Trump: Clear And Present Danger; GOP's Blind Eye

Image may contain: 1 person, suit and text

Congressman and House of Representatives minority leader Chuck Schumer spoke rationally about the Majority Party (Republican) acquiescence to Trump.
When a former top US INTEL leader and an INTEL expert says, "We have a problem", folks we have a problem.  Your vote may have elected the downfall of a once great nation. Yet, fissures are starting to show, albeit it not in the GOP.

Mediaite ran a series of Facebook posts on reaction to Trump for people in critical to serving as barometers of a true state of the nation.

We have posted two posts regarding CNN's early morning interview with former INTEL leader and expert Clapper.

There are others who are sounding the alarm on a president who in various ways is eroding our democracy while trampling on the US Constitution. former INTEL head Clapper has been for weeks appearing on news related shows with frank comments about what I call the Manchurian candidate: with the comb over.

Trump as a national threat

  Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) in conversation with NBC's Lester Holt;
Huffington Post
“Regardless of recommendation I was going to fire Comey,” Trump told NBC’s Lester Holt last week. “And in fact when I decided to just do it, I said to myself, I said you know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made up story, it’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should have won.”
Trump went on to tell Holt that the Russia investigation “should have been over with a long time ago” and that Comey’s continued focus on Russia showed “he’s the wrong man for that position” as FBI director.
Lee, however, insisted that Trump was not interfering with the investigation. “As far as I’m aware, he is fully cooperating,” Lee told Fox, adding that Trump wants the investigation to proceed “wherever the facts may lead.”
“He himself sounds confident it’s not going to lead anywhere,” Lee added. “Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe said under oath this week, ‘There’s been no effort to impede our investigation to date.’ I take him at his word.”
"....I take him at his word." (Politifact link)

"His word?"

Trump is a national threat, Despite recent polling show 85% support for Trump via GOP voters, we are finding slippage in his approval ratings. Slippage can and will lead to full out empty regarding Trump;s support from the majority of voters across the nation.  Let's spend a moment on slippage.

We are hearing and reading of Trump approval ratings hovering around 40 percent. Polling authority Nate Silver doesn't seem to agree Trump's ratings are even that high.
Trump is a charade facilitated by his skills in manipulation and lying along with full deployment of all skill sets of the nation's most prolific charlatan. His skills actually compliment the GOP.  He leads a party which obviously fears a backlash from its base while acquiescing to what can only be described as embarrassing, sickening and dangerous.

Polls, Polls, And More Polling Data

Image result for TRUMP

On A busy Sunday morning, there is little time to devote to promulgating information. We thought a set of Trump approval rating graphics would tide you over for a few hours.

Chuck Todd's, Meet The Press, and early morning Trump.

Trump low marks for first 100 days: NBC News/WSJ poll

While NBC is reporting on Trump as the worse president in modern times, we wouldn;t be fair if we did not mention Trump is doing very well in one category on the poll. It seems Americans love the dropping of bombs and explosive ordinance. Trump has a 62% approval rating among the respondent group when asked their opinion of Trump's Syrian fireworks display over and across and empty airport.

The following set of graphics is not meant as a form of snark. The data shows we are heading down a path which gave us George W. Bush and an international crisis (when coupled with poor banking decisions from the Clinton administration).

We do asset it is impossible to view the previous two graphics without contemplation of a couple of points. Non-whites vote moderately fewer than whites and whites seems to vote very much down the lines of social voting. Republican economic data is well published as a reliable flop after a period of good fortune. People who avoid such data while keeping their eyes and ears open to GOP political mantra (nationalism, militarism and in the case of 2016, celebrity worship) doom us to reliving our past. The current president, his cabal, and the GOP are so very administratively deranged, we may not escape the next Republican national abyss.
