The TPI Morning Gazette: Trump. Duggars. Fogle, Clinton, Walker, Cop Abuse

Other than the words of a carnival barker, do you think anyone actually believes Trump's unscripted and ridiculous claims that protesters in Chicago and Ferguson (Missouri) are "illegal immigrants?" I personally have yet to see nor hear any people protesting in Ferguson do did not seem to be young black people and to a much lesser degree young white people. Even the horrific visuals of the violent perpetrators in the community appear to be young black males. 

The business of separating whatever comes to one's mouth from a brain that thinks entertainment first and logic much further down the list is pathetic.

The really pathetic aspect of such a come-on carnival bark; media nor any listeners challenge such lies.  

Did someone at the Trump rally actually yell "White Power?"

The answer is "yes."

How about a comment from the Trump camp. or, should I say a non-comment? SOTU TRUMP CAMPAIGN MANGER-full-interview.cnn

The classic four minute plus non-answer! It is impossible for the campaign manager to not know of the "white power" yell. We will see if the campaign works to eliminate such racism going forward. Or, will the campaign leverage the white nationalism sentiment, via simply ignoring the racist manifestation. Actually, when you arrive at the event to the sounds of the Rolling Stones "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and take the stage with Lynard Skynyrd's "Southern Man," it is possible the yell could have been strategically placed in the "carnival tent." 

Of course, the very bloviating Trump would make a statement of contempt regarding teh yell, but that would put-off those who are actually seeing Trump as a white nationalist leader. 


Ted Cruz mimics Rand Paul's Chameleonism: the 14th Amendment. From 2011 via HuffPo through last weeks "change due to Trump", Cruz works to maintain a hold on his campaign for the GOP nomination.  He clings to a hold that is slipping due to Trump's complete and utter carnival barking. What is a GOP candidate to do?


The 14th Amendment states that “all persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

We truly do not believe most Americans (progressive or conservative, racist or not) to care about "Black Lives Matter," young protesters against the American justice system. Of pessimism extrapolates to other matters of race across our multi-diverse and multi-cultural society. 

A recent WSJ/NBC poll yielded respondent disparity in perceptions of cop abuse on minorities. The poll pool included a small number of adults, but seems credible while showing clear differences in perceptions of abuse we are seeing almost daily. 
Some 508 adults were asked questions regarding Baltimore and racial disturbances. The margin of error was plus-or-minus 4.35 percentage points for all adults. The margin of error is higher for subgroups.

A May 2015 Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI)  poll of 1,000 plus 18 years old yielded similar results. Yet, the PRRI results offer opportunity for much closer review and scrutiny. It was also accomplished with a larger responded pool (See Methodology below). 
Fair Treatment of Black Americans by the Criminal Justice System Approximately four in ten (41%) Americans overall agree that blacks and other minorities receive equal treatment as whites in the criminal justice system, compared to a slim majority (51%) who disagree.

Survey Methodology 
The survey was designed and conducted by Public Religion Research Institute. Results of the survey were based on bilingual (Spanish and English) RDD telephone interviews conducted between April 29, 2015, and May 3, 2015, by professional interviewers under the direction of SSRS. Interviews were conducted among a random sample of 1,003 adults 18 years of age or older living in the United States (500 respondents were interviewed on a cell phone). 

Is it possible Walker has orders from the Koch brothers to avoid social issues, or has he and his team's view of the survey offered opportunity to simply push aside the "slight" majority who feel "Yes" there is disparity treatment from the US justice system against blacks? In either case, the "numb" candidate from Wisconsin brushed off the issue as if it was a pesky gnat.

While 29 scientist signed and forwarded a letter to President Obama regarding the "deal." The GOP has been wrong on every measure and in every political since their lock-step declaration of obstruction against President Obama. Iran exponentially increased its nuclear capabilities under George W. Bush, sanctions et al. Why should Americans, as we do, but the current resistance to an opportunity to slow Iran's march towards a nuclear weapons?  We do so without regard for Israel and GOP desire to attack Iran. We do so without any thoughts the existential reality of arms sales from defense contractors during times of war.  And, we do so without any reflection of how such wars impact the US Middle Class. We are American and we cannot be accused of nor indicted for deep contemplative thought beyond our media. War also feeds revenues to media, folks.


Are we foolish enough not to realize war has become a US paradigm. We should remind the nation was not immersed in an active war during the Carter and Clinton years. In fairness, we experienced a major escalation of the Viet Nam War under LBJ and Obama has also enacted an escalation if Afghanistan.

Conservative operatives and media pundits would deprive you of your right to vote, also.  Isn't it enough the GOP is suppressing the black vote. Why does your vote pose a problem?  It poses a problem because far too many of you also vote Democrat.

Basically, the survey will query as to whether or no you would vote for Donald Trump for president if he wins the GOP Primaries. The result speak to the level of disgust a specific group of respondents have devolved. In order to vie the results you must click a "Yes" or "No" vote. Recall, Trump has said nothing about the state of the nation beyond racist attacks on Mexicans and Mexican immigrants.

Adelson: A Plutocrat With The Power To Demand Appearances By All Jesters

The GOP political climate took a bit of from over the weekend. Sheldon "I got money" Adelson summonsed top GOP "ring-kissers" to Las Vegas (and his private plane hangar) and other local environs to parade the crew in front of attendees at the Republican Jewish Coalition.  Of particular note were the "ring-kissers" who spoke at the event and those who were not present. Rand Paul stated he had family commitments. UUUUM, suspect he could not find a speech to plagiarize. More seriously, I wonder how Paul actually feels about the Jewish vote. Let's face it, his Dad has seedy and shadowy supporters who would not care for his cuddling up the Jewish supporters.

As we speak, casino mogul, Sheldon Adelson, who made his fortune in the dark world of gambling, is entertaining Republican presidential hopefuls to see who meets his fancy and deserves his financial support. In other words, who will do what he wants if he pays their way to the top office. Adelson is currently under investigation by the Department of Justice for "bribing public officials" in China to get a monopoly in their only legal gambling establishment. He got his wish. Now he wants to eliminate online gambling in America which threatens his empire. He's greasing the palm of politicians like S.C. Senator Lindsey Graham who are now entertaining such legislation. And he needs someone in the White House to sign it into law. The U.S. Supreme Court, through its Citizens United decision, has given the wealthiest citizens and corporations the right to buy our government. Our right to vote is mere window dressing.

 As Albert Camus declared, "What better way to enslave a man than to give him a vote and tell him he is free."

Apparently, Christie's appearance before the "would be king" private court did not go as well as the groveling Christie might have liked. He used the words, "occupied territories" to a man who may consider those words comparable to mention of Germany 1935 - 1945. While immersed in major full bore groveling Christie played a card that was a serious dud. 

Speaking at the Republican Jewish Coalition event at Adelson's Venetian resort in Las Vegas, Christie used the controversial term to describe the West Bank and other areas where Israel has a military presence.
"I took a helicopter ride from the occupied territories across, and just felt personally how extraordinary that was, to understand the military risk that Israel faces every day," Christie said.
Christie has issued an apology. Question. Do you see the power of the mega wealthy? When have you seen or heard of Christie apologizing for anything that comes from his mouth? It is also important for Adelson to remember, "Freudian slips" are revealing things. 

And here you have a gambling mogul with an "Israel first" and "at all cost" mindset.   A mindset that simply put means war from obliging politicians who accept his political funding.

Conservative, GOP and Adelson jingoism is without question disgusting! And, to think he would select our next president. StumbleUpon
