Trump's Lackeys Love Russians

Sheriff David Clarke Another Trump Associate With High-Level Russian Pals

A 2015 trip to Russia by a delegation from the National Rifle Association, arguably Donald Trump's most powerful ally in the 2016 election, raises new questions about Trump's ties to Vladimir Putin. This time, Fox's favorite sheriff (and Trump supporter) David Clarke is involved. In 2015, an NRA delegation, including Clarke, met with Dmitry Rogozin who,…

A Return To M.A.D. With Putin Calling The Shots; Nukes Like Fruit

Image result for MAD nukesMany of you are far too young to recall history's days of M.A.D. regarding nuclear proliferation between the United States and the Soviet Union. Days when Vladimir Putin was immersed in KGB operations against the United States and while Donald Trump was finagling his way through riches at via common people like you and me. Times changed and civil national leadership in both countries seemed to move to a mature leadership state. Mutually Assured Destruction (M.A.D.) was seriously eased as the Soviet Union collapsed and after Reagan's war-like advisers moved away from DC.

M.A.D, and its insanity, of lay dormant even through years of Bush (DUBYA) white-knighting it through Afghanistan and Iraq. Two nations which will forever have a US military presence with probable build-up now that Donald Trump's minions and non-voters delivered the US Presidency. We should also give notice to Vladimir Putin's involvement in Trump's election and the reality of a need to seriously explore why a veritable dictator (with dreams of a revised Soviet Union) would want Trump as president. The question is rhetorical for anyone with a modicum of common sense. Trump will serve Putin very, very well.

Alas, we have Putin and Trump atop the most powerful military on Earth. China and Iran together do not match military power imbued in consideration of Trump's military and Putin's military. However, we know Putin's (Russia's military) is a far cry from that of the US and it takes only a minute to consider a recent report of a Russia's aircraft carrier Putin dispatched to the Middle East.  Rumors abound it is Russia's only aircraft carrier.

The Admiral Kuznetsov (Russia's largest warship....note diesel power). The relative size of the ship is highlighted in below. Two highlighted Russian fighters on the Admiral Kuznetsov's deck speak to the minuscule size of Russia's largest sea vessel.

The Nimitz size carrier (notice the size of similar planes on the Kennedy's deck.)  Also, notice the artificially posted image of the B-52 on its deck.

Of course, I digress.  The relationship between aircraft carrier fleets (and my larger naval comparison) doesn't mean very much, right?

Let's move to Trump's insane tweet and an associated matter. Russia's Putin has actively and openly started his manipulation of the non-inaugurated president. Apparently, the wily Putin has attended to a customary well wish to another international leader: Trump. Does Putin also wish the Prime minister of England and the President of France and Andrea Merkel of Germany the very same wish? The answer to the question may be, "yes."  Yet, I will wager his well wishes to those leaders will be absent any reference to Nuclear arsenals.

Donald Trump is over-the-top gleeful about a letter he received from his friend Putin.

Does this reality show fool not care that Putin would love to have his advanced hackers stealing any updates US capability? This guy is former KGB and a veritable dictator who purges opponents. Why would Trump assume Putin is sincere in any outreach? Especially outreach regarding returning to an arms race. Russia has, by some estimates, 1300 more warheads than the US. There are enough nuclear devices between the two nations to more than annihilate every inch of the Earth and possibly the Moon (with fallout and atmospheric poisons). All logic escapes me when over the past few years dismantling these arsenals was important to both parties. Yet, It seems one party wasn't particularly straightforward with "his" intent.
Just before this year's November General Elections, Putin pulled out of sections of the 2010 SALT Agreement. Did he have insight into what was to come via his support for Trump and the White House? (Yes, pull out before the stooge takes office; looks a lot better). Any Trump moves away from Obama's mutual agreement to dismantle nuclear arsenals will provide the impetus for Putin to further advance their arsenal. And, it takes place. Putin's pull out of the agreement and strategic timing was absolutely no coincidence.
CNN is reporting Trump received 'very nice' Christmas letter from Putin @CNNPolitics

And, what does the perfect stooge do to move the message across to his minions and members of Congress? He tweets:

What we have here is an unparalleled utter sickness; take a look.

Another look.

ICAN (The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons)

United StatesThe first country to develop nuclear weapons and the only country to have used them in war. It spends more on its nuclear arsenal than all other countries combined. 6,970 warheads
RussiaThe second country to develop nuclear weapons. It has the largest arsenal of any country and is investing heavily in the modernization of its warheads and delivery systems. 7,300 warheads
United KingdomIt maintains a fleet of four nuclear-armed submarines in Scotland, each carrying 16 Trident missiles. Its parliament voted in 2016 to overhaul its nuclear forces. 215 warheads
FranceMost of its nuclear warheads are deployed on submarines equipped with M45 and M51 missiles. One boat is on patrol at all times. Some warheads are also deliverable by aircraft. 300 warheads
ChinaIt has a much smaller arsenal than the US and Russia. Its warheads are deliverable by air, land and sea. It appears to be increasing the size of its arsenal at a slow pace. 260 warheads
IndiaIt developed nuclear weapons in breach of non-proliferation commitments. It is increasing the size of its nuclear arsenal and enhancing its delivery capabilities. 100–120 warheads
PakistanIt is making substantial improvements to its nuclear arsenal and associated infrastructure. It has increased the size of its nuclear arsenal in recent years. 110–130 warheads
IsraelIt has a policy of ambiguity in relation to its nuclear arsenal, neither confirming nor denying its existence. As a result, there is little public information or debate about it. 80 warheads
North KoreaIt has a fledgling nuclear weapons programme. Its arsenal probably comprises fewer than 10 warheads. It is not clear whether it has the capability to deliver them.<10 font="" warheads="">

New York Times published a piece which on the surface seems to reach and stretch for rational thought regarding Trump following Putin through the dangerous maze of nuclear proliferation. The piece is actually very interesting as the point to point prospect of what may have meant with his tweet are intriguing. The writer induces thought. However, I didn't find what I consider the real prospect of Trump simply and incompetently following behind a dictator who's major mission is to return Russia to the status of world nuclear power.

Does Trump care about the prospect Putin knows his nuclear arsenal is less a threat if his delivery systems include vessels such as the Admiral Kuznetsov? Moreover and I repeat does the president-elect fail to realize (along with his close advisers) Putin has advanced capability in internet and systems hacking? Any developments in US military build-ups and modification will surely take place with immediate observation via Putin's newfound internet army?

Take a moment for a short and quick slide presentation on where we were and implied messages of Putin and Trump's world order.

Trump is showing a level of naivety uncommon to US international leadership. Personally, I cannot avoid the possibility Trump will make all White House decisions with sole attention to his personal (and family) gain, thus serving as the perfect stooge for a nefarious and conniving Russian leader.

If there is a Russian alive who cannot see the ultimate danger of a Putin and Trump crony relationship, their country joins this country at the precipice of an abyss of no return. Even Russian oligarchs and worldwide money brokers (Russian and non-Russian) may one day see their economic world crumble down to that of our world.

Snowden Meets Oliver: Leave Snowden In Russia

The TPI hopes Snowden remains in Russia!

Last Week Tonight's John Oliver accompanied a feat yet unaccomplished by the few media darlings who journey to Russia for softball interviews with Edward "The Honorable" Snowden.

None of us had prior knowledge of an upcoming interview with the Vladimir Putin protege. As I received word of the interview and Oliver humorous role on HBO, I felt little need to view the interaction. It seems I was off base to put it mildly. Oliver's interview was for lack of a better word testy" and probably generated a few tsunami like butt-pucker from Russia's prize guest.

The interview is 33 minutes in durations, so I'll move to the embed.  If you are thinking of not viewing the full interview based on Oliver's early seriousness, hang-in, it does to humor towards the end of the segment.

I need keyboard no additional remarks beyond positing surveillance and INTEL is the only weapon against the many surge killers who are seeking some sort of affiliation with rogue Islamacists.

I will add: Snowden is a narcissistic fool who after being released from his contract via the CIA, should never have been hired by a company fulfilling its mission under the auspices of the NSA. He proudly yelps that buzz word Liberty" like a spoiled Libertarian, but he offers false liberty when death of innocence is the price for his 'liberty."

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Love Of Putin And The US Right

Russian President Vladimir Putin: hero to some in conservative America despite his clear Cold War Era leadership. The man is as regressive as any member of the GOP and only moderately more dangerous to the world at large. Let there be no mistake, conservative America is dangerous to our nation and increasingly dangerous and baneful to international well being.

Summary At the White House, President Obama said the U.S. government is "deeply concerned" by reports of Russian "military movements" and warned any violation of Ukraine's sovereignty would be "deeply destabilizing." Russia kept silent on claims of military intervention, even as it maintained its hard-line stance on protecting ethnic Russians in Crimea, a peninsula of Ukraine on the northern coast of the Black Sea.

Vladimir Putin was flanked by the two parliamentary speakers as he signed the law annexing Crimea
For Putin an Russia (with his 8 ls per cent approval rating): "Let the good times roll."

Fox News 10 mths ago

Summary "There will be costs for any military intervention in Ukraine," he said, without specifying what those costs might be. "We are now deeply concerned by reports of military movements taken by the Russian Federation inside of Ukraine," Obama said.
Now let's visit with the "Dark Side." Yes, I am speaking of the ever-present drum of anti-Obama rhetoric for the Right. As we review what follows, try to recall any instance of US governance that proved more favorable for the Right while proving President Obama wrong you will not find enough of a case to occupy scant seconds of your thought processes. The American Right is a regressive self-destructive entity that thrives-off the social divides in the US. Divides that could easily lead to US wars, increased poverty and the death of the US middle class. Yet, you vote GOP with regard for what follows.

Mind you, the Russian economy is withering under the grips of international sanctions in response to Putin's Geo-po;iica ambitions. Well before the vice grip set-in the usual suspect GOP mouth-pieces chimed-in for a chorus of "we love Putin."

LA Times

Marco Rubio
“We cannot ignore that the flawed foreign policy of the last few years has brought us to this stage, because we have a president who believed but by the sheer force of his personality he would be able to shape global events,” Rubio said.
Sarah Palin
“Obama, the perception of him and his ‘potency’ across the world is one of such weakness,” Palin said. “Look it, people are looking at Putin as one who wrestles bears and drills for oil. They look at our president as one who wears mom jeans and equivocates and bloviates.”
“While his stance as a defender of traditional values has drawn the mockery of Western media and cultural elites, Putin is not wrong in saying that he can speak for much of mankind.” Buchanan wrote. “... He is seeking to redefine the ‘Us vs. Them’ world conflict of the future as one in which conservatives, traditionalists and nationalists of all continents and countries stand up against the cultural and ideological imperialism of what he sees as a decadent West.”

Yahoo News

McCain on Obama and the Ukraine..
"....McCain had blasted the Obama administration as "cowardly," and criticized the president for attending two Democratic fundraisers in New York late Thursday instead of focusing on the international crisis."
Adam Kinzinger
"Adam Kinzinger, a Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told Fox News that Obama needs to be "very clear-eyed" about the Russian threat and "call Putin out by name."
"I hope President Obama shows the same moral leadership today that President (Ronald) Reagan showed in 1983," Kinzinger said, referring to Reagan's blistering speech four days after a Soviet fighter jet shot down a Korean Airlines passenger plane that strayed into Soviet air space."
Lindsey Graham
Senator Lindsey Graham said years of weak Obama diplomacy and passive responses to crises like Syria have emboldened the world's aggressors.
"I'm not blaming the United States for shooting down the airplane," Graham said Thursday.
"I'm saying that the foreign policy of President Obama is allowing conflicts to grow in scope and nature, and that the longer these things go the more people get drawn in."
Rudy Giuliani (the supreme conservative bloviator)

The infamous Guiliani video

Now, a look at what the American Right embraced with full blown machismo and lust for jingoism.

Wait, do not believe your eyes an ears, this is not happening!

In March of 2014, the US and European countries struck a death knell to Putin and the Russian economy. Putin continued with his (Sarah Palin) "bear wrestling" and the impact of his machismo-Cold War leadership led to what follows.

Global Post

As the chart below notes, US leverage on Russia via trade is limited, although Europe’s large imports of Russian gas and oil potentially offer a lever if replacement supplies can be arranged. But oil and gas supply chains are notoriously difficult to reroute, and the United States’ exports of its own suddenly copious gas to Russia-dependent Central and Eastern Europe are years away.

That has led many to suggest that by targeting Russia’s state-owned banking sector, the international community can punish with reasonable precision a group that’s abetted Kremlin policies, often enthusiastically.

A visit with a recent LA Times piece drives my point home like s jack hammer.

Russia situation 'extremely grave': Trichet

I have focused on the Russian economy post Crimea not so much to criticize the Russian people. My take-away from the piece is a square and honest look at the fallacy of the American Right. Or should I say, those who spent significant time and energy snuggling up to the Russian leader who is by any definition a regressive Cold War relic. He is a dinosaur who shares firm footing with many American conservatives. They are all mired in tar-pits reaching, grabbing and yelping for a time long past.

Fox News Guilfoyle Oozes Over Putin. Blame Fox News Management (Not Ailes's hired help and set decoration)

Can we get like Netanyahu, or like Putin in for 48 hours, you know, head of the United States?

Yes, you read the headline correctly. Now, consider the source. Think in terms of "candy"' not just "eye candy." Think far more pruriently than simple eye candy.  This is "eye-candy"....(Black, White, Latino Asian, Native American, Arabic).

The gallery that follows is purely prurient with a purpose.  After the gallery, find the name and face of the "Putin" worship.

Guilfoyle said, “Can I just make a special request in the magic lamp? Can we get like Netanyahu, or like Putin in for 48 hours, you know, head of the United States? I don’t know. I just want somebody to get in here and get it done right so that Americans don’t have to worry and wake up in the morning fearful of a group that’s murderous and horrific like ISIS.”

After accepting Gretchen Carlson publicly stated on Brian Kilmeade's radio show women were not allowed to wear pants on the Fox News sets, consider Roger Ailes admitted he hired Palin "because she is hot."

Putin as unfettered oligarch

Let's take a couple of perspectives on Putin. Celebrity Net Worth published a piece this past July that offers the reader a glimpse at Putin's past 10 years at the tip of Russian Leadership and a peep at his most humble background.

Last April, Putin revealed both his salary and estimated net worth. Unfortunately something just didn't add up. Putin's disclosure portrayed the controversial leader as a humble man of the people with very meager, practically non-existent, income and assets. This portrayal did not sit well with many experts of Russian government and politics. These experts agree that, without question, Putin has used his last decade of absolute power and wholehearted corruption to stash away a vast personal fortune estimated at more than $70 billion. A fortune that simply does not jibe with the humble, man-of-the-people, portrait Putin paints of himself.
Vladimir Putin Glasses and Watch
Vladimir Putin – $70 Billion Fortune
So what evidence is there of Putin's secret obscene fortune? Let's start with the small stuff. Putin is known to sport a $150,000 Patek Philippe watch on most occasions and his total collection has been valued at $700,000. He also has full access to a $40 million ultra-luxury yacht that features a wine cellar, Jacuzzi, helipad and outdoor barbecue area. In terms of living accommodations, Putin has access to 20 mansions throughout the world including a lavish ski lodge and Medieval castle. The crown jewel of his property portfolio is a $1 billion palace overlooking the Black Sea that he allegedly owns through an anonymous trust. Furthermore, Putin makes frequent use of 15 Presidential helicopters and more than 40 private jets, many of which feature gold plated interiors.
If Vladimir Putin's net worth truly sits at $70 billion, that would be enough to make him the third richest person on the planet right behind Bill Gates and Carlos Slim Helu. It would likely also represent one of the largest personal fortunes ever accumulated by a sitting President. The only other world leader who possibly looted more cash from his country was Muammar Gaddafi, who after 40 years of power stashed away a reported $200 billion in ill-gotten oil money.
There's probably never going to be a way to fully scrutinize Putin's wealth, but at the very least it's safe to assume his official declarations are not the full picture. Do you believe that Putin is worth $70 billion?

Putin and Civil Unrest

RUSSIA: Vladimir Putin Says Gay Nazis Are Behind Civil Unrest In Ukraine

According to Matthew Schmidt, an American expert on the region, Vladimir Putin has taken to labeling anti-Russian protesters in Ukraine as “gay Nazis.”
The gay Nazis label was simultaneously an attempt to tie the new pro-Europe camp in Kiev to the hated German Third Reich while also taking advantage of the growing acceptance of gay marriage in the West, particularly in the United States. “Putin has said homosexuality is not our values, and that sense of tolerance of homosexuality is not part of Euroasia,” said Schmidt, who will be in Ukraine monitoring the May 25 elections that are being overseen by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

Putin as Dictator

Vladimir Putin 'sacks 18 top-ranking Russian officials'

Among those who lost their jobs were heads of the Ministry of the Interior and Federal Drug Control Service

Saturday 09 August 2014
Russian President Vladimir Putin has sacked 18 high-ranking officers from their posts, according to a Ukrainian news website.
In a purging move by the embattled world leader, heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Drug Control Service and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation lost their jobs.
The dismissals, reported exclusively by Euromaidan Press, are said to have been carried out in secret.
While no official announcement appears to have been made by Mr Putin, reporters have posted links to the Kremlin’s official website – which can be translated into English – that show a list of staff “released” from their posts.
The move is understood to have been made on Wednesday, 6 August, but has not been reported in any of the mainstream media, either at home or abroad.
A number of high ranking military personnel are included among the 18 named.
We realize the Right has an affinity for Russia veritable dictator. An affinity that finds images as those posted below appealing with requisite machismo and with aura of the grand outdoors man. The images also remind of George W. Bush ranch purchase prior to his 2000 run for president and the immediate sell of the ranch upon leaving office.

Ultimately, the public and pronounced affinity for Russia's dictator is mere fodder for jingoist elements of American conservatism. Fox News managers and producers are not stupid people, yet they develop broadcast themes and messages that full embodies "The Stupid."  As with any product or service producer the operational model is "Give the customer what they want."

We offer the following gallery of "what they want." Rest assured the customers want the full measure of the person in each image.  It is an American tragedy that has only manifest with the election of Barack H., Obama as the 44th US President.

Love of Putin aside, let's close with our lede gallery of Fox News business and operational model we call blabbering "ass candy." Ass candy mixed with far-right propaganda and utter low intellect messaging.

Our posit is in now way an effort to demean women news hosts and reporters. Our reporting does not find similarly "leggy" host model on MSNBC, other non-cable news networks and only limited exposure on CNN. Our concern with "ass candy" news delivery is its accompanying messages. Messaging that is predominately false, misinformation and outright lies. Fox has actually moved to James O'Keefe and Andrew Breitbart like message editing.

Fox News producers work to feed viewers with subliminal messages and false bravado images of Putin without any regard for how he has amassed a $70 billion treasure chest and palaces across the globe in a 10 years period.

The problem far exceeds hired "legs and thighs" for delivery of commentary, the problem is the mindset of Fox News ownership and tot executives. People who foster the Fox News business model and people who so disregard common decency and journalistic professionalism while offering WWE like news and commentary. As with the WWE, Fox News broadcast personalities should be members of the screen actors guild vs an organization of journalistic accreditation or licensing.
