Conservative America And Its Growing Racist Cancer!

"They Come to America"
"I spent three days living in the dirt on the Mexican-Arizona border, and there are more than people crossing the border who want to cut your lawn. There are people coming here who want to cut your throats," filmmaker Dennis Lynch.

We have no evidence Lynch has any affiliation with the tea party. His movie and his comments related to the cutting of lawns and cutting of throats is particularly troublesome as it takes racism to the level of intellectual validation.  Lynch developed a film related to the US southern border and comments about cutting throats when we read more about killings for immigrants other than people from south of our southern border.  In fact, I heard today that most "illegal immigration" is from people who enter the country with legal visas and never leave the US. The visa holders are not predominately Hispanic.

Tea Party: More Signs of Racism?
Tea Party National Anthem image!
The GOP is completely infested with racism that exceeds basic hatred of people based on skin color,  culture and ethnicity, the party has many officials who also practices outright misogyny.  The most vivid example, this week, require a brief visit the nation's heartland: Illinois.
Montgomery County GOP Chairman Jim Allen, who is also a member of Race and Social Problems’ Team 2014.

“Outrageous comments like those of Jim Allen are why we as Republicans fail to gain any respect from minority voters,” said Doug Ibendal, Editor-In-Chief of Republican News Watch. ”If officials in my party (the Republican Party) fail to understand how destructive it is to attack an impressive person like Erika Harold merely because she dares to challenge the good-old-boys, the GOP will remain a losing party for decades. This stay-in-the-back-of-the-bus mentality destroys any hope the Republican Party has for regaining momentum in future elections.”
We will let Chairman Allen’s words speak for themselves.

Rodney Davis will win and the love child of the D.N.C. will be back in Shitcago by May of 2014 working for some law firm that needs to meet their quota for minority hires.
The truth is Nancy Pelosi and the DEMOCRAT party want this seat. So they called RINO Timmy Johnson to be their pack mule and get little queen to run.
Ann Callis gets a free ride through a primary and Rodney Davis has a battle.
The little queen touts her abstinence and she won the crown because she got bullied in school,,, are cruel, life sucks and you move on..Now, miss queen is being used like a street walker and her pimps are the DEMOCRAT PARTY and RINO REPUBLICANS…These pimps want something they can’t get,,, the seat held by a conservative REPUBLICAN  Rodney Davis and Nancy Pelosi can’t stand it..
Little Queenie and Nancy Pelosi have so much in common but the one thing that stands out the most.. both are FORMER QUEENS, their crowns are tarnished and time has run out on the both of them.

It is being reported RNC Chair Priebus requested and received a resignation from the "woman-hating" racist. The ultimate and salient question is, "Do you really want to vote for the candidate who employed Allen?" The question should be expanded, "Do you really want to vote for a party that is so infested with overt racist and women hatters?"

The next stop in our journey: progressive media coverage of conservatism gone rabid.

The racist scourge of the American far right and obvious support from right-wing media and many conservative politicians is transforming the nation into a Neo-Jim Crow society.  While Jim Crow worked like apartheid to oppress black Americans, the Neo-oppressors will step-on people of all races (Other than white) Jewish people, Women and LGBT people.

You must watch the embedded segment of the Rachel Maddow Show. It is a bit long, but not one second is wasted off-topic from the central message. Actually, once Maddow introduces her guest, you have a good opportunity to move back to reading here. I am not sure the guest adds significant value to the segment.

Let's continue our journey with Fox News.  Anyone who reads the TPI knows our position on Fox New (AKA FoxPEN: Fox Propaganda and Entertainment Network).

We have posted a link to a Daily Kos piece that more than details the Neo-Nazi English Defense League (EDL). Ollie Garkey, The Daily Kos,  sums up her/his reason for the well developed treatise as follows: "Here, I discuss the far-right in Britain, with hopes that by learning from mistakes made by the UK Establishment, we can prevent a similar rise here in the United States." Find the treatise linked here
Neo-Nazi, White Nationalist, and Far-Right groups are attempting to capitalize on the event.
Fox News has recently had the Neo-Nazi EDL's leader on its programs, and spoke in support of him.
The Garkey piece includes video and (Kilmeade's radio)audio of Fox News propagandist Kilmeade and O'Reilly providing support for the EDL based on the horrid killing of a British soldier by deranged "so-called' Jihadist. The two perpetrators are best described as insane murders, than your common low-life terrorist.  It would take a mind even more deranged than a suicide bomber to publicly stab and hack a person to death in the presence of bewildered crowds. If you can find a place in your mind to consider the killers of the innocent soldier other than the work of the insane, factor-in the killer's actions to seek video cameras for babbling insane rhetoric.  We believe the two murderers were just that: insane killers. We cannot imagine Fox News hosts scurring to the soldier's killing with implied support for a Neo-Nazis hate group.  The next stop is this week's tea party event.
June 19, 2013 Te Party IRS Event (not well attended)

Let's take-in an MSNBC Politics Nation segment focused the Tea Party with validating points (long made here on the TPI) it is a mere front for deep rooted conservative racism.

Linked article.  The text of the article includes a link to a recent study (introduction only) related to the likelihood that tea party leaders (and implied money backers) are likely to harbor deep rooted racial hatred.
The study published in Race and Social Problems indicates that Tea Party members are not necessarily any more racist than typical white Americans, but that the movement’s supporters are more likely to be, leading the researchers to conclude that, ”what the Tea Party means to its members and what it represents to the large public may, in fact, not be the same thing.”
We know the Koch Brothers are major financial supporters of the tea party. An important sidebar, I believe the Koch Brothers' father was a co-founder of the John Birch Society. The article also includes the following.

I am frequently exposed to Facebook request and email request to boycott certain organizations based on their support for conservative causes, anti-minority, or anti-Obama Administration positions. Many of the boycotts have worked as we certifiably chipped into Rush Limbaugh's sponsors.  I believe we also sent message to Papa John's as well as the parent company of Red Lobster and Olive Garden.  And, I still remain reticent when considering BP gasoline even though I know my lack of patronage hits the franchisee vs. the BP.

Activism counts when we have no other means of expressing our concerns. We certainly cannot take our concerns to the US Congress as it (both Chambers) have shown they march to drum we cannot beat.  We do not have the money for contributions and possibly for other enticements that seem to attract the attention and votes of members of Congress.

As stated above we can, at times, hit some organizations where it hurts. Even if we cannot leverage of buying habits to the point of hurt, we can send messages that we do not support what they are doing in many areas. We should never forget the personal satisfaction in thinking, "Oh, I stopped buying their products long ago,and here is why....." In my case Whole Foods is a prime example. The CEO was and remains way over the top in his past criticism of potential candidate Obama as we moved towards the 2008 vote.  And the uber wealthy owner of Papa Johns drove me way from an occasional (almost rare) Papa Johns Pizza based on his avid support for Romney and his threat to raise prices for pizza if the ACA was signed into law.

As I have followed and written about the Koch Brothers to the point of knowing way too much about the and their family tree, I have often wonder, "How can (where possible)  avoid spending money on products from the Koch Empire and, how can I keep up-to-date on their obvious efforts to shape the nation in their likeness. A likeness that I find personally repugnant.

I found my answer to the first part of that question.  The second part of the question? Simply be aware of and stay up on the inner workings o two men who would be "king."

While it is not listed above, i am reading much about how the Kochs' will benefit immensely from the Keystone XL Pipeline. Yet, another disturbing thought!

How about video "tribute" before I visit why I have spend time on this piece.

If you have time, play this one hour version or here (same version). If you are not a libertarian or not a conservative, the video might set a flame in your heart as you will see real danger in these men.

As I eluded to before, I often wonder how I can best practice my personal battle against people who will establish an oligarchy and a plutocratic state in American. These men are the archetypal in their quest to be "King."   I may have found the tool which will facilitate my ability to avoid spending money where it goes against the good of the nation.

Have you ever wondered whether the money you spend ends up funding causes you oppose?

A buycott is the opposite of a boycott. Buycott helps you to organize your everyday consumer spending so that it reflects your principles.
Example: During the SOPA/PIPA debate in 2012, a number of companies pushed to pass legislation that reduced online freedom of expression, while other companies fought hard to oppose the legislation. With Buycott, a campaign can be quickly created around a cause, with the goal of targeting companies with a boycott unless they change their position, or buycotting a company to show your support.
When you use Buycott to scan a product, it will look up the product, determine what brand it belongs to, and figure out what company owns that brand (and who owns that company, ad infinitum). It will then cross-check the product owners against the companies and brands included in the campaigns you've joined, in order to tell you if the scanned product conflicts with one of your campaign commitments.

A Look Back At Lingering Anti-Obama Propaganda From Dick Cheney

Last August Fox News Sean Hannity gave Dick Cheney opportunity to propagandize against President Obama as the nation moved towards the November General Elections.

"Obama is a terrible president." Cheney railed.  And he did so without one iota of evidence to support his false diatribe.

Time for a bit of perspective.  Perspective is critical as we move away from  April 25, 2013: Bush Library day.  Yesterday, Pew Research published a Daily Number piece.  The piece includes approval  rating data from the Bush inauguration through his departure from the Oval Office in 2009. The data and focus of the piece is George W. Bush with respect to the dedication of his library and his public perception as he left office.  Dick Cheney is included in on chart as he was culpable in administration of the verifiable worse presidential administration in recent US History.

We at the TPI have written and published many pieces about Bush/Cheney actual job performance (policies, practices, malfeasance and failures). Let's take a very brief peep at Cheney's approval ratings.  We offer approval ratings based on the data as a true measure of credibility from the perspective of voters and polling survey respondents.

A Case of Credibility

Addictinginfo Dot Org

By CBS News (article excerpts)

(CBS) President Bush will leave office as one of the most unpopular departing presidents in history, according to a new CBS News/New York Times poll showing Mr. Bush’s final approval rating at 22 percent.

Seventy-three percent say they disapprove of the way Mr. Bush has handled his job as president over the last eight years.

Vice President Dick Cheney also leaves office amid negative perceptions, as his approval rating stands at just 13 percent.

As Fox News trots-out the aging and increasingly inane Dick Cheney, the network fails to care that data trials exist. Data trails that place Cheney's rambles and self-serving drivel in true perspective.

Cheney just before the 2012 elections, "Obama is a terrible president", did not move voters to casting vote for Romney. The Hannity interview has other implications.  As the Bush Library was dedicated on April 25, 2013 (to open in May), the one-day politically correct drivel and oozing about Bush was disingenuous and frankly sickening.

Data Trumps Emotion And Propaganda

It only takes a few minutes to locate 2009 data indicating President Obama's economic team's success in stopping the nation's slide into an economic depression. A depression that would have proven disastrous for most of us who live in the American Middle and lower income strata.

President Obama's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Stimulus) was signed into law February 17, 2009 (Q1 2009). as you view the following sets of data, it is important to keep in mind many economist felt the Stimulus should have been approved at the request $1.2 Trillion Vs. the GOP shaved $787 billion dollars. Additional Stimulus could have proven even more effective at turning around the critically ill Bush economy. (The financial and economic mess left for Obama and the democrats)

Market Commentary: October 29th, 2009: 10 am (PST). Posted by Manu Walia
“Today’s moderate increase for third quarter GDP should provide some psychological lift for consumers and businesses since it is the first positive growth for the overall economy in just over a year. And financial markets are likely to like it since it is all about expectations and the advance estimate topped expectations. Real GDP in the third quarter rebounded an annualized 3.5 percent, after declining by only 0.7 percent in the second quarter. The third quarter boost came in above the market consensus for a 3.0 percent increase.”

“Jobless claims are not offering a clear indication of what to expect for the October employment report. Initial claims held steady for a fourth straight week, edging 1,000 lower to 530,000 in an Oct. 24 week that was not skewed by special factors. The four-week average is at 526,250 and does show improvement, down about 20,000 vs. this time last month. Continuing claims, where the latest data is for the Oct. 17 week, fell substantially, down 148,000 to 5.797 million and, for the first time since April, bringing the four-week average below 6 million at 5.961 million.”

Enough Is Enough

Cross posted from Mario Pipneri Dot Com

A Conservative’s “Enough!”

Republican Seal - Unhinged Fanaticism :
Another year of politics is behind us – one which focused on the presidential run and the madness which is the Republican Party. Even with the decisive election loss, Republicans refuse to set the madness aside and work with Democrats for the common good of the  country.
Conservative Andrew Sullivan has had enough and writes of it in a post he aptly titles “Enough!“. I quote in full.
Between the humiliating and chaotic collapse of Speaker Boehner’s already ludicrously extreme Plan B and Wayne La Pierre’s deranged proposal to put government agents in schools with guns, the Republican slide into total epistemic closure and political marginalization has now become a free-fall. This party, not to mince words, is unfit for government. There is no conservative party in the West – except for minor anti-immigrant neo-fascist ones in Europe – anywhere close to this level of far right extremism. And now the damage these fanatics can do is not just to their own country – was the debt ceiling debacle of 2011 not enough for them? – but to the entire world.
Those of us who have warned for years about this disturbing trend toward ever more extreme measures – backing torture, pre-emptive un-budgeted wars, out-of-control spending followed, like a frantic mood swing, by anti-spending absolutism of the most insane variety in a steep recession, vicious hostility to illegal immigrants, contempt for gay couples, hostility even to contraception, let alone a middle ground on abortion … well, you know it all by now.
But the current constitutional and economic vandalism removes any shred of doubt that this party and its lucrative media bubble is in any way conservative. They aren’t. They’re ideological zealots, indifferent to the consequences of their actions, contemptuous of the very to-and-fro essential for the American system to work, gerry-mandering to thwart the popular will, filibustering in a way that all but wrecks the core mechanics of American democracy, and now willing to acquiesce to the biggest tax increase imaginable because they cannot even accept Obama’s compromise from his clear campaign promise to raise rates for those earning over $250,000 to $400,000 a year.
And this is not the exception. It is the rule. On abortion, the party proposes that it be made illegal in every state by amending the Constitution. Torture? More, please. Iran? It should be attacked if it merely develops the technological skill to make a nuclear bomb, let alone actually make one. Israel? Leading Republicans don’t just support new settlements on the West Bank. They show up for the opening ceremonies!
Gun control? A massacre of children leads to a proposal for more guns in elementary schools and no concession on assault weapons. Immigration? Romney represented the party base – favoring a brutal regime of persecution of illegal immigrants until they are forced to “self-deport” – or rounding as many up as they can. Climate change? It’s a hoax – and we should respond by shrieking “Drill, Baby, Drill!” Gay marriage? The federal constitution should be amended to bar any legal recognition of any gay relationships, including civil partnerships. Their legislative agenda in this Congress? To “make Obama a one-term president.” Not saving the economy, not pursuing new policies, not cooperating to make Democratic legislation better. Just destroying a president of the opposite party. And, of course, failing.
Then there is the rhetoric. In just the last fortnight, House Republicans have asserted that secretary of state Clinton faked her recent fall and concussion at home in order to get out of testifying on the Benghazi consulate attack. And then the Weekly Standard quotes a Senate Republican staffer saying: “Send us Hagel and we will make sure every American knows he is an anti-Semite.”
Enough. This faction and its unhinged fanaticism has no place in any advanced democracy. They must be broken. But the current irony is that no one has managed to expose their extremism more clearly than their own Speaker. His career is over. As is the current Republican party. We need a new governing coalition in the House – Democrats and those few sane Republicans willing to put country before ideology. But even that may be impossible.
Unhinged fanaticism…and it’s not about to end any time soon.
