White House Briefing Photo (Yet Another Lie)

Is it possible to ever think that the White House will get it right without lying? Press Secretary Huckabee Sanders followed up Trump's potential Wag the Dog in Syria with what she promulgated as Trump in a Syria briefing.

The following meme is making its way across social media.

The Swamp Departures And Total Disregard For "CLASSIFIED" Info

Related image
Any way you view it or consider it, the Trump Administration shows clear signs it isn't close to "ready" for high-level federal governance.  While we poke at the administration (and Trump) for being incompetent and existentially offering nothing more than a reality show in the Oval Office, it all comes with the potential for national doom.

Business Insider

BI Graphics_Cabinet Resignations (1)

While Trump is entertaining the world as the most erratic, unstable and disengaged US president ever, the GOP is both raping the nation in many ways while bickering among the party like hungry vultures fighting over a small carcass. The GOP is willing to tolerate a Keystone Cops-like White House as long as Trump paves a path for regressive party ideology and associated legislation. But, rational Americans should ask: "When is enough, enough?"

"Enough" should have hit many months ago. "Unacceptable" has now crept into our daily trump "reality" and the level and scope of unacceptable include unsecured employees with open access to White House classified information and men who have a history of "rough handling or outright abuse of women.

The many departures is a clear sign of an unstable world suffering from poor judgment, incompetent management, and terrible hires.

Yes, there is something way wrong in the White House.  If you can watch the following segment and not think in terms of "the swamp," you are a better person than me.

We also found other media or press which are reporting on the many Trump Administration departures. The Washington Post, linked

Look at this crew and then click on the video.

The Maddow show also included a long-running but critical segment regarding utter disregard for all things classified in the White House. Recall the day after Trump unceremoniously fired then FBI Director Comey he entertained a Russian press only group of high over Russians in the Oval Office. Imagine such with Obama? The two Russians included what was then Russia's top recruitment spy in the US. Do not lose track of the reality, these men were shooting the breeze with Trump in the Oval Office!

If you are a true liberal or progressive of course, you saw the segment last night.  If you did not view it last night, do not miss an opportunity to see another angle of pure bush-league via Trump.

A problem!

State Of The Union: A National Embarrassment (Fact Checks)

Image result for sotu fact check

Of course, I didn't spend one second of last night on Trump's Stage of the Union (SOTU) performance. I have heard it ran close to one and a half hours, and from today's reporting was laced with lies truth-stretching and other Trumpism. Correction, there was a new twist to the first Trump SOTU. He gave himself applause along with his GOP members of Congress. The visual.

Let's take Trump's recent mantra regarding "black unemployment" as it was bundled into other comments which seem to touch on issues important to minorities.

Many fact checks exist on the day after the SOTU. Last night MSNBC offered a short fact check within an hour of Trump leaving the House Chamber.

I have anxiously awaited the Politifact fact-check which follows. We offer the Politifact Truth-O-Meter (or lack thereof in Trump's case).
Image may contain: text
When added to the Politifact Trump File, the life of Trump in the White House looks as such.

False statements every four and a half minutes throughout the SOTU.

Another perspective on Trump's SOTU performance:

As was the case with Bill Clinton and issues outside of his marriage. As was the case of Trump and his history of sleaze, we also knew that Trump was a serial liar who also avoid fraud trials via settling out of court. But I will wager no one knew the extent of his affliction of lying (itis). Yet, it is all much more serious than Trump's pathological lying.

Trump could serve as a conduit to a state of fascism very much akin to international leaders and regimes he seems to hold in high grace and fondness. If you tend to disagree, watch closely his public affinity for the leaders of Russia, Turkey, and the Philippines. High information Voters (HIVs) are immune from Trumpism as their scope of and quest for, knowledge span outside of total belief in and devotion to Trump and Trump TV (AKA Fox News and Sinclair News) and radio media. The conduit is Trump reach and fissures in the minds and psyches of people who are the antithesis of the HIV; the LIV (Low Information Voter). Therein lies the danger. A danger which without questions past dictators and mental ill national leaders use to affect a subservient populace willing to accept any acts from the leader.

Here are a couple of links to additional observation and comment regarding Trump's SOTU:

The Trump Reality Show Yields Indictments And A Guilty Plea

Trump Reality TV... Must Follow Episode: "The Law Cometh"

Image result for the law

Many Americans and millions internationally who care about Russian intrusion in the US General election, probably spend moderate amounts of mental energy on where Special Counsel Mueller is "going" with the Trump investigation. Is it a mere deflection (as charged by Trump and his cabal), is it a fruitless waste of time and when will we see any vestiges of legal proceeding from the months of investigation? An investigation which started well before Mueller was appointed as Special Counsel.

We were informed over the summer months that Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, had been informed of a coming indictment. The report of an October guilty plea form a Trump campaign adviser (official) has placated daily curiosity while moving the case towards what, we feel, will reach into the White House.

As an investigator, Mueller has reminded us that we are distant spectators to US history and the beginning stages of a scandal which will surpass that of the 1970s Watergate investigations.  It seems we should recognize the clear message from the following graphic.

No automatic alt text available.

Meanwhile, Yahoo dot com has published a good piece regarding today's  episode of Trump In The White House.
PAUL MANAFORT, trumps former campaign manager was indicted on 12 charges:
GEORGE PAPADOPOULOS, former Trump advisor pleaded GUILTY to lying to the FBI about his contact with Russians. This marked the first criminal count that cites interactions between Trump campaign associates and Russians.
RICK GATES worked for Paul Manafort and continued working for trump after Manafort left. He is indicted on the same charges as Manafort. In total, more than $75 million flowed through the offshore accounts, according to the indictment. Manafort is accused of laundering more than $18 million.

Trump Sought To Backtrack His Obama Comment (VIDEO)

When four US citizens (Embassy officials, security detail, and US Ambassador Stevens) died in the US Consulate attack in Benghazi, both President Obama and Security of State Clinton met the returning Americans in death.

Image may contain: 1 person, outdoor

After the death of four US Green Berets in Niger not only did Trump avoid mention of the deaths, he played golf upon their arrival back to their country.

Not only has Trump failed in showing any level of concern or respect for the deceased Army Special Forces, he has only initiated contact with the families of the dead after a typically disgusting response to a reporter's questions during yesterday's Rose Garden (Mitch McConnell) fiasco.

For two full weeks, Trump has avoided any mention of the deaths of four American Green Berets in the African nation of Niger. Of course, we all knew US troops were assigned to Niger, right?  Yes of course. we knew.

We can add another set of US military deaths to Trump's growing string of US troops killed in situations which seem avoidable. How is it possible the small group of Army Special Forces headed to a local village fell victim to an ISIS attack by 50 or more fighters?  Whatever happened to US INTEL, and command competency?

Moreover, whatever happened to leadership from the Oval Office when such deaths take place. I personally recall the sad scenes of Barack Obama, and in some cases, his wife Michelle, comforting and offering national condolences to military Gold Star families. Trump has allowed two weeks to pass and seem to only have addressed the deaths when questions at today's Rose Garden visit.

“The traditional way, if you look at President Obama and other presidents, most of them didn’t make calls. A lot of them didn’t make calls,” he said. “I like to call when it’s appropriate when I think I’m able to do it.”

Of course, we know trump resorted to his common refrain of "Obama didn't do it."

Within seconds of his initial lie, watch as Trump offers his common backtrack.

Is it possible the nation is acclimating to a new norm of a US President who's initial thought on all matters is to lie? Often the lie is so weak and feeble, even Trump cannot defend the lie. As you watched the linked video, did you notice Mitch McConnell standing nearby like a horse tied to a post awaiting its owner's next move?

Trump Six Months In Office

Image result for trump polling down

America...we really should expect better from the White House.

Record low approval levels, Russian hacking, and healthcare are serving as an anvil to Trump's Administration as surely as he is overweight.

A just released ABC News/Washington Post Poll shows the extent of the political and leadership bleeding.

Pew also recently published a poll with another stark reality about Trump.

"Trump Not A Liar" (Arguable)

We appreciate the life of the "presstittue." We know they are handsomely paid and will say anything to ensure that check is direct deposited. They do not care one iota about the outcome of their messages, just how well they offer up their deliverables.

Trump's Lies vs. Your Brain - POLITICO Magazine

Millions across American know Donald Trump as a showman, and carnival barker. He also has a reputation of a businessman and for many a reputation as a pathological serial liar. The fact that he employs willing liars ( presstitutes) to carry his messages isn't a surprise. The fact that he so often sends his hired lairs out to feed Americans such unfathomable and ridiculous lies is a bit surprising.

Life is such that living with an insulting aura simply does not bode well for one's quality of life. When the insulting aura is so prominent in our daily lives the low quality of life exudes into our lives.

Trump Five Days Before The White House; Media Control?

“They are not going to discuss [the business] with me,” Trump said of his sons. “Again, I don't have to do this. They're not going to discuss it with me.”

Trump said he signed the papers in these stacks of folders, which his staff brought to Wednesday's press conference. The documents supposedly relate to his plan to turn over his businesses to his sons. Photo: CNN/Twitter

Within a matter of hours CNN ran an update regarding the folders.
Reporters were blocked from examining the documents, which appear to lack labels, sticky notes or any writing. Photo: CNN/Twitter

While the Snopes website has published a piece (analysis and opinion) the possibility of fake papers is unproven, I personally believe Trump and his circus would not hesitate to offer fake documents. Let's be real, Trump has played the US voters who support and voted for him. He is now moving towards whipping US media into providing non-critical coverage of his antics, his lies, and his reality show subterfuge.

Speaking of subterfuge, why does Trump circus have so very many characters who seem to have the word plagiarism as a cloud which follows them around like the unsheddable dust cloud of the Peanuts character "Pig Pen?"

First, the was the Melania Trump speech with blatant plagiarism from a previous speech delivered by First Lady Michelle Obama. Sadly, for many the speech plagiarism led to the discovery of a trail of background education and experience lies posted on Melania Trump's website.

With 24 hours (and at the same GOP Convention) Trumps elder son (Jr) also touched into the art of speech delivery with borrowed text. While the original author of Jr.'s words and writer of Jr.'s convention speech, Frank Buckley, denied there was verbiage "stealing", denial of a failure to attribute was clear and present.

Alas, the Trump act continued to the reported anticipated hire of a former Fox News personality (analyst): Monica Crowley. Well, the "P" word rose its revealing head once again. I should qualify my use of the "P" word. I am not referencing the much more reported Trump use of the "P" word and physical abuse of certain women.

Plagiarism again bit the Trump camp.

While I don't spend good personal time watching and listening to Trump and his staff, I do feel it noteworthy to offer a Guardian UK piece about Trump's recent press conference. The Conference at which he strategically and quite intentionally used a CNN reporter as the subject of Trump's obvious work to mold US media.

It’s safe to say that the Trump administration is already in shambles – and it hasn’t even started yet

Molding and shaping the message from US media is dangerous to humankind as the proliferation of the Third Reich in the mid-1920s. Without hesitation, and with only minor disagreement the time-worn adage is true: "As The US goes, so goes the world." We are, however, seeing fleeting examples of push back to Trump's propagandists and "presstitutes." watch and listen as Anderson cooper dealt ;with Kelly Anne Conway a few days ago.

I will close this piece with a most thoughtful and accurate media related opinion piece from Robert Reich, liberal activist and former head of the Department of Labor in the Bill Clinton Administration.  The piece was published towards the end of November. linked here.

UPDATE: Media Matters for America published a piece this morning (January 18, 2016) which details Trump's obvious strategy to mold and shape the media. If you think for a moment the strategy is also promulgated to control you.  Media Matters linked here.

The World And Iranian Nuclear Deal: Historic W/ Anticipated Backlash

President Barack Obama: "....a step towards a "more hopeful world."
Iran's President Hassan Rouhani the deal proved that "constructive engagement works".

After many years of sanctions against the Iranian government and two full years of direct six party (even including Iran) negotiations, a nuclear deal has come to fruition (deal details). The deal is not an agreement between the United States and Iran. It was developed with full authorization of the United Nations and negotiated with the five members of the UN Security Council and the US.

(....the five permanent members of the United Nations Security CouncilUnited States, Russia, China, France, United Kingdom—plus Germany and the European Union)
The deal awaits approval from both the Iranian government and religious leader (s) as well as approval from the US Congress.

US-Iran Strike Historic Nuclear Deal (VIDEO)
UPDATE: July 14, 2015, 9:25 AM EDT
VIENNA (AP) — After long, fractious negotiations, world powers and Iran struck an historic deal Tuesday to curb Iran's nuclear program in exchange for billions of dollars in relief from international sanctions — an agreement aimed at averting the threat of a nuclear-armed Iran and another U.S. military intervention in the Middle East.

The accord marks a dramatic break from decades of animosity between the United States and Iran, countries that alternatively call each other the "leading state sponsor of terrorism" and the "the Great Satan."
"This deal offers an opportunity to move in a new direction," President Barack Obama said in early morning remarks from the White House that were carried live on Iranian state television. "We should seize it."
In Tehran, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said "a new chapter" has begun in his nation's relations with the world. He maintained that Iran had never sought to build a bomb, an assertion the U.S. and its partners have long disputed.
Beyond the hopeful proclamations from the U.S., Iran and other parties to the talks, there is deep skepticism of the deal among U.S. lawmakers and Iranian hardliners. Obama's most pressing task will be holding off efforts by Congress to levy new sanctions on Congress or block his ability to suspend existing ones.
Sunni Arab rivals of Shiite Iran have also expressed concern over the deal. And Israel, which sees Iran as an existential threat, strongly opposes leaving the Islamic republic with nuclear infrastructure in place.
Watch Obama's full remarks on the deal, via C-SPAN:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has furiously lobbied against a deal, called the agreement a "bad mistake of historic proportions."

Of course reaction from Israel's Netanyahu and the GOP as as expected.  The first 2 minutes of  this MSNBC video shows initial reaction to the "deal."

Bobby Jindal Speaks "No" Minimum Wage Hike for His Constituents! (Big Business)

Images NOLA Dot Com

An exemplary money grabber speaks out against raising the minimum wage.

Apparently, the Governors meeting at the White House was considered somewhat congenial and productive. Or, at least that is what some media reported.

Some governors never pass on opportunity to appeal to constituents who are obvious not people who cast votes during elections.

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal exited the meeting, joined other governors at the White House microphone and fired-off oratory that at least one governor felt was out-of-place grandstanding.  We have posted a RePost.US video below, but first allow me a minute of opine.

Bobby Jindal was obviously speaking to people who provide financial support for political campaigns. It was as if, he was saying, "....Look at me, I am doing your bidding, I do not care if I am governor of a state with citizens who could seriously benefit from an increase in the federal minimum wage, I am here for you business owners, Koch brothers and fellow conservatives."

Jindal Rebuttal Over Minimum Wage (via Repost Video News)
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a Republican, and his Connecticut Democratic counterpart, Dannel Malloy, squared off over the minimum wage after they and other governors met with President Barack Obama.

MSNBC's, Chris Matthews, Hardball broadcast a segment related to the White House Microphone opportunity. His guest Michael Steele former RNC Chair, and Connecticut Governor Malloy sat for a great point-counterpoint segment.

Why would Jindal 'go there' once the cameras started to roll?   All politicians solicit and accept contributors for donors. Donor sources include Political Action Committees (PACS), personal donors and business contributors.

Why would the governor of a state with no current state minimum wage speak singularity as the anti-minimum wage governor? The answer escapes me.  If we run through a bit of data related to minimum wage, occupations that generally exit at the lower end of the income scale, we will find jobs that Jindal's Louisiana has in abundance.

Minimum wage by U.S. state and U.S. territory (American SamoaGuamPuerto RicoVirgin Islands), as of January 1, 2014.

States with minimum wage rates higher than the federal rate
States and territories with minimum wage rates the same as the federal rate
States with no state minimum wage law
States and territories with minimum wage rates lower than the federal rate
Territory with varied minimum wage rates lower than the federal rate

Louisiana is a state that relies on tourist dollars from its hospitality, gaming and service sector jobs.

Wiki provides a review of jobs most affected by the federal minimum wage, the data is a bit age, but for points of reference the data works very well.

Jobs affected by the minimum wage

The jobs that are most likely to be directly affected by the minimum wage are the ones that pay a wage close to the minimum.
According to the May 2006 National Occupational Employment and Wage Estimates,[105] the four lowest-paid occupational sectors in May 2006 (when the federal minimum wage was $5.15 per hour) were the following:
SectorWorkers EmployedMedian WageMean WageMean Annual
Food Preparation and Serving Related Occupations11,029,280$7.90$8.86$18,430

Building and Grounds Cleaning and Maintenance Occupations4,396,250$9.75$10.86$22,580
Two years later, in May 2008, when the federal minimum wage was $5.85 per hour and was about to increase to $6.55 per hour in July 2008, these same sectors were still the lowest-paying, but their situation (according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data)[106] was:
SectorWorkers EmployedMedian WageMean WageMean Annual
Food Preparation and Serving Related Occupations11,438,550$8.59$9.72$20,220
Farming, Fishing, and Forestry Occupations438,490$9.34$11.32$23,560

In 2008, only two occupations paid a median wage less than $8.00 per hour:[106]

Combined Food Preparation and Serving Workers, Including Fast Food2,708,840$7.90$8.36$17,400
According to the May 2009 National Occupational Employment and Wage Estimates,[107] the lowest-paid occupational sectors in May 2009 (when the federal minimum wage was $7.25 per hour) were the following:

SectorWorkers EmployedMedian WageMean WageMean Annual
Gaming Dealers86,900$8.19$9.76$20,290
Combined Food Preparation and Serving Workers, Including Fast Food2,695,740$8.28$8.71$18,120

While not one of the occupations is missing from the employment roles in Louisiana, most are as prevalent as crayfish or Jambalaya.

Jindal is certainly not a recipient of large sums of labor donations; the history of business donations is quite another story.

The data sheds (a revealing) light on why Jindal would take on the microphone mouthpiece role against a minimum wage hike. The data actually points to a politician who should be ashamed of himself. It should be noted the Jindal is also a Republican Governor who refuses to accept Medicaid Expansion dollars form the federal government.

When do people hold their elected officials accountable for political malfeasance?
