Free Annual Checkups For Congress: Obamacare Battles Among The Populace!

Free annual physicals for members for Congress. Healthcare at its finest for the nation's wealthy members of Congress, before voting to cut food stamp funding at $39 billion of over a ten year period.  Ah, life in the House of Oz is good.

Andy Borowitz
“My blood pressure was lower than I thought it would be,” said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio). “That’s amazing, because it goes through the roof whenever I think about how Obamacare would destroy America.”

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Virginia)—whose free annual physical included an examination of his heart, lungs, ears, eyes, throat, and blood—said that his doctor proclaimed him in perfect physical condition: “He said I should be able to live a long, healthy life and defund Obamacare for many years to come.”
GOP branding the Affordable Care Act (ACA ; AKA "Obamacare") and millions of Koch brothers dollars have wounded healthcare reform despite clear and overwhelming evidence it is good for the nations (collectively).

Opponents of Health Care Law Divided over Next Steps
A Pew Research Survey provides a illustration of how one particular survey group views the ACA.

Pew Survey highlights

Survey Highlights

  • 64% of Tea Party Republicans want elected officials to do what they can to make the health care law fail.
  • Just 25% say they have a very good understanding of how law will impact them.
  • Uninsured Americans are divided over the law – 49% approve, 46% disapprove
  • GOP draws even with Democrats on handling health care
  • 63% say law hasn’t affected them yet, but more expect that the impact will be negative than positive
The Pew Survey reveals a few intriguing items. But, none so intriguing as "Just 25% say they have a good understanding of how law ill impact them." If seventy-five percent of that particular survey respondent group responded as they apparently did, it is a problem for the individual. If it is a problem for the individual absent an intervention the problem eventually spreads to a problem for the nation.

There is nothing like a quick and dirty example of a point.
