Cornered Trump Spews At Least 6 Lies In 2 Minutes During Fox Interview; Plus Cohen's ABC Appearance

After Michael Cohen's sentencing on Wednesday Trump sat for what he must have felt would be a facilitating interview with a Fox News host other than "his man at Fox: Sean Hannity.

ShareBlue is reporting Trump peppered the Fox News viewers with six outright lies in a span of two minutes.

We have linked the full piece below to effectively capture ShareBlue's Six Lies.   We are sure other fact-checker swill follow.

This morning ABC News hosted a six-plus minutes interview with Cohen and I do not think I even need to state who I believe.

How To Interview Trump Pundit

"No, it’s false. It’s a misstatement.” “That doesn’t mean it’s a lie, OK?”

Well, actually, no it is not ,"OK." IT IS A LIE!

On November 2, 2018 The Washington Post reported Trump has lied 6420 times in his less than two years in the White House.  On the same day, CNN addressed Trump's lies as follows. CNN linked.

Trump's ever-present pathological lie is a fact. A reality as surely as the man is averse to appearing in rainy or wet weather. Isn't it sad a US President has to avoid Earth's climates to maintain a false representation of the actual person. Even more a tragedy is the over-the-top use of the lie to also makes the real person. a reality which exist as a for of double-entendre. It is good to finally see CNN and most MSNBC hosts address Trump's pervasive use of the lie.

Quick Hit: A lesson in who to deal with Trump TV pundits. It is unfortunate the lesson comes from foreign (Middle Eastern to be specific) media. US media has finally come-around to labeling Trump's daily lies as lies, but neither CNN or MSNBC has offered TV journalism as such.
When US media moves to direct journalist as such more Americans will see the underbelly of a president who lies well before any thoughts of the truth.

6.420 Lies In 18 Months

Now, that is a Presidential Record

Let's take a quick look at the first major and unnecessary lie from the Trump White House. The "hugely" lie took place the day after the inauguration. The Inauguration crowd size.

Image result for obama vs trump presidential lies

OK, a benefit of the doubt; a later version.

A composite image shows the inauguration crows for Barack Obama in 2009, left, and Donald Trump in 2017.

Trump's Press Secretary, the ill-fated Sean Spicer was sent before the world to issue a lie which was without question shameful, embarrassing, and an indication of what was to come.

Never have so few lied so much. And, we had no idea of lie Number 1 running up to lie Number 6,420 inside of 18 months in office. Oh, we actually had some idea of what was to come, but the rational among us have to wonder about the impact f Trumps lying on his supporters.

How difficult was it for Trump's supporters to see the light as a majority of voters saw the light?

Mexico hasn't built the wall.

Trump isn't working so hard he "...won't have time for golf." (Part II)

Trump and his economic team have not built a great economy. They have managed to avoid collapsing the virtual growth of the Obama stimulus of 2009. A collapse the administration seems committed to collapsing via sear economic incompetence.

Trump seems to be a lazy president. Some media reports are he arrives at the Oval Office in the early afternoon; while spending an inordinate amount of time golfing. During his first 100 days the US Presidency. the reality of Trump's work ethic shone as bright as the noon sun on the 9th Tee.

Lies, lies and more lies.

The New York Time, almost one-year ago, published a piece regarding Trump's lying which will take its place in US history alongside the fabled George Washington's Cherry Tree.

NYT, here.

No one who writes for The Progressive Influence is a scientist of the mind, but we have the wherewithal to seek information regarding anyone who seems to offer a lie as his/her first thought. And, offer the lies with regard for video or written fats which refute the more nascent lie.

Let's leave it with what follows.

Pseudologia fantastica
(Abstract from
Pseudologia fantastica is typified by these characteristics: (1) the stories are not entirely improbable and are often built upon a matrix of truth; (2) the stories are enduring; (3) the stories are not told for personal profit per se and have a self-aggrandizing quality; (4) they are distinct from delusions in that the person when confronted with facts can acknowledge these falsehoods. The authors compile phenomenological data about "the pseudolouge", who is represented equally males and females. Pseudologia Fantastica (Mythomania)

Pseudologia fantastica, also known as pathological lying or "mythomania," is the phenomenon of habitual or compulsive lying (either verbally or in writing) which was first described in medical literature in 1891 by Anton Delbruck. It is a controversial diagnosis because the subject often doesn't stand to gain anything from lying. The paradoxical thing about compulsive lying is that the subject may or may not know that they are lying although it is possible sometimes that a person may be lying to make their own life appear to be more exciting than it really is.

Michael Cohen Never Knew Trump To Lie

Image result for michael cohenHave a look at total sycophancy.  Michale Cohen is coming out of the shadows with talk of Trump as legal matters (and new lawyers) cometh.

We heard about his comments regarding his loyalty to his family vs Trump, but what follows is a sure sign of messaging to Trump and his cabal.
From our reading and listening well before Trump won the US Presidency in 2016, he is well known as a liar and manipulator. Since 2016, it seems his tendency to lie like as a first thought indicates a personal pathology. A pathology which is deeply ingrained to the point Cohen couldn't have possibly missed the ever-present lie. Therefore Cohen is lying as indicated via Jake Tappers, well-demonstrated non verbals in the video.

Cohen couldn't have escaped Trump's penchant for lying just as noted fact-checking organizations couldn't help but rate his statements "false" far more the "truth".

One graphic stands above the rest as poignant visual representation f Trup and the business of honesty, or lack thereof.

What follows is no bell curve representation. The bars are well skewered towards various degrees of "False."

A few weeks ago the New York Times tallied Trump lies since taking office at well beyond 3100 instances.  If you check any of the linked fact-checking sites, you will find more evidence of the extent to which Michael Cohen lied to CNN's Jake Tapper.

10 Top Fact-checking Sites

Michael Cohen, really?

I wonder if he would respond the same to similar questions while sitting with the Mueller investigation team.

"I Never Fired Comey Because Of Russia...."

Did Trump all Comey a "Showboat.?"

Image result for trump and lester holt I do not believe this image was photoshopped.

As of this morning and it needs no introduction.

Not that it matters but I never fired James Comey because of Russia! The Corrupt Mainstream Media loves to keep pushing that narrative, but they know it is not true!

Now give Fox News a few minutes. I know it is hard to do but it is worthwhile to see someone (a guest) correct Fox News propaganda.

Why Does Trump Lie? Is There Hope?

Yesterday we published a piece about Trump's increasing lying. Today MSNBC ran a segment with one of the authors who has recently written about Trump's penchant for lying. Its a stark and revealing piece which should be viewed by anyone in the nation who cares about threats to our democracy.

We have embedded the segment via a link as the video embed runs the full scope of the Craig Melvin show. Linked here.

If you did not visit with our piece posted yesterday, here is the link...check it out; similarities to a time past are astounding.

As Trump's World Turns: Lying To Military Families? How About 3.9% Unemployment?

Check out this CNN Headline:

Trump misleads about military pay raises

When media reports on Trump's daily lies via headlines which fall well shy of the full scope of Trump's words, media enables Trumpism.  Trump doesn't mislead; Trump lies, and he does so as a matter of fact as he breathes.

Over the course of the week leading up to Mother's Day, Trump offered a shameful lie to military mothers and military families.

We sought a shorter version of the Trump and wife charade which follows, but we are forced to post this 10-minute version. The version captures opening remarks from Trump's wife while setting the stage for the supreme carnival barker equipped to ready-to-roll lies about military pay increases.

Utter over-the-top lies which could not have been offered with support from the Defense Department.

As you would expect Trump's "Man in the House", Paul Ryan, joined in the charade. Well, actually Ryan attempted to fix the Trump lie with a quick tweet with fats regarding the Trump statement.
Proud to watch as @POTUS signs this legislation into law, giving our men and women in uniform their largest pay raise in 8 years.
The facts are: the US military troops and families have received one percent increases every year for the past 30 years. The 2018 2.4 percent increase is the largest increase in the past eight years.

Let's spend a few minutes with Politifact vi Tulsa World dot com.

Says the 2018 defense authorization bill includes raises for the military "for the first time in 10 years."

— President Donald Trump.

Here is a link to the full Tulsa World dot com (Politifact) piece.

Will the nation ever grow tried of Trumps daily lies or we becoming desensitized and accommodating regarding the lies?

While on the topic of "misleading" we all witnessed the perfect example of Trump misleading the nation via comments following the April Jobs Report. Trump and his Chief of Staff along with every Trump talking head CNN has on contributor contract played fast and loose with the 3.9% unemployment rate. The lowest unemployment rate since prior to the Bush Administration noteworthy to put it mildly. The subterfuge comes forth when the April figures are tossed around like a badge of praise without acknowledgment of how the rate is now compared to the rate in early 2009.

Take a quick look at how the post-Bush Sub Prime Bubble resulted in increased unemployment.

Image result

A glance at job losses after the Sub Prime Bubble burst.

Image result for us job losses 2008

From the two charts until Trump was inaugurated something about US History took place which led to an improved US economy and a cessation of Job losses at 450K to 750K per month. The Obama Economy ran for virtually eight years commencing with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (The Stimulus)

Before we move to dealing with Trump's rhetoric regarding the 3.9% unemployment rate, we should remind ourselves the GOP member of Congress almost tot he seat were against the Stimulus. The request for $1.2 trillion in Stimulus funding was cut to $800 million before passing into law mostly due to GOP resistance to the measure.

Since the day of the April Jobs Report release, Trump and his cadre of talking heads have bantered the 3.9% as if solely responsible for the improved numbers.

As the Obama Administration whittled away at the Bush economy and thousands of monthly job losses. Trump over the full course of the Obama Years peppered us with remarks meant to deflate the significance of an improving economy. Steve Benen recently published a piece regarding Trump and the April Jobs numbers, but first, let's remind ourselves of how Trump would comment when he heard or read good job numbers via Obama.
Time magazine this week:
“We have a real unemployment rate that’s probably 21%. It’s not 6. It’s not 5.2 and 5.5. Our real unemployment rate – in fact, I saw a chart the other day, our real unemployment – because you have ninety million people that aren’t working. Ninety-three million to be exact. If you start adding it up, our real unemployment rate is 42%.”
Benen's piece included the following chart.  We have also excerpted a few paragraphs from the piece. It wouldn't be possible for Trump to banter the unemployment rate during his 16 months in office without significant trending (often drastic trending) from Obama's policies and subsequent economic improvement.
MSNBC's The Rachel Maddow Blog
WHY: President Donald J. Trump’s historic tax cuts, deregulation, and pro-growth policies are creating jobs and restoring confidence in America’s economy.
There are a few relevant angles to this. First, a 3.9% unemployment rate is great news for the country and American workers, though the metric does come with some caveats. For example, the rate’s most recent drop was the result of discouraging developments, not encouraging ones.
Second, and more important, is the fact that Trump claiming credit for the news is a stretch. This is a great example of someone being born on third base and thinking they hit a triple: the jobless rate has been steadily declining since President Obama ended the Great Recession in his first term. It’s great that the trend has continued over the year and a half Trump has been in office, but no one should try to make the case that the Republicans’ tax breaks and deregulation crusade are somehow responsible for creating the trend that began in 2010.
Or put another way, looking at the above chart, Trump would have Americans believe he deserves credit for the red line, but his predecessor deserves no credit for the blue line. It’s a tough sell.

Mueller Worked For Obama For Eight Years? Trump Q & L (Question & Lie) More Of The Same

Image result for “In all fairness, Bob Mueller worked for Obama for eight years.”

Yesterday Donald Trump apparently decided to precede his trip to the NRA conference with a walk up Q & L (Lie) for the nation. He exited a South Lawn entrance to the White House and before entering Air Force One (helicopter), stopped for a quick barrage of lies to reporters.

After his visit to the press line, we published a piece with a few of his comments. There was one comment which even Trump and his staff should have known would draw fact-checkers. His comment about Special Counsel Mueller working for former president Obama was yet another example of carnival barking without forethought or a lie for lie sake. (I suggest, both)
“So you have all these investigators. They’re Democrats,” Trump added. “In all fairness, Bob Mueller worked for Obama for eight years.”
The comment is almost as exaggerated as Trump's team of investigators in Hawaii finding great stuff about Obama's birth certificate. Correction: That was a boldfaced lie.

Rather than copy and past a full piece from Fact Checker dot org. I am opting to post the title of a critical read via the title link and another link just below. Excellent read.

Congressman Has Never Heard Trump Lie (Video)

Image result for jim jordanYesterday CNN's Anderson Cooper sat in-studio for a remote segment with the GOP's Number One pit bull,  all-things conservative facilitator, and lunatic, Jim Jordan, R-OH.

The segment was actually unremarkable and proceeded as one would expect with Jordan standing in the Capitol Building.  Yet, one thing Jordan said stood out; and it speaks to his personal credibility.

As the segment progressed through discussion of former FBI Director James Comey, while touching on the Russian collusion probe, Cooper point-black asked Jordan if he had ever heard the president lie. The following video segment was cut at the point of Cooper's specific question. Linked, here. The full segment is posted below if you have an interest in listening to Jordan for seven minutes.

Jim Jordan hesitated ever so slightly and lied.

Trump's Veracity Tree Has No Life

If you are a person who is information savvy and generally informed, you know Trump's attacks against the owner of Amazon with US taxes as a weapon is mere distraction fodder. You know he went here during the 2016 primaries and the presidential campaign.

If you are averse to Snopes or don't consider Snopes the best of fact-checkers or even a reliable we offer another fact-check perspective on Trump's Amazon attack.

FalseTrump"Only fools, or worse, are saying that our money losing Post Office makes money with Amazon. THEY LOSE A FORTUNE, and this will be changed."

No, the Postal Service isn't losing a fortune on Amazon
As the week started and as Trump's Mar-A-Lago guest let for home (Hannity, Pirro, Miller, and reports of a call from Lou Dobbs), We were introduced to a "caravan of immigrants". As we watched the video, the group of walking human beings form Latin America seemed a bit out o sync with groups headed to the southern border. They seemed organized and animated when important act animated (on camera). One video showed the protesters in a festive state very uncommon to people who planned to rush to cross the US southern border.

ShareBlue and other social media reported on CNN's counter to Trump's claims of a caravan of immigrants.  ShareBlue.

As Trump's World Turns III (Lies, Lies and Lies)

The news of Trump bragging to a group of supporters in St. Louis, Missouri, isn't in any way a surprise. We all now that Trump is a pathological liar; even his supporters know what reality yet they will never admit his mental affliction

Trump's first thought is to lie. It is a very dangerous personal and national reality for many reasons. I suspect there isn't one international leader who doesn't recognize his pathological state. Thus our adversaries have an upper hand on the US via knowledge about Trump's psychological state and observation of his actions.

Trump's braggadocios comments to the audience at the Boeing facility, follows a shaky history between Canada's Trudeau and the new US president. The Washington Post recently ran a couple of short video regarding the Trudeau/Trump meeting shortly after Trump infested the Oval Office.  Let's start with a summary history of Trudeau/Trump.

Now visit with Trump amongst a group of wealthy supporters who don't seem not give a damn about his confessed lying. The group seemed to react as if Trump's comments were "cool."

Do you think a normal mind would speak as such? Now let's stretch the horror a bit. Do you think a sane, rational, and normal US President would go there?  The question is actually rhetorical: NO WAY!

Alas, Trump's pathological manifest across the full scope and breadth of his fledgling administration. It seems his team was developed with a couple of critical litmus test concerns. One litmus test item had to have been a willingness and a high level of acuity in lying.

Ben Carson also stepped up to the "plate" (pin intended).

Image result for ben carson dining room sets cartoon

While we all know Ben Carson is the consummate liar, his skirts are now showing as if wringing wet with oil. Better yet his skirt is showing as if affixed to dangling Dining Room China and silverware or goldware.

As the world came to know of allegations of his spending $31,000 USD on an office dining room set, Carson feigned victimhood. A strategy common to Trumpism and, frankly, often deployed by Republicans.

Thank you to so many who have expressed concern for me and my family over the latest accusations. Rest assured that there has been no dishonesty or wrongdoing by us. All the numbers and evidence are being gathered and a full disclosure is forthcoming. 1/2

We suspect, based on past attempts, that they will continue to probe and make further accusations even without evidence or substantiation. We will continue to ask for God’s guidance to do what is right. 2/2

On March 1st, Carson played the role to the maximum via exclaiming "shocked" at the price tag of the set. He also indicated he was not happy about the prices being charged for the set while also feigning he would prefer a set at a lower and more reasonable price.  It should be noted any remarks about the $31,000 set from the Carson's were issued via a spokesperson.

Within a couple of weeks, CNN reported on email which indicated Carson personally knew of the dining room set.  Read the email here.

How many times have you read or heard Carson speak of the virtues of the Lord or God (if you prefer)?

Let's end with an update on Trump's Politifact File

A serious national issue.
