative dogma, as it sells.  Liberals and progressives plus "high information" Independents do not need daily doses of dogma filled hatred of the Obama Administration. When we have concerns we do not hesitate to air the concerns in forums known for a much higher use of cognitive process, backed with data and without over-the-top angst and Draconian exhibitions.   If you look close, you might find the AM radio demographics are perfect for GOP and conservative income streams (revenue and host contracts).  "High information" people get information from other sources and they do not have that 'clinging need' to reinforce horrid paradigms on a daily basis.

Horrid paradigms? As is the case with most Right-wing demagogues a good portion of their programs this week have been devoted to disparaging remarks about the 50th Anniversary March on Washington DC (over this past weekend.)

"Oh, do we have fodder for our sycophants on Monday."  Laura Ingraham was classic in delivery of her "red meat." She actually go out ahead of the king Right-wing demagogue: Limbaugh.

Ingraham not only took cheap shots at the gathering, she used march speaker topics for 'dog whistles' to her festering throngs.  It took her about one minute into the embedded video below to take the killing of Trayvon Martin to right-wing dogma about killings in the black community. She mentioned statistics. Statistics exist that show the murder rates are not much different from murder in white communities. Let's face the bottom-line issue. We interact within our own ethnic groups far more than other ethnic groups. If there are going to be murders, it will take place predominantly intra-ethnic group. "Black-on-black Crime!"

Twenty-three (23) seconds of pure truism on "black on black" from someone not of the black community: Tim Wise, diversity consultant, author, educator and "One who GETS IT."

The Ingraham Show.  The  following audio tape is eight (8) plus minutes long. I skipped through the Ingraham 'ditto head' remarks.  I have too much respect for my psyche, my grey matter and I have contempt for 'low information' people who rail about positions each day. The audio segment is eight minutes long. Can you imagine sitting listening to AM radio for the full run-time of shows like Limbaugh, Hannity, Ingraham, Savage, Beck and others? Ingraham's gunshot antics hit at approximately the 4:40 minute mark as Lewis's comments are cut short.

Now. for a bit of background as to how propagandist like Ingraham gather their sustenance as feed for their throngs of ravenous listeners.
The linked Politifacts piece is a bit long, but full of relevant information for people who consider themselves "high information."  We will not use any article text to save your reading time and space in this piece. You have to check out the Truth-O-Meter on this one.
The Truth-O-Meter Says:

"In the 513 days between Trayvon dying, and today’s verdict, 11,106 African-Americans have been murdered by other African-Americans."

A look at statistics on black-on-black murders

Linked article Read more after the coming break
We do not in any way challenging there is far too much killing in communities, the black community in particular. We take major exception to right-wing fear mongering and pro George Zimmermannism via use of flawed or skewered statistics.   If we are not a fully-integrated society, the relevance of the references to killings in the black community seem to accompany 'motive based messaging."
Your Black World Dot Net published a piece this morning that encapsulates the many aspects of the truth related to "Black on Black" Crime. Chenelle A. Jones, Ph.D., Ohio Dominican University, wrote the piece. (NOTE: We realize many have disdain for long reads, but 'high information" people will read such works on an intermittent basis until done. So, we take the risk of thoroughness and delving deep)
Article excerpts
Excerpt One. There is no question that crime within the Black community is an issue.  However, there is a need to discuss and deconstruct this notion of “Black-on-Black Crime”.  The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) notes that most crime is intra-racial.  Statistics show that 84% of White victims are killed by Whites and 93% of Black victims are killed by Blacks (BJS, 2011).
Excerpt Two. So to argue that the intra-racial phenomenon of crime victimization is unique to the Black community is to demonstrate an inaccurate assessment of historical and contemporary crime and victimization trends.  Furthermore, to acknowledge the existence of “Black-on-Black” crime without equally acknowledging the existence of “White-on-White” crime is to perpetuate a myth of inherent black criminality, and Blacks are not inherently criminal.
Excerpt Three. The final issue with the “Black-on-Black Crime” argument involves the disparate treatment of Black and White offenders in the criminal justice system.  Whites represent a majority of the American population and are responsible for 54% of murders involving an intimate partner, 59% of murders involving a family member, 55% of murders involving infants, 56% of murders involving elders, 54% of s*x related murders, 53% of gang related murders, 70% of workplace related murders, 55% of arson related murders, 80% of poison related murders, and 53% of murders involving multiple victims (BJS, 2011).  Blacks comprise 13% of the population and are responsible for 59% of felony murders, 65% of drug murders, 50% of murders involving an argument, 56% of gun homicides, and 54% of murders with multiple offenders (BJS, 2011).
We will not comment additionally about the Ingraham cheap shot for her listeners. The gunshot sound effect speaks volumes about the GOP and its propagandist. they know how to play to GOP supporters. Ingraham piece linked.

Right-wing Affinity For And Antagonism Regarding Race (VIDEO)

If you don't have a few spare minutes don't stay on this post. It is an important post with a few video segments to illustrate a few points. The right reacts to President Obama's press conference comments with typical drivel and sprinklings of racism.
"American Exceptionalism." Now, factor this person in with what you will see and hear should you view the racist demagogues in this piece.
Right-wing ideology leaders took the president's very calculated and civil discussion of the Trayvon Martin murdered and race in the United States as an invitation to speak.  President Obama conceded early in his press conference that there was little to nothing the Feds could do in filing Civil Rights charges against Martin's murderer, thus sending a message to the black community. He also gave the Right and conservative America a few bones to placate their increasing insatiable avidity regarding the black community.

The president went on to very calmly and civilly speak about life in America for some who are not white. He spoke specifically about the experience of just about all black males at one time or another in their lives.  His words were heartfelt, honest and to the point. I recall an episode in my life while serving in the US military all the black airmen in my squadron were called to a meeting. The squadron Captain told us we could not attend the squadron Christmas Party. Not one of us had been home to visit loved ones after basic training and celebration the holiday was written off for us. We were given the "Invisible Negro" treatment.

Obama also spoke about the need for more social work among African-Americans in the black community. He never once spoke about discrimination in hiring and promotion. He did not speak pay inequity for minority and women. He actually did not speak with specificity about black incarceration.  The Right will talk about incarceration from the standpoint that black perpetrate more crime. People who are learned, informed and unencumbered by bigotry and bias know that incarceration numbers also has to do with unfair judicial systems and judges who have biases against minorities.  The press conference address was fair and balanced while delivering messages to all segments of the public.

You have to know Right-wing ratings mongers could not allow such civility to transpire without feeding their 'blood thirsty" and very biased viewers.  Let's face facts, anyone who still listens to Limbaugh has to be a bigot as a minimum and probably a racist (at heart). His listener may also be inclined towards misogyny (hatred and abuse of women). If women viewers find his misogyny entertaining, they are factually misogynist in their worship of the demagogue. Existentially, the listener would have to possess the mindset of a "dittohead."

O'Reilly viewers (some probably also Limbaugh listeners) may possess inclination more towards that of the right-wing intellectual. Nonetheless ,O'Reilly delivers messages of racism equal to Limbaugh with a more on-air  anger laced demeanor and a few more multi-syllable words. His message is the very same.

Allow me to introduce a person who so reminds of Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's Third Reich Propaganda Minister. He reminds of the wretched demagogue who via his various media and dedication to Hitler's vile plans for minorities in Germany.  Bill O'Reilly's 7:41 minutes racist rant even came across as comparable to a Goebbels speech with far more anger and visual angst. Exhibit I.  In fact, Goebbels was less antagonistic and anger filled than O'Reilly's racist tirade.

The classic Circa 2013 racial rant replete with data that does not stand up to intelligent scrutiny. In fact, O'Reilly seemed to cherry pick rates to make his point.  According to The Bureau of Justice Statistics (through 2010), he seems to be accurate regarding black homicide rates, but he ignores the total body of criminal offenses from all races.

Take a few minutes and watch how MSNBC's Chris Hayes addressed O'Reilly's latest racial rate.

The Root published a piece on crime in the United States and the fallacy of O'Reilly's rant exposed. Demagogues and pundits on the Right love the term "Black on Black" crime. Tim Wise, Antiracist Essayist, Author and Educator, spoke eloquently to Melissa Harris-Perry about the business of white perception of the black community regarding crime. He also addressed the 'mantra' of black on black crime.

Last evening MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell's Rewrite was devoted to the Fox News racist as follows. O'Reilly Comment and the O'Donnell Rewrite:
"Trayvon Martin was killed because circumstances got out of control. He was scrutinized by a neighborhood watchman, George Zimmerman, because of the way he looked. Not necessarily his skin color, there is no evidence of that but because he was a stranger to Zimmerman and was dressed in clothing sometimes used by street criminals."

And, of course the Right has another even more guttural and vile demagogue who contributes equally to the nation's racial divide. Limbaugh mocks human bondage (slavery) as if a pre-Civil War plantation owner and Mississippi politician during the Lincoln Administration.

Both Limbaugh and O'Reilly chose to take position on the president's press conference remarks. The both chose to speak from a perspective of 'white privilege' with enough entertainment for their viewers leave the broadcast with a smile and a "That's Right."  Over the course of my life, I have never heard nor read the word slavery comparable to its use by the GOP and the naiton's conservatives.  They seem to ave a psychic affinity for the state of human bondage yet they use the word as a whipping stick. Both O'Reilly and Limbaugh thrive off refusal to accept America is not a fair and balanced society They chose to ignore factors that contribute to poverty and bias which impact lives and how people live their lives.

UPDATE: Woman Thanks God For Bullet That Killed Trayvon! (GRAPHIC IMAGES AND GRAPHIC LANGUAGE)

UPDATE linked at bottom of page.

What you will read below is no different than what you will see now!
Our image analogy relates more to the glee in the Twitter comments below, then the actual Zimmerman Trial. Although we firmly believe young Martin was killed for a reason and part of that reason was, "...because I can." Of course, we can see the glee in the crowd above; it is no different than the glee posted below.

We at the TPI did not publish regular reports on the Trayvon Martin murder case. We avoided such with preference for observation of the US and the State of Florida legal system. The Florida system, including incompetent prosecution, failed miserably. The US legal system has not come to closure as the suspended investigation into George Zimmerman as a murder of the young teen, might come back to the forefront.  I am not convinced the DOJ will take-on the case.  The DOJ can ill-afford to lose such a case.

The State of Florida has certainly shown its underbelly of "inequality" and has shown why many are now posting about the state as a place of hell.  Let's face it, the state gave us George W. Bush in 2000 (via his brother, a Republican Attorney General and a conservative SCOTUS). The state adopted "Stand Your Ground legislation as quickly as the ALEC backed laws were handed over to state representatives.  Jeb Bush (another Bush) signed the legislation, and the state has one of the most vile governors in the nation. It should be noted reports are the chief prosecutor from northern Florida, Ms Corey, is in fact a very politically savvy republican.

Maybe, just maybe, the political affiliations of the chief prosecutor contributed to the decision to avoid any mention of race during the trial. The defense certainly did not follow such protocol.  O'Mara use racial framing.... ".... been a rash of break-ins in the neighborhood, mostly by young black men." Zimmerman trial, defense closing arguments, Clip 1 Watch Video (almost ten minutes long but in part very relevant to my point).

The salient point is why would the prosecution simply ignore, ".... been a rash of break-ins in the neighborhood, mostly by young black men." as spoken during the closing.  Why not at least a perfunctory "objection", related to relevance? The comment was delivered as subliminal messaging  to lay the foundation for Zimmerman's accosting the teenager. The comment in no way should have been used as a foundation of suspicion for Trayvon Martin's walking home from the convenience store.  It is almost as ridiculous as, "all women should avoid all white males because the majority of serial rapist are white males."  Or, "all people should be extra cautious of all white males because white males make-up the preponderance of serial killers." Yet, the prosecution did not object to O'Mara's use of race as a foundation for what was to come.

As stated in the second link video below, the prosecution team lead (replete with a smiling and giggling demeanor), made a point to overtly state the case was not about race. Do you know any republicans who will admit that race is an ongoing issue in America?  They act as if racism ceased with the Emancipation Proclamation. Yet, the party has members who use race as a central fabric to their political ambitions  (e.g., Gingrich, Santorum, Paul(s), Allen West and numerous behind the scene email forwarders and jokers).   The lead prosecutor overtly stated the case was about profiling. Well, name forms of profiling that occur in the United States beyond racial profiling.

Now for some personal conjecture. The prospect of Corey's aversion to admitting the word 'race' may have permeated throughout the prosecution's case. Or, worse yet and "order" to avoid the word vs. a consensus decision. In either case, a shameful decision, quite frankly.

Allow me to share via Commercialized Hip HOP why so many see race at the root of the Martin murder,  and a major problem for millions across the nation.  In addition to all  non-911 call statements from Zimmerman, we know there is an active ebb and flow (national) undercurrent as shown below. While the following is hardcore and guttural, it is the tip of an iceberg that will one day slam up against resistance like a "Titanic of white privilege", and the slam will come with  major vengeance.

The most hateful and less intelligent will always use the most open and overt exhibitions. Think of the millions who agree with the people in the piece below, but dare not speak their minds openly. Then scroll back up and take another look at the victims imaged at the top of the piece. One victim is a woman!

The Young person below states she wants to thank God for the bullet that killed Trayvon Martin.  I suppose the low-life does not even now that according to Moses and his "top of the mountain" 10 Commandments...... (Number six).

Racism at Its Finest: Woman Thanks God For Bullet That Killed Trayvon

Sarah Taylor tweets that she thanks God for the bullet that killed Trayvon Martin..png
Sarah Taylor
Reported by: Ree
The Trayvon Martin case has shown the world one consistent message: Racism in America is alive and well. Aside from having photos of Trayvon’s lifeless body being mocked and meme’d, bigots have decided to take to Twitter to applaud Zimmerman for killing the unarmed, African-American teen. The comments, laced with the words “n*gger” and “thug,” spewed stereotypical rhetoric about Black men and violence. One of the most flabbergasting Twitter messages was tweeted by @Sarahtw33ts. Sarah Taylor, a Livonia, MI native and a barista at Biggby Coffee, tweeted: “I want to thank god…for that bullet that killed trayvon martin.”
Although Taylor was supported and cheered on by her friends for her bigot remarks, she did become heavily criticized by a handful of people. One man, @michaelatbu, tweeted Taylor’s place of employment. “@BIGGBYCOFFEE she calls herself an employee of yours @sarahtw33ts @YesYoureRacist,” he tweeted. When Taylor isn’t celebrating the death of an unarmed African-American teenager, she spends a wealth of time smoking marijuana. Her Instagram account is filled with photos of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Perhaps because the percentage of White women being racially profiled is virtually nonexistent, she has pride in promoting her love for the illegal drug on social media without fear of being harassed by police officers. Although Taylor’s Twitter account has been deleted since she tweeted her eerie message, her Instagram account ( is still visible and has pictures that matched her Twitter avatar.
Taylor was joined by a slew of other Twitter users who applauded George Zimmerman for killing a “N*gger” and being found not guilty.

The exhibition speaks for itself.

The Zimmerman case is the perfect storm of all that is wrong in our nation. The wrong include indifferent and very poor prosecution by state attorneys. I challenge any sane person to make a good case why a high school junior became a civil rights martyr at the hands of a 27 year old "wanna be cop with "one in the chamber" after stalking the young man like an animal? You may be thinking, "well, he would have no reason to follow my kids." If you went there you are mostly certainly not a black person.

The prosecution avoided matters of race and contributed greatly to losing a case that clearly showed Zimmerman was in the wrong from the minute he chose young Martin as a (suspect) victim. Once, he left his vehicle he set the stage for all that took place thereafter.

O'Mara and not charged if black

Prosecution disappointed

In many ways the attorney's for Zimmerman reminded of attorneys depicted in movies about the Jim Crow South. They worked according to their Canons of Professional Ethics and personal beliefs to free the perpetrators of people like those shown in the images above.  And, they were successful for the most part. They were successful without question until the US Government intervened in the late 1950s to mid 1960s. Lynchings became virtually extinct. Yet, we still have executions not in any way backed by law, with perpetrators walking free. In far too many cases the perpetrators are police officers.

"Racism in America is alive and well"
.....and promulgating.

And, I believe a good number of you vote right along with these people with each and every election. If the party on the right was not so willing and inclined to drive racial wedges through our social fabric, people such as those depicted above would remain in the shadows in deep shame.

UPDATE: The perpetrator of the heinous tweet was fired from a position to which she had not yet reported. LINKED
