As Trump's World Turns: An Economy Teetering On The Brink

...of repeating economic history and the death of the Obama Economy

Related image

Two months ago Donald Trump posted a tweet which seemed to have been crafted by the likes of Steve Miller or one of his White House economic advisers. The tweet stated numbers related to the US economy and a claim of a 100 record performance As is always the case with Trump & Company the figures were a lie.

Here is a one minute YouTube video of a Trump spox backing out the lie via a question from a White House reporter.

If you revisit the image in the lead portion of this post, you will find at least one glaring example of why Trump's economy will join others of GOP past presidents.

In July 2014, The Kansas City star made the grievous error of publishing an OP-ED from noted right-wing economic talking head: Stephen Moore.  The Star should have known better as Moore has been a long-standing conservative economic postulator who was undoubtedly has served in GOP economic policy for decades.  It takes nothing more than a quick Google search to determine the effectiveness of GOP economic performance compared to Democrat Party performance.  First, let's run through a quick set of charts and that promised perspective on GOP economic policy.

What about Moore?

If you haven't followed US economic news you may not be aware of Trump's impact on the US Deficit. Herewith are two articles (Forbes, The Washington Post ) with frankly and honestly credible information of how Trump is following GOP economic policy which can only yield another Great Recession. We should hope the GOP doesn't drive the nation to a second Great Depression.  Lest we forget Trump's Trade Deficit.

Now, that was a lot of charts supported information regarding GOP economic policy and its failed results.  Key data as we consider the current economic team with Stephen Moore as an adviser and frequent talking head on CNN.

Following an LA Times piece about how Tea Party tax cuts have turned Kansas into a state of economic ruin, Moore went to work while wearing his "GOP economic savior while wearing his tea party superhero suit) wrote the aforementioned OP-ED.  LA Times posted, here.

...So when his piece asserted that "over the last five years," the no-income-tax states of Texas and Florida gained jobs while the high-tax states of New York and California lost jobs, the editors waved it through.
Moore punctuated his statistical victory over Brownback's critics with the ironic refrain "Oops."
Read the facts via the LA Times link above.

Moore is not only the most visible of Heritage Foundation conservatives who consistently speak of the virtues of GOP economic policy, but he has also been around for quite some time. Thus Moore's impact on the continuation of economic performance delineated various charts above is undeniable and very much unreliable. Trump's current Deficit run-up is proof positive of the failures of the Trump economy. The current spending validated the myth the GOP is the party of the fiscal conservative.

All said let's watch Moore along with the most verbose of Trump economic supporters (via television): Stuart Varney.  The backdrop of the following video is the current deep drops in stock market indicators. You will notice the show host's attempts to dismiss or make less critical matters related to economic indicators.

Will America ever learn?

The GOP is a party of social regression with a deep aversion to societal change. It is not a party imbued with an aversion to spending and it is a party which will forever advance policies which favor the rich And. those policies will always fail..and guess who suffers most? It is worth noting Moore nor Varney and by no means, any of the men pictured in the led photograph, are some of the nation's most wealthy.

And then there is this.

The stock market on the day Trump signed the tax bill: 24,754 The stock market today, nearly a year later: 24,480. That's a decrease of 1.1% since the tax bill was signed. And in the meantime, the US debt is exploding at an even more unsustainable rate.
Wake Up America!

TPI Morning Gazette: Trump, Walker, Coulter, US Deficit

Non-Progressive News

How did those make the Gazettte! We really must have Donald Trump deal with our editor!

Ann Coulter goes whacked-out with unsubstantiated drivel. Women should not be allowed to vote and it is popular on college campuses. Would someone please pin Coulter down and press for details related to her rhetoric?

One of our consistent posits is a reflection of a famous World War II German pastor.
Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) was a prominent Protestant pastor who emerged as an outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in concentration camps.

Niemöller is perhaps best remembered for the quotation:
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-

Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Conservative operatives and media pundits would deprive you of your right to vote, also.  Isn't it enough the GOP is suppressing the black vote. Why does your vote pose a problem?  It poses a problem because far too many of you also vote Democrat.

If you want a bit of entertainment, click the first link below and take the survey. Basically, the survey will query as to whether or no you would vote for Donald Trump for president if he wins the GOP Primaries. The result speak to the level of disgust a specific group of respondents have devolved. In order to vie the results you must click a "Yes" or "No" vote. Recall, Trump has said nothing about the state of the nation beyond racist attacks on Mexicans and Mexican immigrants.

Etch-A-Sketch is truly a strategy for the GOP. When you are vying for the presidency with potential constituents would actually feel Donald Trump would make a competent US President, Etch-A-Sketch is the flavor of the day.

Scott Walker already has his "Etch-a-Sketch" moment.

US Debt, US Deficit, Spending and False Mantra About Obama Spending

Think Obama's a huge spender?
Last week we published a recent set of quick read pieces from Connect The Dots USA. Connect was one of the most prolific sources of information related to the Affordable Care Act as Congress worked in deliberation of the law and Connect was the point of information for the TPI as the GOP Congress sought to repeal the law.

Now, that the ACA is yielding forecast results on many fronts, Connect has turned-on another beacon of light: federal spending via deficit and debt.

Connect Linked

I really must join Connect in illustration of US Debt and Federal spending.

In case you missed the point:

Now, take Knowledge Effect look at the same period with particular attention to the Debt Limit per administration with a ruling congressional party following in tow. Looks like DEMs in the House have been generous and cooperative in facilitating GOP Administration spending. Alas, before the election of Barack H. Obama as 44th President of the United States.

The Republican Party has procured economic failures since Ronald Reagan and his fantasy of trickle-down (Supply side) Economics. The GOP to date retains trickle-down as a nucleus of their economic policy. The policy over-time has contributed to obscene income inequality.

U.S. public debt and the debt limit, while color coding each column to show the ruling party at the time.

Freakalytics provides a perspective

An exception for the economic mess Obama inherited, ".......Republicans have been less successful at managing US Debt increases when in control of the Presidency, versus democratic presidential administrations." Freakalytics

One more item with clear illustration of Big GOP government spending. And the party does so with consistent mantra and lies about fiscal conservatism.

Read much more from Freakalytics.

One last meme.....

Have you seen enough to accept, "your GOP is not the party of the fiscally conscience." Do you say you are not convinced?

Do you think the American voter will ever realize they are the subjects of the most heinous and effective political subterfuge in US History? The GOP is no more fiscally conscience than it for human rights.

I so have grown weary of hearing and reading about the disasters of the current administration.  I also have major issues with millions who buy into GOP propaganda and mis- information that leads to their running off to cast votes for a party that so clearly does not fight for the interest of all. In fact, the GOP only fights for its own interest and that personal interest involves serving as stooges and facilitator for the nation's wealthy.

Media Matters: Fox News.... Doocy's Deficit Lie!

You Betcha!!!

Media Matters has provided insight into the deviate minds of Fox News producer/propagandist. Earlier this week Fox and Friends ended a segment with the nation's least credible TV morning host babble a lie about how President Obama has increased the deficit.

Everyone knows that early morning news is a huge revenue magnet for the big three cable networks and the big three non-cable networks.  Most know early morning viewing demographics especially for males over age fifty. Hence, the heavy dose of "COUCH legs and thighs" on Fox and Friends.  If Fox News viewers had only Doocy and Kilmeade to entertain with anti Obama "red meat", the network would certainly lose market share.

While Hasslebeck starts to open-up (pun unintentional)  with more leggy shots in the AM, her male co-hosts have the task of spewing inane drivel and lies to viewers. Viewers who we do not believe for the most part actually buy-into the morning "doocy-doocy." There is another sector of Fox News "low information" viewers who may actually believe each strategic lie from the Fox and Friends hosts. And, that leaves remaining viewers who without doubt run-off to work with a daily dose of Doocy, Klimeade and "Legs"...Excuse me, Hasselbeck.

Media Matter explains how Doocy's Andrew Breitbart -like comments came from Fox News producers and writers.

The 137.7 percent deficit increase cited by Fox is ostensibly calculated by comparing the 2012 deficit to that of 2008. This figure, however, completely misrepresents deficits under the Obama administration, by picking erroneous start and end dates.

Two points.

As President Obama took office in January 2009, he faced a veritable, Moby Dick Great Recession, that was close to a second Great Depression. Major infusions of Stimulus dollars were applied to the worsening recession like huge DC-10 aircraft dropping hundreds of thousands gallons of  (lake drawn) water on a forest fire.

Media Matters addressed the phony Fox News reporting very effectively.  I must ask a set of  important question.

What is the current state of the Obama Deficit?  How did the president show such a pronounced jump in spending between 2008 and 2009?   What contributed?

The Deficit is decreasing!

Obama's spending seems to have fallen in a few critical areas.

I. Stimulus to combat the Bush Great Recession and ward-off Depression
II. Unemployment payments resultant from the Bush area collapse (2007 - 2009)
III. War Debt and Obama escalation in Afghanistan . (an Obama expenditure no doubt) NO CHARTED AGAINST OBAMA BELOW
IV. The Affordable Care Act (an Obama initiative for certain) NOT CHARTED BELOW
V. Tax cuts

Wouldn't it be more fair and balanced to admit that Obama's sharp increase in spending in 2009 was majorly influenced by the state of the economy after Bush?  We only ask for fairness in reporting.

Fairness at Fox is a form of misnomer.

FOX 2011 "Playing the numbers with Unemployment 2011"

On Monday, Fox News displayed a chart illustrating changes to the unemployment rate during 2011:
Note how the 8.6 percent unemployment rate in November looks higher than March's 8.8 percent rate, and about the same as the 9 percent unemployment rate in October.

More According to Egberto Willies, "Caught Lying Again....."

Department of Labor 2009 unemployment rate (7.8%) compared against unofficial unemployment rate of 14.7 per cent.  The Dept. of Labor unemployment rate never exceeded 10 percent.  (See Bureau of Labor Statistics chart Q4 2009)

Additional Media Matters analyses of Fox News lies and misrepresentations. The representations from Media Matters are not examples of an incompetent newsroom intern. You will see are stark efforts to manipulate the minds of those foolish enough to tune-in.

Of course, Media Matters nor this webpage, has a Hasselbeck to "COUCH Leg" you through the data.

Umbrella Gate! Seriously Conservative America, Seriously?

After this introduction, we have posted a video is a exposition related to the scope and level of silliness conservative America is attempting to reap on President Obama.  We have run the video before; a re-run in the context of the following piece is critical.

As matter of re-introduction, President Obama ordered umbrella coverage from himself and  Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan during a Rose Garden public appearance and photo shoot.  Thunk of the catastrophe of a pre-mature and unexpected re-casting of the event. Or, imagine allowing the Turkish leader to be come drenched from the rain.

As you read through the piece, ask yourself, as if you don't already know the answer, "What is the problem?" Another question is, "Do these attackers not realize that all we do (today) have  electronic trails?" Are they so shallow they completely disrespect the intellect of millions in the nation? Once we move from Fox News sycophants and severe Obama haters who relish and value the attacks, the silliness rivals that of childhood recess antics.

Do you think this Marine, hates this act
How many of us would love to have
this image after discharge?
Al Sharpton, MSNBC Politics Nation host, will introduce the segment and conduct a series of comments and opinions regarding the outright disrespect of the president via child-like behavior of people who are all multi-millionaire entertainers. I avoid characterization of Fox New host as journalist base do their network role of (pure) propagandist.

Politics Nation (If you decide the full 9:29 minutes is not for you, at least check the opening 3:00 minutes and catch the segment close as Joe Madison follows comments from Chris Matthews earlier in  the week).

Tucker Carlson's The Daily Caller attempted to ridicule the president's order for umbrellas to shield himself and the Turkish Prime Minister from a brief shower.
In The Caller's Guns and Gear section, the headline reads as follows.

Obama breaches Marine umbrella protocol

Now let's read a coupe of excerpts from the piece.
According to Marine Corps regulation MCO P1020.34F of the Marine Corps Uniform Regulations chapter 3, a male Marine is not allowed to carry an umbrella while in uniform. There is no provision in the Marine Corps uniform regulation guidelines that allows a male Marine to carry an umbrella.

The relevant portion of the regulation reads, “3035. UMBRELLAS (Female Marines). Female Marines may carry an all-black, plain standard or collapsible umbrella at their option during inclement weather with the service and dress uniforms. It will be carried in the left hand so that the hand salute can be properly rendered. Umbrellas may not be used/carried in formation nor will they be carried with the utility uniform.”

Items not expressly delineated as authorized components of the Marine Corps uniform are prohibited. Male Marines are informed never to carry an umbrella from the earliest phases of training.

Not even the President of the United States can request a Marine to carry an umbrella without the express consent of the Commandant of the Marine Corps, according to the Marine Corps Manual.

The Marine Corps Manual, the guidebook that defines protocol for officers and enlisted Marines, in section 2806 paragraph 2, specifically states: “The Marine Corps Uniform Regulations, published by the Commandant of the Marine Corps, shall be binding on all Marines. No officer or official shall issue instructions which conflict with, alter, or amend any provision without the approval of the Commandant of the Marine Corps.”
Read more ( If you are curious and do not mind wasting time with silliness).

Does The Caller writer actually want to go there? Did I read 'male' Marine? May I guess the regulations allow women Marines to carry umbrella's while not allowing a man to do same. May I also assume there is Prohibition against the "Male" marine carrying an umbrella? Better yet, does The Caller reach so deeply for the inane, they do not factor-in the type of service the White House has orders to performs.   There are some who reach into the shallowness of a tadpole puddle to intimate the Rose Garden address should have been moved indoors.
"Should have been moved indoors."  Does the multi-millionaire provocateur have any idea the planning that goes into such appearances in the Rose Garden. Better yet, the provocateur does not appear to understand the quick reaction to a brief squirt of raindrops that ended as quickly as it started.  Yet, the provocateur posits and ridicules with, "Should have been moved indoors." I am being facetious of course the provocateur knows the tribulations an difficulty of quickly moving an international photo-op from its originally scheduled location. The provocateur is merely practicing Obama hatred and entertaining other haters. (Gotta earn that paycheck).
Now for a couple of noted Obama "Haters." Lou Dobbs on Facebook referencing The Daily Caller piece.
Obama expects our troops to hold damn umbrellas rather than go inside: It's disrespectful, inconsiderate, classless.

It is important to note the words used by Dobbs, "disrespectful inconsiderate, classless." Why should it be such for President Obama to seek the courtesy of an umbrella for a foreign leader? Obama has shown throughout the 2012 campaign he will speak publicly in the falling rain. Instead of jumping to Twitter for a quick tickle of his followers, the provocateur, Dobbs,  did not even reflect on times when Obama spoke in the rain. In fact, the president clearly stated he had a change of clothing available, but the Turkish Prime Minister did not have a change. A more noteworthy "boo-boo", Obama seemed to forget the leaders name. Yet, that would not draw the low intellect tickle of the umbrella insults.

Sarah Palin jumped into the fray with typical Ghost written thoughts that in total means more Palinese gibberish. (Link)
Scandalous Hat Trick Mr. President, when it rains it pours, but most Americans hold their own umbrellas. Today in...   7:26 PM - 16 May 2013
View image on Twitter
While the following image does not included US military troops. It is clear holding an umbrella to shield leaders from the rain while performing official acts is factually humane  and within protocol (at least for some people).

Before we close this piece, allow a link form a conservative web page: Conservaitves4Pailn.  Yeah.
What an unbelievable crook? Palin's remarks were classically as expected ignorant and focused only at throwing mud. She consistently throws mud and obviously has few mirrors in her home, as she is not very resilient when mud hits her in the face (figuratively). She should certainly not throw mud if the mirror in the mirror reflects with umbrella over candidate. Thank the heavens she has no chance of ever spending serious time in Washington DC.
It seems to me, the level of hatred of the president is so obvious among a segment of the population, the Right has allowed themselves to become overly ridiculous in their day to day attacks.
But, of course, when the nation is moving along towards an improved economy, we move from Bush wars, the Deficit is decreasing, medical costs increases are slowing, the party on the Right and their highly compensated demagogues must step-up to the level of muck.
